Moment of The Month: August

BLIZZARD, Shamrock Bulletin HQ – Welcome to another edition of the Moment of The Month. August was arguably one of the busiest months of the year which led to many memorable moments and memories being made.

As previously stated, August was one of the busiest months of the year, many battles were had and many records were smashed. This led to the Moment of the Month poll being very cluttered with many amazing moments being voted on. The month started with ACP marching through the Legends Cup tournament and ended with a war victory. Despite these moments being front runners for the Moment of the Month, there were many achievements that ACP made in the running. With that said, let’s find out which moment was voted the best!

3. ACP Declared The Winners of the Summer Survival War

The Army of Club Penguin was declared the Summer Survival War victors after a series of 34 battles with Elite Guardians of CP over the course of three gruelling weeks. Following the conclusion of the Battle of Famagusta, ACP HCOM expressed their opinions on EGCP’s toxic tactics, which violated the standard term set by Club Penguin Armies, which states “no toxic tactics.” Following that, ACP forced a treaty on EGCP, and ACP emerged victorious with a war score of 18-1-15.

August was, as previously stated, one of the busiest months of the year with many amazing moments in the running from the SS war to ACP achieving #1 Army of the Month. Finding all of these moments through both ACP’s announcements and website took a lot of time with 108 posts being posted during the month of August alone. This meant that I would have to skim over these 108 posts to try and find the best moments and then go on to look through the announcements to find moments which may not have been posted on the site. Needless to say, with 12 moments being voted on, I could truly rest in peace knowing that ACP had found much success in August.

1. ACP Wins The Legends Cup

On Saturday, August 5th, ACP accomplished the unthinkable, lifting the trophy that evaded us for nearly 16 years. ACP had finally brought it home and won the Legends Cup tournament, triumphing over the Rebel Penguin Federation in a matchup that went all the way to overtime. The Legends Cup was originally created by ACP’s founder, Oagalthorp, but we had only made it to the finals once, over a decade ago, in 2011. In that instance, we fell short of bringing the trophy home. However, when we made it back to finals this August, not one but two curses were broken by making it to the finals after 12 years and winning it after 13 years with a staggering 61 troops from ACP rising up to defy all odds and upset the Rebels. History was finally made marking a new golden era on the horizon.

And there we have it, the top three Moments of the Month have been decided! The moments include a surprise entry sneaking into second place but nevertheless, all of the moments in August were truly incredible and none of them should be forgotten.
