SB Presents: Double Deck the Halls II

Addressed to Club Penguin Armies

COLOSSEUM, Tournament Hall I am pleased to announce that Shamrock Bulletin‘s holiday tag team tournament known as Double Deck the Halls will be returning for its second iteration this year! This matchup is scheduled for this coming Saturday, November 18th.

ORIGIN

DDH 2022 Trophy

In November 2022, Mchappy founded this tournament as a way to prepare ourselves alongside our allies for the upcoming December tournament season. While scrolling through the archives of the ACP website, Mchappy discovered a tournament that former 2nd Commander in Chief, Fort57 helped organize called the Double Team Tournament. Unfortunately, any records of the tournament actually occurring seemed all but lost as our army back then was going through major leadership dilemmas. This was around the time that Oagalthorp even considered deleting the website.

Before the community went through its usual holiday period, Mchappy wanted to host our very own version of the Double Team Tournament called Double Deck the Halls.

Last year in our first ever DDH we saw ACP team up with DV (Santa Army) to take on Help Force and Mercenaries (Evergreen Trees). This battle resulted in the Santa Army winning the tournament in a 2-1 victory. Of course moving into this year we wanted to repeat the massive success of this tournament that we saw in 2022, hence why its finally returning! Feel free to watch the video below to give you a better idea of the tournament format.

PARTICIPANTS & MATCHUP

Following tradition, we extended invites out to three of our allies for this years tournament. The armies participating are as follows: Coup Crusaders, People’s Imperial Confederation, and Rebel Penguin Federation. As such the pairings are:

Just like last year, the pairings were based on each army’s performance for the past three weeks on CPA’s Top Ten Rankings so that the small-medium armies could be paired with a major army. For example ACP is paired with PIC and RPF is paired with CC.

Don’t forget! The winners of this year’s Double Deck the Halls II gets their very own trophy and the chance to etch their names into history so make sure to give it your all!
