Replay of Gariwald’s Sacrifice

As soon as you log on, you’ll be able to choose between replaying Gariwald’s Sacrifice Quest (which is from last year’s Halloween Party) or skipping over it. This is so players who missed out can be in the loop for this year’s party.

If you decide to replay it, here is a guide below:

This quest is huge, so we’re dividing it into 4 parts:
– Entering the Haunted Mansion
– Notes
– Keys
– Tanks

Entering the Haunted Mansion

First things first, you will have to talk to Gariwald at Forest. To begin the quest, click Start!

He will inform you that the Penguin Band has been abducted and is trapped inside the Haunted Mansion.
The problem here is that the mansion is closed off by a force field, and we need to open a hole through it to enter using a laser.
Gariwald then instructs you to head over to Plaza to talk to Gary, to build the laser.

The six pieces of the laser are inside the Puffle Hotel, so you have to go into it to retrieve them all.

Below are the six rooms you will need to visit to gather each item, alongside a tutorial on how to solve each puzzle.
Note: To grab each piece, you have to walk up to it.

Location: Sitting Room
Throw snowballs at each candle/fire to put them out.

Location: Dining Room
Click on each plate to align the moonlight with the puffle’s eyes.

Location: Ballroom
Use the arrows, located at the top of your screen, from left to right to know which direction to take.
Below is the example I got; it does not guarantee that it will be the same for everyone.

Location: Pool
Click on the pumpkins to make them explode.

Location: Library
Follow the path in the maze, and press on the pressure plate. Then grab the piece.

Location: Balcony
The statue will give out clues, and you have to reply to them by doing an emote.
Below are the emotes beside their clue.

After you’ve collected all six pieces, you have to head back to Plaza to talk to Gary once more.
He will instruct you to dig, so put on your Miners Helmet and start digging around the base of the laser.
Once it’s fully built, access the console to power it up. Connect each side to turn it on.

Now, you’re ready to enter the Haunted Mansion at Forest.

Notes

Once you enter the mansion, head over to the left to meet up with Gariwald in the cellar.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Before or after you speak to him, make sure you claim the Pink Pumpkin Basket, located in the cemetery north of the cellar. You won’t be able to claim it after the quest is over.

To start part 2 of the quest, click on Absolutely! Whatever you need while talking to Gariwald. He will then instruct you to find 5 notes, which will help us understand the situation.

Below, we will provide the easiest route possible to claim them all.

After collecting all notes, use this entrance to go back to a previous room and then to talk to Gariwald.

Keys

The notes and Gariwald help you understand that The Wanderer is behind all of this, and that the Penguin Band is locked inside the blue tanks, which are draining their life force to unseal his master. First, though, we have to unlock the Ghost Goggles, which are locked inside the chest in the room at the beginning. For this, you’ll need 5 keys. Below are their locations and the best path to grab them all.

Now, you can go claim the Ghost Goggles.
Put them on!

Tanks

Now, talk to Gariwald once more. He will tell you to go liberate the Penguin Band from the blue tanks.
To do this, you must throw two snowballs at each tank.

The locations are shown below, and by now the rooms should be recognizable.

When you liberate the Penguin Band members, you have to talk to Gariwald one last time, and then enter the final room, which is unlocked by wearing the goggles.

Then, a cinematic will play, which we won’t show, so you’re not spoiled!

To end, exit the now-in-flames mansion and talk to Gary to collect your rewards for saving the island.

Main Quest

To begin the Main Quest of this party, head over to Forest after you’ve completed the Replay of Gariwald’s Sacrifice. Talk to Gary, Aunt Arctic, Dot & Rory to begin.

Following an attempted demolition on the Haunted Mansion, a hole appears on the ground and sucks in Rookie, who was inside the mansion. The Elite Penguin Force has to step in to save him.

To meet Gary in the lab, go over to the Everyday Phoning Facility (don’t use your Spy Phone) and enter through the secret door. Not a secret agent? Click HERE for a guide on how to become one!

After talking to Gary, go find the transmitter that he tasked you to find.
It is located in the Lodge Attic:

Once you’ve given it to Gary, head back over to the Forest to begin the mission…

Following this, you will be teleported to the Coffee Shop, where you’ll be playing as Rory.
Finish your conversation with Dot, and then continue the quest in the Forest.

Gary went outside the area to do some readings, and you have to go find him.
Grab the flashlight given to you by Jet Pack Guy.

Go up to the top right to catch up with Gary.

Now, you’ll be playing as Gary, who has a flashback to his first encounter with Gariwald.
Go into the green pit above to see the flashback.

Back in the 2012 EPF Command Room, click on Gariwald to talk to him.
Sadly, you can’t interact with anything else in your environment.

When you finish the flashback, waddle down to go back to your penguin.

Now, you’ll be back as your penguin. You’ll have to traverse the maze to reach Gary.
Important Note: for this part, I recommend using the Night Vision Goggles. The flashlight will barely illuminate your surroundings.

Now you can enter the next section. Go to the top-left corner, then come back to the same area to talk to Gary.

Again, I recommend using Night Vision Goggles.

You are then tasked to go find Rookie by Gary, and you’ll be able to enter another section of paths across the bridge. In the images with paths, follow the red lines to make it through (essentially just walking straight).

Once you reach the end of the three rooms, you’ll be able to enter the next area.
Here, you’ll have to enter the next room following a musical puzzle.

Here are the colors in order:
Part 1: Pink, Blue, Orange, Pink
Part 2: Pink, Orange, Blue, Pink, Green
Part 3: Green, Pink, Orange, Blue, Pink, Pink

Inside, a sequence of dialogues will appear, which we won’t show, so you’re not spoiled.

At the end of the quest, you’ll reappear at the Coffee Shop.
Talk to everyone to receive your rewards:

Side Quests

Aunt Arctic’s Quest

You will find Aunt Arctic waiting for you in the Ski Village. She will tell you about a little boy whom you need to rescue from zombie penguins! Click on her to talk, then press Start! to begin the quest.

Waddle over to the Puffle Wild and head straight into the woods. Follow the confetti on the ground to help guide you until you reach the Puffle Circus! Once you’re there, throw snowballs at the 5 zombies gathered on the right, and you’ll receive your prizes once you’re done!
[Note: If you still haven’t claimed the rewards, go back to the Ski Village and press Aunt Arctic again]

Cadence’s Side Quest

For Cadence’s Side Quest, head over to the Dance Club and click on her to talk to her. Press Start! to begin the dance challenge and get at least a score of 3800!
Once you’re done, click Cadence again to claim your rewards.
[Note: You will receive the Music Maestro stamp after completing the dance challenge!]

Dot’s Side Quest

Waddle over to the Beach and click Dot to talk to her. She will ask you to find transformation candies that can fix the Monster Maker 3000. Press Start! to begin!

You will need to find 2 of each of the 4 kinds of transformation candies, so 8 in total! Here’s what they look like (they come in different colors!):

• Ski Hill
• Docks
• Cove
• Snow Forts
• Pond

Make sure you click on the real candy and not the fake ones. To spot a fake candy, hover your mouse over it. If it vanishes, then it’s fake.

There are no rewards for Dot’s quest!

Tourdude’s Side Quest

Tourdude is waiting for you at Ski Lodge for his quest. Click on him to speak, then press Start! to begin his side quest!

He will give you the Pumpkin Basket, which you need to wear. Then, head over to Snow Forts & Stadium and stand at the front of each door to Trick-or-Treat! After you’ve done 6 houses, go back to Tourdude to claim your rewards.
Note: There is a 5-minute timer, so don’t take too long!

The Spooky Spin
NewCP Halloween Party 2025

Collect candies at Snow Forts, Stadium, or Trick-or-Treat igloos to spend on the wheel located at the Dock.
You need 3 candies to spin the wheel.
