Times They Are A-Changing…

“Come gather ’round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You’ll be drenched to the bone
If your time to you
Is worth savin’
Then you better start swimmin’
Or you’ll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin’.”

The first and probably last time I quote Bob Dylan, but I felt it to be relevant for what I am about to say.

What happened to war?  It was what Club Penguin armies were founded upon, the lack of which caused the Dark Ages of Club Penguin armies, and what everyone seemed to want as recent as last week.  So why has it become so tedious and downright boring to some?  Recently, I have been hearing that people are getting tired of this war.  So I ask, “What happened?”

When I joined ACP, the era of major wars was already nearing an end.  All armies were at peace (most of the time), though not to say that we were all allies.

The ACP had tense relations with both UMA and the Nachos, both of them enemies of the past.  ACP and UMA’s rivalry went way back to when they were the two largest armies in Club Penguin.  ACP hated UMA, and UMA hated ACP, and both Oagalthorp and Pink Mafias were fine with that.  When a group of rebels were tired of how things were done in UMA, the Rebel Penguin Federation was created, founded by ex-UMA soldiers all the way up the ranks ladder.  Their leader, Commando717 went with war with UMA, and ACP sided with RPF.  Since that point, ACP was close allies with RPF, but tension with UMA only grew.

Like I said, by the time I joined, there really were not any wars.  However, every day when I came home from school, there was a battle.  Same server, same room, same armies.  ACP, UMA, Nachos, and RPF, every single day in the Dojo on Mammoth.  Back then, Mammoth belonged to ACP, and it had quickly become the center for nearly all army activity.  Despite the fact that there were no official declarations of war, there was always fighting.  UMA would invade Mammoth on a regular basis, along with the Nachos, to the point where all major armies were using the server in some way.

Back then, wars were fun.  You would pick a side of the Dojo, stand there, and fire snowballs.  Occasional chants of “ACP ACP ACP” would break out, along with similar ones from the other armies.  Back then, I am not even sure if “charges” had been invented yet, and if they had, they were almost never used.  At the time, Oagalthorp had pretty much written the book on army tactics, being that they seem outdated now, they are still the fundamentals of army fighting.

  1. Stay out in the open. Make sure the enemy sees you.
  2. Look as big as possible. Stay in a group, but don’t over-lap each other. Stand shoulder-to shoulder to create a giant, solid mass of soldiers.
  3. Make the enemy look as small as possible. When charging or standing near the other army, hold the “Tab” key and click right below the enemies’ feet. You should cover them up and make them appear smaller.
  4. Attack from below. This way the other army can’t cover you with their chat bubbles or emotes, but you can cover them with yours.

If you have never heard about the “Tab” and click method, it is probably because Club Penguin fixed the glitch, so it is now obsolete.  As for more modern tactics, I give most of the credit to Dialga80, the former leader of the Watex Warriors, whom I served under for about 5 months.  He is credited with the invention of the “Emote Bomb”, along with many other spam-related charges.  Though not often used in major battles, a glitch called “nubbing” was used to give your army the advantage of being lower on the battle field by hiding under the chat bar, thus enabling you to cove up your opponent.  This tactic was made popular by Mazachster, the former leader of SSACP.  Though he did invent this tactic, he, along with SSACP, made this a common method of fighting for small armies.  This glitch was also fixed by Club Penguin during their improvement project.

Battles back then, however, were much less about tactics, or even the size of your army.  Battles were won through dedication of perseverance.  The army with the most patience won the most often, and although size helped, the army that stood there and threw snowballs the longest, won.  I remember battles between two armies, neither topping 15 soldiers, that lasted for 3 or more hours.  The only advantage you could gain other than having the most endurance was size, which was utilized through recruiting (making sure that your army picked up the most soldiers who were just stopping by to join the battle).  Battles were always manageable because you could have a 4-way war in which none of the armies topped 15 soldiers.  That meant you could have 40 soldiers from 4 armies in one room at the same time.

As I recall fondly my memories from my early days, I wonder “What happened?”  The difference maker now is quite obvious to me.  The size of the armies has grown significantly, at least among ACP and the Nachos.  Each army can fill a room almost single-handedly.  This makes having allies obsolete, because you cannot even squeeze them into the room with you.  It pretty much makes fighting at all obsolete, because Club Penguin has room limits of 80 people, and ACP and the Nachos can easily combine for 120.  This means one of the two armies is only going to be able to get about a quarter of their army into a room with the other army, in which case that side is destroyed.

How did ACP and the Nachos get so big?  You could attribute it to two intelligent leaders with above average senses of work ethic, always striving to be the best.  Though I cannot speak for Person, I can speak for myself when I say I was never satisfied with being good, or even being the best army.  I have always striven to make ACP the best it can be.  It may sound the same, but it is quite different.  ACP has been arguably the best (or at least the largest) army in Club Penguin since around December, and even during our period of rebellions, we had been considered the strongest for so long before that, it was as if we were still at the top despite a humiliating defeat at the Battle of Mammoth in November 2008.  After winning the Christmas Tournament, I could have said, “cool, we’re the best” and been satisfied.  Instead, I chose to continue to lead as if we had something left to prove.  My philosophy was always to strive for perfection.  Even if you don’t make it, you’ll still be the best you can be, which is all you can ask for.

So what is the lesson here?  Could you say that Person and I are responsible for this because we are just too good as leaders?  Flattering, yes, but inaccurate as well.  I believe that what has happened was caused in part by one major event.  It has become a scapegoat for just about every Club Penguin problem you can think of, but in this case, it is undeniable the effect that it has caused.

When Disney bought Club Penguin, they introduced millions of kids to Club Penguin that would have probably never come across it.  The number of people using Club Penguin grew so much, that in mid-2008, Club Penguin had to develop better servers to hold them all, in order to prevent the constant crashing.  When I joined Club Penguin in March 2007, there were, in reflection, much fewer people using the game than there are now.  The servers were neatly organized by country, and almost everyone had a server that they used daily.  There, you would find your friends, and just hang out.  If you happened to come across a snowball fight, it was just that, a snowball fight.  You did not know the armies, the politics, the connections behind everything, it was just for fun.  For those who happened to come across true “armies”, you were almost assuredly on Mammoth, the center of all army activity.  Battles happened there daily, and everyone who used Mammoth regularly knew all the armies.  The majority of those who fought in the biggest battles did not even know that armies had sites outside of the game, they were just there for the battle.  They would come on after school and go to the Dojo, and just get a battle going.  Think of a warm, summer day, and you and your friends felt like having a pickup game on the sandlot.  That is what I always thought of it as.

What Club Penguin did by allowing themselves to be bought out by Disney, was introduce tons of new users.  Shortly after, they overhauled all the servers, breaking up the “nations”, so that each time you logged on, you had 5 random servers to choose from.  This nearly eliminated the “home” server situation.  Club Penguin users stopped using just one server, and switched to using whatever server they had friends on, or just picking a random server from the list.  Because of this, armies took a big hit.  They lost their “nations”, their way of organizing their servers based on country.  In addition to that, it was much harder to get your name out there, because those who knew who you were were no longer on your home server or your “capital”.  The new Club Penguin users, affectionately dubbed “n00bs” by the veterans, bounced from server to server.  If you came across an army, it was nothing special.  It may be a rare occurrence, and chances are, you will not see them again any time soon.  Back when armies all used Mammoth, everyone knew the armies.  They were used to them being there every day, and they were all raised in the “army” culture.

Back then, the term “citizen” was thrown around, used to mean someone who used your server.  This word has been rendered meaningless since the server reconstruction period.  You can spend a month trying to convince your citizens of something, then come back the next day to find that still no one knows who you are or what your purpose is.  The only server left that still holds on to the army culture is Mammoth.  Other armies were always jealous that ACP owned the server that personified the Club Penguin armies, as observed through countless invasions.  The moment that the other army leaders decided to make Mammoth neutral, everything went downhill…

Since ACP lost Mammoth to neutrality, it has been taken over by small armies, who have no knowledge of any of the major armies that used to reside there.  Mammoth has, in essence, become the Iraq of Club Penguin.  It has been taking over by gangs, ninjas, n00b armies, you name it.  No one invades it, because you might as well take on all the annoying little armies who think they rock in a never-ending fight for what Mammoth used to mean.  Just like Iraq, it is an unwinnable fight for even less of a purpose (if that is even possible).  Now that Club Penguin armies’ greatest server has fallen victim to the n00b invasion (just like everything else), there is really nothing left for us.  All we can do is recruit like crazy, building up our armies like nuclear stockpiles between the U.S. and Russia during the Cold War, hold meaningless battles with ourselves, attempt to create “fun” battles, and fight wars with no end.

Enough with the generalities, it is time to focus on the situation at hand.  The ACP and the Nachos are locked in a battle of the super-powers.  The term “major army” has pretty much become irrelavant, because everyone knows only two armies really matter at this point.  A quarter of ACP could conquer the entire USRPF, and the Nachos’ Air Force could take out IW and UMA at the same time.  I have been pondering the question of why Club Penguin armies are in a “Dark Age” when ACP and the Nachos are the biggest armies Club Penguin has ever seen.  Why do ACP and the Nachos grow while everyone else falls?  The answer started out simple: you need to keep your army active to be successful, and Person and I were the best at doing that.  When Commando came back, RPF made a huge comeback.  Since his retirement, they have fallen to the level they were trapped at months before.  Everyone else just dug themselves a hole, and ACP and the Nachos ran away with it.  Since then, it has become more extreme.  The strategy behind recruiting is that the more recruits you get, the more recruits you get, which sounds really pointless and repetitive.  When you think about it though, it makes sense.  If you have a 5-man army, and you get them to do some recruiting, and each recruits a soldier, you now have 10.  Your 10-man army recruits another 10.  Now you have 20, and they recruit another 20.  Now your 40-man army keeps with that pace, and suddenly you have 80.  Etcetera, etcetera…

I saw an interesting statement by Furbur of RPF saying that this war would be good because it will make ACPsmall enough so that people can fight us.  Because of that, Club Penguin armies will be saved.  The problem with that is that a war makes your army more active than they can be at any other time.  Although you are competing with your opponent for the recruits, you are still getting more recruits than you did before.  Because this is a game, and unlike real war, you cannot die, you will not lose any soldiers, instead, you will gain them.  Think of this war as a black hole, because that is what I would compare it too.  It is dark and infinite, and everything is sucked into it.  For a soldier in either the ACP or the Nachos, it may be sucking the fun out of fighting.  For a crumbling major army, it may be your worst nightmare and you have not even realized it yet.  The problem with this war, is that it is contrary to what many people believed would happen.  Instead of making Club Penguin armies more active, thus making everyone grow, it has only made the decent of these armies more severe.  Soldiers of these major armies in decline are sitting around watching this war and saying, “When are we going to see some action?”  The majority of the major armies have chosen to remain neutral.  Although it seems boring, it is the best decision.  Instead of entering a war in which they have no chance of recruiting anyone, due to the fact that ACP and the Nachos and their black hole of a war, are stealing all the recruits from the other armies.  By remaining neutral, they have allowed themselves the chance to recruit away from this war, giving them the opportunity to gain soldiers without being overshadowed by the two super-powers.  The problem is, while they pick up new recruits, their veterans are gravitating towards either the ACP or the Nachos.  If this war continues much longer, ACP and the Nachos will likely smother all the other major armies.  Then we come to the tragic end, because how much fun is it for there to be only two armies with any significance?

To tie this back together, times have really changed.  We cannot look at war the same way anymore.  Everything else about Club Penguin armies has changed, so something has to give.  Has war really become pointless?  How much fun is it to come home from school every day to yet another battle, a battle that you know will last as many as 4 hours, in which neither side will accomplish anything?

“Come gather ’round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown”

No matter what army you are in, you cannot deny that ACP and the Nachos have grown to a dangerous size.  Yes, our waters have grown.  Never has anyone had more soldiers.  Pretty soon, we will all drown under the sheer numbers of our armies.

“And accept it that soon
You’ll be drenched to the bone”

See, both ACP and the Nachos have enough soldiers to fight endlessly for hours.  The way you win a battle is when you have eliminated the other side from server, essentially, they have given up, or just run out of soldiers.  The problem is, we are both too large.  We will never run out of soldiers, nor will we give in.  I know Person is the same way.  I play to win.  There may be no shame in defeat, but if you give up, you might as well get out.  Thus, each day is ended with a cease fire.  Because no one wants to surrender, but no one is mentally able to fight any longer.  We are trapped in an endless cycle, a meaningless existence, an infinite black hole.  You know, black holes have enough gravitational pull that even light cannot escape.  I cannot find the light, and thus, I do not see a way out.

“If your time to you
Is worth savin’
Then you better start swimmin’
Or you’ll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin’.”

Are Club Penguin armies worth saving?  If they are, we need to do something fast, or we are all going under.  Times have changed.  Now we must change too.

  7. Wow long post, but filled with wisdom

  8. Yup, filled with wisdom, indeed, but not a certain thing that begins with P.

  9. 7th and really, really long speech and i only read the important parts buta really good speech full of meaning.

  10. Oh my God I thought u were retiring at first o_o I swear, I gotta meet this Dialga guy. Wait.. final goodbye.. I’ll be back in a sec.

    -Fox

  11. Great speech, Boomer. Steak, I can’t figure out what that thing with a P is. Weird.

  12. Boomer is retiring in June, Fox, not for another month.

  13. Possibly the longest post on the ACP site ever written.

  14. Bob Dylan is awesome, And also Boomer I had to say that was one of the best post’s I have ever read. I CP in late 06 and have always been a part of wafare. I could rember then Warfare was common and it was so much fun and exciting. There were all kinds of armys from ones that were made at the last second without a website, too armys that were major and had large websites. It was all so much fun and overwhelming at the same time! I went from army to army as a noob new to CP. The i finally found out about websites and my true roll in armys took off. But sadly CP warfare really HAS chainged since Disney bought it. For example as a noob too CP I always used to go too the dojo and and find color war battles there, I always thought they were basic but awesome. Sadly when Disney came in and changed the Dojo color wars ceased to excist on CP……overall AMAIZING post and well done you truely understand.

  15. Whoa…that was Uh..Hard core…..CLAP CLAP CLAP GREAT SPEECH BRA!!!!!!!…. 😀

  16. This post contains three things: The truth, knowledge, and responsibility.

  17. Im Think im gonna Cry :sob:

  18. Btw Can someone Un ban me From AcP Chat?

  19. and i think people are tired of this war becuase of promos thats y
    boomer

  20. boomer that realy got to me we got to save it ok i was crying and dude we shud go back to the old day wen we had marines air foce and navy it was good times back them it shuold be good times right now

  21. toooooooooo looooooooooooooong

  22. That was the longest yet most true post I have ever seen since I joined CP armys, I know your pain 🙁

  23. So true…..CP warfare has changed it will never be the same…..

  24. thats what i thought before joining any armies

  25. FINALLY – someone who actually explains the reason Club Penguin armies got boring… the only reason that I heard most of the time was the fact that there were no wars. But I realize that after the second day, (possibly even the first) the war got boring and tiring.

  26. Oh c’mon, why do these posts get posted? who wants to read this? IDK WHO, who here actually wanted to read through that, all the people want is the blimmin promos, thats all they want, they ust wnat their name moved up, I ont get how peple like cp, I hate it, I hate, I dread haing to go on that stupid game for an invasion, or a war, I just HATE IT, and now there re all these pointless posts, and no promos, why is everyone still here? why dont we all just quit and get a life?

Shab: Do you hate them like I hate people using bold when they shouldn’t? Also I liked the post and I read it all

  27. I used to also think that CP warfare was not much fun npw becuase there are no wars….but now I realise it is simply because of these changes.

  28. This is the longest post ever on the ACP site to my knowledge, and I am 2nd generation ACP, so I remember a looooong time back. I think that we should invade Mammoth early in the morning some day. All we need is half of ACP to take it. Also, we could just send our members in. They should be able to take it with no help, since the n00b armies are so unorganized.

  29. Then, Boomer, what will/can we do to stop this?
Mass firing of our men, hmm?

Boomer: Idk, that’s the problem 😐

  30. Good post Boomer…

  31. Great words Boomer…

  32. This is turning into a Great Depression for all armies in CP.

We must do something about this! The Nachos started this all! We must get revenge!

    ~ Ticket22 🙂

  33. boomer i always wondered how u make your speaches so long; but it so so true i was at the battles in liek 2007 but i did not no there was a site until like 2008 and it is changing it i miss it liek so…. much

  34. Okay, back 😆

Jingle, IK that, but hey, has nobody ever decided to retire early?

ZZZ, I will forever admire your respect for other armies.

War is absolutely boring. I’m thinking maybe we could specify 15-20 soldiers (Maybe one of each rank) to battle. Like, Saint could lead Mitch, Noka, me, Jingle, etc etc into battle. Yeahh, weird idea 😕 But maybe it’ll work. I AM good with overly complicated ideas.

  35. […] Filed under: ACP | 32 Comments » […]

  36. I think that that was a very noble and heart warming post boomer 20, i now fell kinda ashamed i posed on the nachos site that we should end the battle, i never knew it from your prospective, and I’ve never know club penguin that wasn’t a Disney club penguin, i never knew what cp was like with nation servers…Hmmmmm… I might be able to do something about the nations servers, see I’m a friend of the moderators with cp, But overall, that was an is inspiring post, and i will do everything to help acp through these times!

  37. When I fought with an army back in the old days I wasn’t in an army i was there to simply have fun. ACP was created to protect Club Penguin and have fun, right? Well, if it was what are we protecting it from, and where is the fun? I don’t know what will happen in the years to come but i know this: something will happen good, or bad, nobody knows which it will be.

  38. True..Very True…..

  39. those were strong words

  40. whoa that took me awhile to read 😯 o well tho it was a good speech!

  41. I HAVE QUIT ACP y u never do promos u have no alies u dont say anthing on clubpenguin or chat (boomer) and NACHOS SEEM COOLER NO THEY R COOLER so thats y i quit and JOINED NACHOS i have made the right choice

  42. Guys I just want you all to know something……there is nothing we can do about this…… there is no “fixing’ this, there is no “changing” this we are stuck here in the dark ages…… unless people become more interested in armys or CP changed back to it’s original form we are doomed…..idk maybe it is possible one day everything will come back….but sadly I highly doubt it. As a late 06 CP warfare member I know declare this the dark ages of CP warfare…….and sadly this age may never fade. A true, honest, sad, and overall great post Boomer. “What caused this?!” you may ask well…..nothing in particular but what mainly caused this was Disney,Players of CP, Major army increase, Minor army decline, the dojo being “renovated” and a few other things. People we are playing in the dark ages of CP sadly but truely……don’t give up hope but don’t get your hopes high…….we all may never crawl out of this and we may all decline……
    ~Zzztops Nacho Grand General(Early 06er of CP)~

  43. That was the best post I have ever read. It was full of beautiful meaning and it held a message that we must follow. Time are changing, but how do we change?

  44. Nice post 🙂

  45. Sadly KT I doubt there is a way we can adapt to this….

  46. Ok, Iv’e been inactive for a long period of time, I had to go on a vacation with my family, some storms keep knocking the power out in my house, I just injured my hand that im currently typing with, (The hand, not the fingers) and my dad turned off almost everything upstairs where I log on because I keep trying to do my homework while my parents say rude comments to me that I hear every day from them now D:< im currently on my mom’s computer since my dad is coming home and my mom is with my sister. I might be inactive for a little while more, but im still here. Im doing all I can and this might be all I type in a while….but do not worry, “I shall return……….WITH WEAPONS!!” General Macarthurs “I shall return” thing…..with weapons!
~Slosh12223 the Lt.Colonel who aint (slang lol) giving up!
P.S Once im back, I promise I will try my best to stay in this army for as long as possible! l:’ < Odd emote I just found……

  47. I am going to up pondering this all night wondering if there is a way out of this…. I am afraid there probably will not be.

  48. Also, I think I might make some of the longest comments here l:’

  49. So this is why you were inactive 8) Lol, I actually read this post from a pingback from the ACP backup site 😯 The only solution is riding out the dark ages . . . Maybe Club Penguin armies weren’t meant for fantastic leaders, but 9 year old noobs 😕

Boomer: Actually I was inactive because my parents kicked me off the computer, but this did take 2 hours 😯 . Also, I don’t think you or me being good leaders is where the fault is, and you should be proud of what you have accomplished. Interesting thought though… 😕

  50. That may be the case person, maybe only noobs who have no tactics or good battle plans can lead armies, without having boring and pointless wars.

  51. nice speach boomer hands up that was great just other i say ur the main reason acp has become HUGE seince ur term and i hope u can stay leader for a while good work boomer

  52. I’d like my credit for creating the joke bomb back with the RBAA 8) 😆

  53. sometimes, i just wish that disney never took club penguin. now, because you can be banned forever for saying: “I dont really like hannah montana” and that most people on cp cannot spell “wrong”, “what”, “cool”, “choose”, and “why”, i am leaving club penguin in, i would say about 6 months or so, maybe even 1 year. I remember these days in which i would run on my club penguin home server (Alpine) and leave when i realized all of my friends were on mammoth. and since i was 9, i only used SafeChat, so when i unknowingly joined the UMA in the dojo to beat the life out of the Golds, I just called them “The Red and Black Team” and the enemy golds, i called “Yellow”… I eventually ended up meeting with Johanwilfir and Pink Mafias, but then, (lol i feel like a traitor) I went up to Johanwilfir and just joined the golds. but then summer was over, and i would not return to club penguin until September of 2007. my, how things had changed…… 🙁

  54. EVERYONE ASK CP ABOUT THIS! The old times were when I was in UMA on my old pengy fighting the ACP (I forget my old pengy name and pass I quit for a long period of time) Great times, I remember the canadian invasion WWII and many more, All those great times in Armies have really brought back memories. The ACp is truly a great army and i’m proud to be in such a great accomplished army. Maybe we can bring back Cp warfare…. It is just a matter of time and patience… Who knows maybe sony will buy CP? Good to know about this boomer I remember there were only colour wars in the dojo. Just wait and see….. Someday CP warfare WILL come back. WE have to do something about this. WE can do something. It would be a great pleasure to once again fight like this.

  55. Now I truly see it. The battle is endless, pointless. I will only come to 1 scheduled battle. Then I am done with this war. I dont want my joy to be squished out from Globo Joy, As in this war at these terms. One more then I am gonna help DDCP John16126’s army.

  56. Does this mean we can stop teh war, It would be funnier without arguing, and with teh Nachos helping us fight someone like teh RPF or teh UM A, or teh WW, or teh IW, or I can go on on on armies we could fight like teh UM A+RPF or teh WW+IW, sooooooo I know I am saying teh alot (That’s my idea for now…) so may we please stop teh war! See all of teh ACP and teh Nachos later~Teh Tigers Class CAN WE KEEP TEH SMILE ALIVE D=?! (that is my modo for now, until teh war is over, and I have said teh in all 17 times, including my name!)

  57. Another thing, When Order 67 happened, we killed tons of the small armies that kept this alive, I know this first hand. Back in early 08 I would fight (Along with someone who now ranks pretty high here) Againt 30 ACP, Nachos and IW with 5 or 6 people who just thought that red was better then green blue or yellow.

  58. In the little time I have on here, I think that putting a whole army in one room isn’t working…..perhaps since I haven’t yet seen one real battle in this war, I might not know alot, BUT, I do know this: I seriously doubt that one room being claimed is enough to say you win. I know that both the nachos and ACP are moving around in different rooms, but the fact that almost everyone is moving in a huge blob! Maybe ACP could claim one side, recruit there for a while, nachos do the same thing on the other side, they march off, they leave afew people to guard so one side can’t sneak attack, and then the rest is with the room switching and the charging, though that could leave the noobs who don’t have a clue what to do (theres usualy numbers going from 10-30) but in order to claim a server or protect it, you probably have to officialy make sure your enemy is defeated and has withdrawn EVERYONE on EVERY room. Yes I know im not in charge, but still if that plan can be put into effect on a server afew hours before the battle, that would maybe do the trick.
Lt.Colonel Slosh12223 hater of Disney, killer of the idiotic noobs who won’t listen to reason, and maybe the only guy who noticed that Disney approves micheal jackson hair in cp 😕 (look at the catolog in the gift shop lol)

  59. Ah, Club Penguin is getting thirsty for rebellion against Disney! (A reason my parents might be getting rid of my membership cause they think Disney brings wonderful things to the world, my response: Go look at Club Penguin and tell me if that looks like fun to you, if it does, I have 7 letters to say to them: R U BLIND!?)

  60. Awww, Fox, thanks for putting me in that list. I’m honored to be part of your odd, complicated war plan.

  61. lets put it like this Disney screwed us from our fun

  62. I guess I am a Brigadier General and one of your many on again off again friends, so it doesn’t surprise me. 😆

Oh, and sorry Boomer about your inactivity.

  63. how do i report unfair bans on chat?

    Ajk 89

  64. truly the words of a master war hero but the queaston is really dose club penguin really need army becase to some lenth i say were actally holding clubpenguin back

goofyh2obird acp major 500 day old penguin on the dot

  65. Personally I dont like support REAL war like Iraq,Afganistan and Vietnam

But I also think war is fun in Club Penguin we have somethig to talk about it suported us make this awsome pages. But…it is comming to an end… People plz try to be in the open make war for fun remember dont start insulting each other or haking each others pages. All I ask for is for war without insults and haking…

HAPPY ALMOST END OF SHCOOL AND BEGGINIG OF SUMMER DAY
    HAPPY WARFARE!

  66. Sigh, Boomer… I can barely stand this, there is too much drama in ACP now… we may have this war, but it isn’t the reason why. I like having war but its not that… Boomer the reason I’m saying this is because of… bad leadership and bad times… I’m only barely staying in ACP for 2 things, my friends and the FPG (Falcon Pawnch Group). Boomer if you really think you know what to do you’d give us another election…

  67. hi im goofyh2obird and i said i was 500 on the dot but im really 700 sorry for the messup

  68. at first i thought you were retiring by the name of the post. And than i actually read it. I think that was the longest post i ever read lol. Lots of good points though

  69. bored and save it

  70. 69TH!

  71. Oops, this is the 73rd which means that was the 72nd.

  72. OK then, 74TH!

  73. Write a book much, boomer lol.

  74. The point of this war is, ACP and Nachos are the two main armies. If ACP and Nachos teamed up, all the other armies might as well delete their sites and just basically end them. ACP and Nachos are fighting because Person wants to prove that he is BEST. Everyone wants to be the best. Why wouldn’t you? If you become the best, you still have to work to stay the best. ACP has been the best for a long time, but other armies such as Golds and RFW (except they got their site deleted) are coming up so it’s time for the two top armies to remind people who’s the boss.

    That’s the Flap View.

  75. I Garfieldh2, do say that times are changin’, I joined the Tacos (a somewhat n00bish army, now a piece of RFW) November ’08, for those of you that are rebelling against Disney, what do you think you will do? Mope around because of it, and if you did do anything, what will happen? NOTHING! But CP Armies must find a way around this current n00b wall, we are the oldest (and experienced) armies aka, ACP, Nachos, RFW, UMA, RPF, etc. etc. We overcame a lot of walls b4, why quit, there is always a way to walk around walls (or get over them, your choice.) And a definite AMEN BROTHER! to your wisdom, being a sloth killed the army. Also war could be fun (on CP) but without a purpose and a cause for saving others (or yourself) why fight? (I salute to USA for fighting with purpose) RFW fought against you guys because 1. Nachos are our best allies 2. ACP is getting too big for its bretches (server wise).
So all we need to do is band together and fight for each other on outside problems (hence all these noob armies) instead of each other so much. Also remember why CP was created, for fun purposes, war is a small track on the side. CP Armies got to remember that and work its problems. But we also got to keep fightin each other, with purpose, cause that’s why this was all started. But remember all these words I say because if we forget these, CP Armies might have to start all the way back, with n00bs in the lead.
    GO CP AND THE ARMIES!
~ Garfieldh2, RFW Head General and CP War newbie. HEHE

  76. This post is a fact many major armies want to deny.
THing is, nachos and ACP each have certain days weer they can recruit, thats why I think they are so big
    Ex.

    Nachos – Fiesta
    ACP – St. Patricks day

    What about other armies?
    UMA – Pirate party :s
    RPF- Black history month :s
    WW- Return of fever :s
    IW- Christmas :S

I think thats how they each got so big. In UMA’s case, CP basically hates us. Our name is filtered, mafias is filtered, and changing our name would just get rid of a famous army. UMAs uniform was NEVER returned.

The solution: UMA, IW, WW, and RPF merge, to create something (HOPEFULLY) that can match the size of Nachos/ACP

But of course, there are side effects. There would only be 3 major armies! No fun at ALL.

    Another solution: Drafting
Wouldn’t that get rid of the hard work the leaders put in to create that soldier? Another solution that doesn’t work out.

Another solution: The other armies recruit. Like I said before, other armies don’t really have a time when they can “recruit like crazy” or have a “recruiting time” ACP and Nachos do.

CP armies need another leader like Pink Mafias I don’t know what he did, but he got his army huge. But were can we find Pink Mafias? Compwiz said he would come back in the summer, and hopefully pink mafias can come on just once more.

I also think CP armies should start something like an empire, constantly invading for more land. In real life history, that is how Rome prospered. I think an army can only invade a server if it matches their server’s borders.

I don’t think CP approves of armies. I mean, UMA is the most hated, but armies are all hated. When was the last time CP returned the Roman helmet? Exactly.

Another Solution: I think everyone in CP armies should e-mail CP to have a section in the clothing catalog to have “Army of the month” with their uniform. In the E-mail there should be all the major armies uniform. Remember, its obviously not going to work out but why not give it a try?

We should have some famous people post about CP armies also. That would be a solution. If only the “noobs” of club penguin stilll knew about these armies, of if there were a way for them to know about it.

Another solution: I think that people shouldn’t be in more than 1 army. People who join would be WAY more active in 1 army, and that way smaller major armies like UMA could prosper (again :s )

Small armies are also a problem. They steal possible recruits for other armies. I mean, they could still be around but, yea.

Anyways I hope you like my suggestions, and my like 1000 word comment, probably the longest thing I have ever written in my life

  77. WHOA! :omg: tht was a VERY LONG speech, but it was defintly wotrth reading the whole thing! 😉

  78. The Nachos, get 15+ recruits a day without recruiting . . . So as of now, we get bigger without doing anything 😕 XD

    Boomer: Yeah, same here 😐

  79. True dat cp xD

  80. Wow amd person dont get prideful! boomer nice post i love it!

    Rock on acp!

  81. we need to keep cp armies

  82. i fight for the honor in battle not for fun i love battling anyone anywhere anytime and thats how an army should be not scared and held back

  83. Boomer i loved those times were i was an unofficial acp member but i still fought my heart out i wish i could go back to those times. I remember i was fighting for over 6 hours with romans , acp and uma.I join around feb. 07 and got hook on the battles every like you boomer.

see ya from one of your soldiers

    ~combat56~

  84. This for some reason reminds me of when some guy says. “Jedi this isn’t a game, this is life” To whoever said that 🙄 Good luck in reall life 😉 xD

  85. i think that was me XD

  86. wow, that was the best speech i ever heard, i cried, that was amazing, good luck in real life.

  87. CLAPS YEAH BOI

  88. That speech made me cry, XD. Im just kidding, but it makes me wonder Boomer, and ACP. I mean is Club Penguin Armies really worth saving. Think about it everyone, everyone was complaining about wanting a war, and when we get the war, no one wants to do it. Im not talking about everyone, just a few. Even me, I wanted a war, and we get a war I dont even show up at the battles. Im asking us this as a army, Is Club Penguin Armies really worth saving. Plus, Furbur is the biggest jack in CP history, A war makes u more active, but like I said, is it worth saving. Im kind of torn..

  89. is striven a word??? 😕

  90. Well boomer is rite. We do need to do something. People are saying that this war has started because we kept on banning them because we thought that they were spying on us.JUST BECAUSE OF THAT. But I wonder if there is more to the story or if that was a cover up story. I have started to think that this war is pointless but, I am still envolved in this because i promised to be loyal to acp. Dont take any offense but…. maybe we should end the war and put up a treaty on both of our sites between the nachos and acp. If we dont want to drownd this is the most efective way to help everyone on both armies AND all the other armies.

  91. Face it, The noob armies are the ones getting the small fun wars for a purpose. We aren’t because we have so many troops and nobody can match our size except nachos. That’s the reason why we don’t have many wars. Maybe you should go back to the old days and have certain ACP fight in different servers and maybe we can go back to the old days a little and we can have a lot more wars. We can use the Navy, military and the other ones. And certain divisions fight. So example: Nachos on server White house, Send Navy to White House, Military to patrol , Army to spy blah blah blah. It would probably decrease our size On cp a little but It would be a good strategy because we can make a room full! So about 40 ACP and 40 nachos in a room would work out. You could switch around a little so nobody gets bored on patrols.

  92. I have nothing to say. Idk why XD

  93. Maybe the solution is a civil war. Muwahahaha. 😈 After all, since the ACP and Nachos can’t seem to fit in one room, we may have to fight ourselves in a war with far more emotions than a lousy practice battles.

  94. Ok, um, so many of you do NOT understand “the old days.” But I’m too lazy to go pull out examples. I was, however, actually fighting during the old days. At the end of the third World War, a crumbling UMA did we fight. And this was the last war where there was ACTUALLY a CLEAR, DEFINITE winner. I’m not going to go into the whole thing, cause I basically already wrote the same thing on the delta brigade site…

  95. THATS REALLY LONG AND YES IM BACK

  96. and some of you don’t even get the post! 😐

  97. um, one more thing boomer. you’re pretty wrong about the whole “charges not being invented thing.” i distinctly remember easily winning a small battle while being led by orcacam07… i posted on the battle afterward, calling orcacam’s leadership brilliant. he said, “we just charge and regroup.” but with ACP chat not being used, charges generally did not take place in colossal battles.

there’s a lot of nostalgia present today.

  98. Oh gawd….
I almost thought you said the Fuhrer of RPF… 😳

  99. http://www.juneau2.wordpress.com plz plz plz plz plz go there! join my army P.S. i am still ACP im allies

  100. BOOMER THIS A$&!(^% WAS HACKING OUR SITE!!
    acprula22 I HATE THAT GUY!!!
I AM REPORTING HIM OR YOUR ENTIRE WEBSITE IMMEDIATELY.

  101. RESPOND

  102. oh forget it

  103. me little Jj?

  104. XD that was the quickest fail ive ever seen!!!

  105. 107th!!!!
and i agree with you Boomer

  106. Old days… Dialga, leader of the Watex Warriors after the great Tundra battle, back in November 2007. The WW took up half the room, and the ACP, RPF and UMA took up the other half. I thought it was huge when I was fighting. Now, ACP and Nachos are the same size as the then WW. It feels so long ago, when the Mammoth Dojo was filled with ACP, RPF, UMA and Nachos, without the ninja noobs. Then the Cold war. Log on every day, see Akabob and Oagalthorp battling it out on their sites. Fun stuff. Needs more of this stuff now…

  107. I’ve got one word to describe that post…..WHOA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whatta speech(applause) It would take me overhalf an hour to type that not including the time to thin up the words

  108. Which would take like 3 hours

  109. i reckon the only way to end these dark Ages is to delete ACP and Nachos and get us all to split up and join different armies:( Sad but I reckon tat is the only way to do it

  110. even though im a nacho but i do NOT I REPEAT NOT hate ACP.But boomer i would of never right half as much of that post. But that post was TRUE TRUE TRUE.good post

  111. I’ve only been in cp armies 8 months, i don’t want them to end! I only see one choice, and im very sorry for it. The ACP and Nachos must disperse.

  112. OMG GREAT SPEECH!!! I agree 110% when i joined cp in July 2006, the amount of soldiers ACP has now time 5 literally was the amount of penguins on cp. and from then on to around this time i would always go on mammoth with the rest of the rare penguinsand occasionally find myself unofficially fighting for ACP in the dojo alot, while they faced UMA or Nachos everyday. Now you barely even see snowballs thrown at all in our wars! all we have is charges and spam bombs. i only started joined cp armies in March when i finally decided that cp was getting boring and i needed something other than wordpress’s to make cp fun again, soulution: cp army. and since hen i have joined 3 armies, 1 big 2 small. and it is only fitting that i joined during the dark days.

  113. lol, I decided not to read all of it boomer 😆 but I know it was well written and said and all that good stuffz 😀

  114. Yeah, everything did change… I remember when I would come home from school go to somewhere like mammoth dojo and there would always be some kind of battle. We can’t change what Disney did to ClubPenguin, BUT we can change how we fight around it.

  115. Btw, I’m not on at 5 o’clock in the morning :-s. lol

  116. an ACP hacked the nacho site! >:0

  117. where just redoing that stupid vientam war in many ways if this was a real war many acp would be dead along with many nachos with in mins and many people would be dead just like in world war 1 when the MG was first used and if this was a hacking war many little kids would be ban for not even doing anything like a normal 9 year old girl sees nachos and acp battleing then sundly she gets hacked and ban forever for no reason and crys then cp gets many mad emails and just shuts everything down

my point of this is that this is becoming a end less war and is gonig to go on for all summer cuz everyone is home so we need to end it now all we do if fight and fight no fun anymore this needs to end soon

  118. I think we should have wars in igloos now so noobs won’t interfere with our wars!

  119. Boomer, Nachos were hacked by ACP or an ACP lover.

  120. man i cant stop reading this post boomer

  121. i want my 15 minutes of my life back plz 🙄

  122. have you ever heard ‘like a rolling stone’ or ‘hurricane’ by him too? theyre all good… BD

  123. I wish the CP before Disney was back 🙁 I’m only staying in CP because of my friends in ACP . . .

  124. Ugh I amz hazy, I cant rememberz much from yesterday, except running over hippies, mustve been ina game, goodish post, good for it, ish for the length xD

  125. I’m glad boomer made it this long, to discuss everything, it would have just been told in a later post anyways.

  126. good speech. “Times have changed. Now we must change too.” how do we change, and into what?

  127. @meat ya the same i only stay in cp cuz of acp.

  128. Great Speech Boomer I personally think that we should try to use scheduled battles less and use brigade pages to schedulebattles

  129. I agree times are hard and all armies need to do something about it. I say all leaders of all armies come together and have a meeting in private in some place secret ( say someones igloo )and also send patrols to get more recruits so club penguin can see the army side, and disney when they moved in the took over the show and spoilt the dojo so we couldn’t have fun colour wars like the old days! So I agree times are hard and all armies need to do something about it.
( good emotional speach Boomer well done )

    Leader of Green Eyes army
    Ice Land Pri

  130. I have a possible solution:
All armies will split into a minimum of 2 smaller ones.
Then we abolish all current army tactics. There shall be complete anarchy. It will be perfect!

    -Sheepman

  131. This is MY idea. We need a smaller army to get some troops of both ACP and Nachos so the smaller army can get larger! Result:
    This problem will be solved
    Another will rise!
Ice Land Pri has a good idea aswell.
If we use my idea, I suggest the smaller army should be FRW (Fantastic Red Warriors)

  132. Omg, the Nacho site got hacked O_O

  133. Boomer, i am a Nacho and i have served in Cp armies since 2007 also. I have seen the wars on Mammoth and all that, those were the good days, we should take the politics out of armies, it just kills all the fun there is (or was). I personally think that Acp and Nachos should both split their armies in 2, but were the recruit chooses the side. Then those two armies could constantly fight against each other. You made a very good point and I agree with you that this is like a black hole war. All in all, good speech.

    ~Nasa7

  134. ty for explaining promo problem

  135. @Nasa7
    Simple but I like it

  136. darn it I can’t swim! XD
But ya seriously this is a problem that needs to be fixed because in my opinion at least CP armies are in fact worth saving, some of my best friends on CP came from being in the ACP and being able to fight side by side with the loyal soldiers in.

    Sincerely, Rocknroll63, ACP major

  137. If the video was one second longer I would have shot my self…
