We held numerous events, taking advantage of the various parties in Club Penguin Journey—such as The Fair, Club Penguin’s 21st Anniversary, and, currently, the Halloween party! Speaking of spooky things, this month was significant because we won the October Horrors II tournament; it was a one-day battle against Help Force and Water Vikings, spanning 5 rooms with 7-minute rounds. Congratulations on winning Troop of the Month! Did you expect it? How do you feel?
thank you thank you!! to be honest, i was entirely caught off-guard when i found out. i felt shocked and pretty emotional but now that i’ve had a chance to process it, i’m a little calmer about it. overall i feel very grateful
So deserved!! How did you find ACP?
around the time i was trying to be more active on CPJ, i kept seeing ACP’s stamp hunting groups around the island. i always stopped myself from reaching out until i just kind of went for it one day asked if i could join the group so i could get my own stamps when i had more time
That’s so cool! Who recruited you?
i’m always going to be able to answer this question right away because i was recruited by anya!! and not a day goes by where i don’t think about the person i could’ve been if she hadn’t told me to add her or if i had let myself walk away from the opportunity to join a community like ACP
Sweet, I’m glad you joined us. What helped you to get enolved in ACP?
while i had first joined for the stamp hunts, everything else that led up to me becoming an active and involved member are all a blur (but a very good blur). it’s like one moment, i was talking about not being able to show up to an igloo raid on time and then i blink and i’m talking it up in main chat for hours every day. i think if it weren’t for the events and the people i met in-game and in the discord, i would have never looked at the server again, maybe even left it after lurking for too long. i believe that having people who are so open to reaching out to make contact and talking to new faces made it easier for me to show up and socialize
We love you Banana!!! I know you speak spanish too. Are your family Spanish speakers?
i love everyone too! while i feel that my spanish isn’t the best (in my opinion because i see SO many native speakers in ACP and i, personally, admire them), i do have family that speaks spanish on both sides of my family. i’m relatively open about the fact that my mother is from panamá and that my father is from guatemala because i’m proud of my family’s roots and i’m aware that my position is one of privilege compared to the experiences both of them lived through before they had me
WOW!!!! thats so interesting!! Do you like the food from those countries?
unfortunately i’ve yet to visit guatemala so i can’t say i have much of an opinion on the food directly from there (aside from what my grandparents from that side have made during family gatherings), one of my favorite parts from my vacation to panamá was the food and i’m fortunate to be able to ask my mom if a certain dish would be possible to have for no reason other than que se me antojó

outside of the army and college work, i don’t have many hobbies. of course, i spend a lot of time gaming, but when i’m not doing that, i’m usually drawing. or shiny hunting in pokemon. i feel like it deserves to be its own category
What is your favorite game?
that’s a really hard question to answer because i wouldn’t say i necessarily have one game that’s my top favorite and they tend to change every few months. i will say that pokemon white2 will always be high on the list and so will night in the woods

i always struggle with putting my thoughts into words and having them conveyed exactly the way i mean them, especially when i want to be genuine, but i want to thank everyone who makes ACP feel like a family and a home. i know i’m someone who (aside from giving out the waddl answers) provides optimism and support to everyone, but there used to be a time where i struggled to have that same attitude when it came to my perspective on myself. after joining ACP, i’ve been able to recognize that i’m in a better spot emotionally and mentally. there’s not one person i can thank for this when it’s the community as a whole that has made such a huge positive impact on my life.
i can’t express enough how much i love and care about all of the friends i’ve made (even if it obvious when i’m talking in the server) and my DMs will always be open for them and anyone else who may need something from me or even a small conversation.
lastly, i think that people should be kind to themself. everyone should always show kindness to others, yes, but especially to themself. i think it can be easy to forget that, but someone can only get to where they are in life because of who they’ve been before.
