¡Qué miedo, ACP! Halloween has just arrived in Club Penguin Journey with the unexpected emergence of a mysterious Crimson Moon. Did anyone predict this in the weather forecast? A-anyway, it also seems like 5 factions have taken control of their own part of the island! This is getting very scary… should we join one? 😨 The guide you’re about to read contains everything you need to know about this incredible party. After reading it, you’ll know how to join a faction, where to find the many free items scattered across the island, all the party catalogs with their secrets and prices, how to complete all the party quests, which mascots will visit us, and more! Some even say vampires will be making special appearances. I hope they don’t suck my blood! 😱 This party has so much new content, so let’s dive right into Club Penguin Journey‘s Beneath the Crimson Moon: Halloween Party guide before we spook ourselves! 😰

Free Items
Location: Mine Shack
Walk up to them to adopt a Pumpkin Puffle!
Location: Snow Forts
Walk up to the front of the stand to claim the Pitchfork. Walking on top of the item won’t work.
Location: Cave Mine
Walk up to the Old Miners Helmet to claim it.
Location: Haunted House
Access the Haunted House Entrance from the Forest, and then access the Haunted House. Walk up to the Creepy Candle to claim it.
Location: Dark Chamber

LIMBO maze
At the Beacon, you can access a portal that takes you to the Limbo Maze.
In this maze, you’ll find two items: the Black Ghost Puffle Costume and the Crimson Rose.
To get to them, walk in the moving lights. If you touch the dark, it sends you back to the most recent checkpoint. The checkpoints are the pink diamonds on the floor.
Note: The first Black Ghost Puffle Costume you get is FREE. After that, it’ll require 50 Moon Candy. Click HERE to learn how to earn Moon Candy.
Make sure you get the Crimson Rose, as it will unlock another free item later on.
Once you go through the EXIT, it will teleport you into the Vampire Castle.
Here, talk to the Vampire Emperor to claim the Vampire Background.
Following that, equip the Crimson Rose as your Hand Item to access this entrance in the top right of the Vampire Castle.
In the Moon Dimension, talk to the Moon Spirit to claim the Crimson Moon Background.
Note: Having completed the Limbo Maze, you now have permanent access to the Vampire Castle through the Ski Hill.

TAROT CARDS
In the Book Room, click on this stand for a tarot card reading.
Note: You can only read a card every 30 minutes.
Every tarot card you read will be added to your inventory as a furniture item.

FACTIONS’ FREE ITEMS
Every faction has its own pin and free background to give away.
The backgrounds are available for everyone.
Note: The Vampire faction’s background is the one given by the Vampire Emperor.

FACTIONS
Factions have now appeared across the island to worship the Crimson Moon, taking a slice of their own land in the snow. You may join one for better benefits, but which one do you join?
Benefits for joining a faction:
- Exclusive pin.
- The catalog of your faction gets a 50% discount.
If you aren’t sure which one to join, do the Species Quiz, which you can access at the top right of your screen by clicking on the pencil and paper.
Once you’ve opened it, click on Take Quiz!

To join a faction, collect their respective Crest Pin at the location below. You can only have the pin of the faction you join; they’re FACTION-EXCLUSIVE and CANNOT BE CHANGED.

MOON CANDY
Moon Candy is a new currency you can earn to buy items throughout the party. As seen before, you need it to buy items from the catalog of each faction. You will also need it to buy other items from the Moon Candy Catalog.
FULL AMOUNT: The total amount needed to buy everything from the party is 59,150 Moon Candy.
You can earn Moon Candy by exploring the Limbo Maze or playing the new Trick-or-Treat minigame.
Inside the Limbo Maze at the Beacon, you will find Moon Candy floating over the piles like in the image below. Walk over them to claim it.
Note: These are only claimable once. They won’t reappear.

TRICK-OR-TREAT
Access it from the top right of your screen by clicking the Moon Candy:
The interface has a question mark button you can click to view a HOW TO PLAY tutorial, but here it is for easy access. Regardless, we will go over it below, as we have important tips for this.
To play, set your Igloo Privacy to PUBLIC. You can do so by following the steps in the image below.
Then, open the interface again and click the Claim! button to claim the Pile O’ Moon Candy.
Next, place it somewhere in your igloo. After placing it, make sure to waddle over it to start playing.
Note: Place it in a spot that is hard to find. The longer others take to find your candy, the more you will earn.
Stand on the pile to travel to other penguins’ igloos and find their Pile O’ Moon Candy. Do this as quickly as possible to maximize the amount of Moon Candy you can get.
After a while, the Trick-or-Treat interface will show you how much you earned from the people who went to your igloo!
MOON CANDY CATALOG
The Trick-or-Treat Interface also lets you access the Moon Candy Catalog on the bottom left.
It’s the same catalog found in the Boiler Room.

DARK CHAMBER
The Dark Chamber can be accessed from the Forest.
Here, in the Dark Swamp, you’ll be met with a musical puzzle.
This is the order you need to click the keys to solve it:
Pattern 1: PINK, BLUE, ORANGE, PINK
Pattern 2: PINK, ORANGE, BLUE, PINK, GREEN
Pattern 3: GREEN, PINK, ORANGE, BLUE, PINK, PINK

When entering the Dark Chamber, grab the Storm Lantern. It will light up your path.

Send them to your friends to celebrate the Halloween season. If you don’t have friends, send them to Queen Kay. Around 67 of them is a good number.

Escape from Limbo: Reach the end of The Limbo Maze
Access the Limbo Maze from the Beacon.
Walk in the moving lights. If you touch the dark, it sends you back to the most recent checkpoint. The checkpoints are the pink diamonds on the floor. To complete the Limbo Maze, reach the EXIT sign.

Attack of the Puffle Clones: Match One Puffle Item with 30 Penguins at Pet Shop
Add the same puffle item as 29 others at the Pet Shop!
Tip: Most have been seen using the Ghost Costume, as seen in the image below. Buy it in the Pet Furniture catalog for 350 coins.
Quests Reward:
You can earn this background after completing all the quests. Claim it from the Party Quests interface.
It will be revealed once the final quests are unlocked; the one below is a placeholder.
Mascot Visits
Dot and Gary will be visiting the island throughout the Halloween party!
Each is giving an exclusive background that can only be claimed during this party.
Reminder: if you have a mascot added, you can claim their newest backgrounds without meeting them during the party.
