Hello there ACP, happy September!

August started with one of the biggest battles ever, the Legends Cup final against the Rebel Penguin Federation. We were so ready to bring the trophy back home to Mammoth, and after a legendary battle, maxing 142 and going as far as two overtime rooms, we emerged victorious once and for all, and the trophy returned where it belongs. The rest of the month was relatively chill as we celebrated our Legends Cup victory but also rested after it. Still, there were many interesting events, and now we are getting to our 20th anniversary celebrations! As we are entering the anniversary month, it’s officially time to pick the newest Troop of the Month, which will be someone who’s efforts were most seen last month! Please join me in congratulating…

Adam has joined in mid-July this year and since then, she has been a huge part of our community. She’s very active in chat, being very kind and sweet, and interacts with many people. Due to this activity, she went on to keep the Chit-Chatter of the Week award for an entire month. Not to mention being a big part of our Portuguese community, where she chats often as well and even VC led an event for Portuguese members! Additionally, she has been very active in attending events and in the Recruiting Force, where she got Recruiter of the Week for her efforts! Because of all this and much more, we think she’s the right person to award this monthly award to. Congratulations Adam!

Interview with Adam

Hey Adam, welcome to this interview and congrats on receiving the Troop of the Month award! How are your feelings on receiving TOTM?

I’m so nervous I forgot how to speak in English! (😭) Seeing how many nice people are active on the server, it’s such a pleasure to get this achievement. Thanks everyone for that!

Lollll 😭 What made you be so active in ACP?

People usually think that we can’t create connections online, but I grew up by myself, raised by games, forums and social media in general. I’m changing careers after 9 years and ACP members help me to “slow down” my anxiety. I’m not gonna lie—sometimes it’s challenging, since I’m not an English native speaker, but nobody judges you from learning. And of course, I’m a little bit competitive as well 😎

Ohhh cool! You’re very active in the portuguese chat, did it help you settle here better?

One of the best aspects about ACP is that people try to communicate with you even if they don’t know your language. I was very welcomed by the few active Portuguese speakers we had back then (Bina and Catma), however, seeing the efforts of the staff and members like Rott to communicate with me besides the language barrier was probably what made me want to stay on the server.

Now that we are getting more Brazilian and Portuguese members, I want them to feel the same experience I went through and help them get comfortable in ACP as well.

That’s so nice! Outside of ACP, what do you like to do in your free time?

I’m crazy about Webtoons! I’m always reading many at the same time, and my current favorite is “I dare you”. I’m also a Fortnite player and I’ve been a little addicted to YouTube Shorts. Besides that, I tend to spend time with my family, watching Caseoh, TV series or movies. And of course, I love music. I’m trying to find a new favorite artist at this moment.

Sounds so fun! Have you ever had any favourite songs before?

My favorite song used to be a cover of Young Folks by Hunor, but nowadays it’s Houdini by Foster the People. And my recently most listened songs are Raining Stars by HAN and Bad by ATEEZ.
I take songs so seriously lmaooo

(insert the dj gif 🔥) If you had to binge watch one TV series in its entirety, which one would you pick?

The last TV show I binged by myself was the K-drama Gangnam Beauty, but I would say The Office! It never gets old, no matter how many times you watch.

Awesomeeee! Moving on, do you have any interesting plans for September or for the rest of the year?

I’m going on a trip to a book convention for the next few days to put my degree to use (I have a degree in Book Editing). For the rest of the year, I hope I can take my driver’s license!

Sounds cool and good luck! Does your discord handle (emdji) have any significance?

Actually, emdji came from my first nickname online, miguxa5. Someone who was very darling for me used to call me “mg” all the time, and emdji is the way you spell “mg” in English. It became my writing name for a long, long time.

Beautiful! Also, are you excited for the ACP anniversary event?

I am!!!! I’m not sure about what to expect, but the weekly events are always fun, so I know the party is going to be awesome. ❤️
