Operation WRFT: Our March Madness Journey

BLIZZARD, Shamrock Bulletin Headquarters – On March 14, 2021, CSY announced the launch of ACP’s Operation: We Rise From This. Over the course of three weeks, ACP has held many training events, maintained a position on the top three of the Top Ten, and advanced to the finals of the March Madness tournament. How far has the success of Operation: WRFT taken us?

Week One

Operation: We Rise From This commenced an hour after the announcement with a Spec Ops Training event. The same day, we held an Operation WRFT: Formations event. Friday’s WRFT: Speed Training event ended a week of heavy preparation with a fun tactic speed training event.

Once Saturday came, we logged on to face our allies the Water Vikings in a closely contested battle. The battle was scarily close, and both sides thought they had secured the win. Week Two

Immediately after the victory, we resumed the grind. Over the course of the next five days after the first round of March Madness, we hosted a total of seven WRFT events: WRFT: Accuracya three-way practice battle with the Help Force and the Blue Ravagers, WRFT: Diligence, and a Delta Division Training, among many others.

Finally, the big day came. All of our efforts of Operation: We Rise From This so far had led to this one moment. We were up against the undefeated army in the tournaments of 2020, the Rebel Penguin Federation. The battle was an exhilarating one, filled with lots of new knowledge Army of CP troops learned throughout Operation: WRFT. The results of this battle took more than 24 hours to become official, but in the end, ACP came out on top with a score of 2-1 and a total of 78 penguins online, bringing us towards the March Madness finals. Week Three

After the results of the March Madness Semifinals were posted, we worked harder than ever to meet our match against the Ice WarriorsThroughout the week, we held another seven Operation: WRFT events including WRFT: Innovation, WRFT: Stamina, and WRFT: Perfection.

The climax of Operation: WRFT began on April 3rd. On that day, we faced off against the Ice Warriors in an intense battle with an overtime room. However, there could only be one winner, and the victory was given to the Ice Warriors. Nevertheless, we did amazing at the battle, reaching a massive showing of 97, breaking both our HTML5 record and our CPR record! (results here)

We held our final Operation: WRFT event on April 4th. All our troops donned our party gear and paraded across Crystal, ending with a fun pool party in Mr Max’s igloo to celebrate a successful operation.
