Shamrock Bulletin 10,000 Post Theme Week

Addressed to the Army of Club Penguin

Blizzard, Shamrock Bulletin HQ – From 2007 to the present, the Shamrock Bulletin has continued to produce posts, being at the centre of the Army of Club Penguin. Finally, the Bulletin has surpassed its 10 thousandth post and succeeded in breaking the record for most posts in a single month with 108+ post published last month in August. This post was intended to be the 10,000th to be posted on ‘thearmyofcp’ website, but, of course, in ACP fashion, a huge tournament victory and a record-breaking lengthy war took priority. Regardless, we aim to celebrate this momentous occasion and this post will outline just how we plan to do so.

To celebrate this milestone, we’ll be hosting an exciting week full of Shamrock Bulletin-related events. The week will begin with us practicing and improving our photography skills at a UK event on Wednesday. Next, on Friday during AUSIA times, we will be dressing up as reporters while also practicing our tactics for important future battles. On Saturday, we will face off against other army news organizations including Club Penguin Armies in our ‘Battle of the Newspaper’ event in the UK timezone! Last but not least, on Sunday we will be wrapping up our themed week with a special longtime tradition of a ACP Summer Awards Ceremony where we will announce the winners of the awards and celebrate our success this summer! This will show that we are not only strong when it comes to writing, but that we are also battle-trained and can defeat any challenge that comes our way.

During the week, a post will be composed recapping some of the old posts on the ACP website to show how far the Shamrock Bulletin has come since its beginning.

The Shamrock Bulletin will continue to be fully functional with pin guides, columns and more coming out throughout the week, keeping the legacy of the Shamrock Bulletin alive.

The ACP website has been posting articles since 2007 and is one of the oldest active army websites to exist. Throughout the week, in celebration of our 10,000th post on the site, we will be hosting some Shamrock Bulletin-themed events and will continue posting more posts/articles on the site to mark the occasion and to remember the history that has been forged into the Shamrock Bulletin.

When ACP was reopened in September 2019, ACP continued the tradition of posting cheats but this time, instead of Club Penguin it was for Club Penguin Rewritten. Club Penguin Rewritten was the second biggest CPPS at the time behind Club Penguin Online. Getting CPR players to join the army was critical in making the revival a success. These posts included party guides, pin trackers, and the locations of catalogue secrets. However, besides these guides, there weren’t many posts on the website other than event posts and weekly recaps.

This changed with the opening of Shamrock Bulletin in July 2020. It was used to try and communicate with and for the entire community. It started off with weekly columns that members could contribute to, such as Troop Interviews and Tales From The Past, just to name a few. Shamrock Bulletin also did weekly podcasts where a staff member would be interviewed by Zelly and Yeti. Later on, weekly Top Tens would be posted as well, along with the first AUSIA Arena being hosted that December by Shamrock Bulletin.

The Aces of AUSIA tournament was held alongside the Christmas Chaos. With most of the community taking part, ACP was able to make the finals and break the AUSIA max record with a max of 77 penguins. Despite this, ACP lost to Help Force but still managed to make history. Two years later, AOA is considered the first AUSIA Arena to be held in the CPPS Era with Rebel Penguin Federation and Help Force winning the past two tournaments in 2022 and 2023 respectively.

Along with introducing the first iteration of AUSIA Arena, under the leadership of Max, Shamrock Bulletin became much more organized and was revolutionary for the community. After Club Penguin Army Hub closed due to unfortunate circumstances, there wasn’t really a viable replacement. This was when Max introduced the new Shamrock Bulletin. The Shamrock Bulletin showed what an army could do on its own and proved that the quality of the content could compete with a much larger community-wide news organization. It was important for there to be there to be an alternative news source especially with the community losing a major generator of army news. Another way it was revolutionary is that it was a new way for troops to become more involved in army activities and also grow as writers.

While Shamrock Bulletin had a period of inactivity, it has certainly bounced back with new posts coming out nearly every day. This boost in involvement has allowed Shamrock Bulletin to push the boundaries of what it can accomplish. In the past month, SB reporters were able to release enough posts to break the previous posts in a month record with a staggering 108 posts coming out throughout the month. SB also was a significant contributor to the ACP website getting to the 10,000 posts milestone after 15 years.

Hopefully, you all can make it to the themed week events! It’d be great to celebrate all that Shamrock Bulletin has accomplished with you. That’d be all for the next week.

What do YOU think about this upcoming themed week? Are there any events you’d like to see in the future? Let us know in the comments below!
