BLIZZARD, Shamrock Bulletin Headquarters – Time Capsule has finally made it’s comeback! In this column, we go back in time to focus on one big event that took place. And today, we will be talking about what we did around this time last year!

✧✧✧
Going back to May/June of last year, it was a hectic month of intense preparation for the first edition of the Around the World Cup tournament! The tournament is considered very important for us, so we worked hard for it. We had trainings, practice battles, and meticulous planning behind the scenes, all in preparation for the tournament, aiming to reach the top!

TRAINING & PREPARATION
As soon as the tournament announcement was dropped, ACP‘s schedule immediately turned into a packed schedule of trainings, recruiting sessions, and constant meetings to discuss what we would need to improve if we wanted to win the tournament. Leaders and higher commanders led events focused on improving our performance, neater formations, and faster movements, ensuring that each division is prepared to face armies in our respective time zones. Whether it was AUSIA waking up before sunrise, UK working hard the most for the final battle, or US troops staying up late, every troop of each division gave their all. Formations were revised, battle tactics were reviewed, and troops received individual feedback from their mentors to sharpen their performance.

Behind the scenes, the ACP staff team worked relentlessly towards one goal: the trophy. Each division held consistent recruiting and mentoring sessions, since we wanted to secure high max sizes in each round. Alongside recruiting, leaders and HCOMs conducted strategy meetings to prepare for the battle they will be leading, coming up with creative tactics to roast the opponents. Everyone was determined, troops during pre-battle received warm-ups, and main-chat was alive, hyped up to the fullest with a purpose, and it was to win.

ROUND 1, 2 & 3
The first round of the tournament took place on May 18, where we showed off our AUSIA division and battled against the Winged Hussars!

We managed to secure the first round with a clean sweep!

The second round took place on the 21st of May, which gave our UK division the chance to prove itself. Boy oh boy, it certainly didn’t disappoint, sweeping all 3 rooms with a win against SWAT!

The third round of ATWC was on the 23rd of May. It was the closest battle out of all 3 by FAR. It was time for our US division to shine and prove that ACP is DOMINANT in all divisions. We battled our brother allies, the Help Force, in a close battle going into overtime, and eventually winning the OT room. This win allowed us to advance to the finals!

The big battle took place on the 1st of June, where our UK division fought the Elite Guardians in a very close battle, tying two rooms and losing to one.

Although we didn’t win, we are proud of every moment of this tournament. It was definitely such a memorable time for everyone in ACP!
