Road from Recruit: Misaki New

Hello there ACP, welcome back to another edition of Road from Recruit, where we interview long-time members of the army about their journey within our army. This time, we have our General, Misaki!

Misaki has joined the ACP in late March of 2025 and since then, she has been one of our most beloved members. She rose the ranks quickly and became a staff member in May of that year. Being consistent in her efforts to make the army a better place, she kept rising the staff ranks and eventually became a Higher Command member in November of 2025!

We have interviewed Misaki on her journey within ACP, let’s look at what she answered!

I am sure many people recognize you, but for those who don’t, could you introduce yourself?

Hii! I’m Misaki! I was kidnapped from the Pet Shop. Jk, I’m just a mere member of this lovely community! I’ve been here for almost 11 months now, chatting here n there… What I love more than attending events in ACP is making art for it.

You have been a member of ACP for so long! What inspired you to keep rising the ranks of ACP?

Omg I was so excited to see the rank system! I never knew this side of Club Penguin existed and I’ve been playing it since 2009 (sob) So I started to grind just for the fun of it. Attending all the unique and creative events kept me engaged and I was high up in ranks before I even realised^^

That’s so cool! How would you describe your rise through the ranks?

I felt pride in every rank I had, even as a Corporal. I know it kinda sounds funny and cheesy but I guess boredom can make even small things like these more fun. I thought getting Brigadier General would be it for me but idk how I just kept rising in ranks……I was doing basic tasks and didn’t really think I was doing enough. Jump to me getting HCOM, the one rank I could never have imagined I would get. I am grateful for all the new experiences and skills I learned through my journey in ACP.

What accomplishment in ACP are you the most proud of?

-One particular incident which comes to mind would be being able to help out during the 2025 Aliens War (it meant a lot to me). I know we were struggling through it, but it was my first war, and I was genuinely grateful for every person I DMed who showed up. We tried our hardest from start to finish together as a team. It helped me make new connections and friendships and got me a LOT closer to ACP in general.

-Second would be spreading our guides and trackers to Reddit. We got over 1000+ lovely members in few months (Thank you to the amazing Shamrock Bulletin Team for making the guides). I still have a long way to go and I’m looking forward to what the future holds.

Niceee! What were your favourite moments on your journey?

THERE ARE SO MANY!! okkkk so No. 1 has to be the ACP 19th Anniversary banner I made along with Thoma and Yeeter! I’m extremely proud of how it turned out! Others are not in any particular order…
-Next would be me sitting in a hotel room (I was attending my cousin’s destination wedding, my family was downstairs, enjoying the party) and beating DCP in the ATWC semi-finals!!
-ACP FINALLY beating Aliens in a battle (SR- Aliens war) after so many heartbreaking (& unjustified) defeats! I legit teared up when I saw the results.
-Spending time with thoma in-game during our initial troop days. We would just sit in the sports shop or his igloo and chat about Club penguin and general stuff.

Do you have any goals you would like to achieve within ACP?

The goals I have for now are to help ACP win March Madness #MMISOURS and be more confident in performing my HCOM duties

Finally, do you have anything else you would like to say?

Ahem I would like to say thatttt…….. I LOVE ARMY OF CLUB PENGUIN!!!!!!! sprinkles clovers everywhere (clover)
I will do my very best to make this community feel like a home for every member, just as it has been for me. From the very beginning, this community has given me a sense of belonging, support and connection, and I want others to experience that same warmth and acceptance.

Thank you so much Misaki for your amazing interview!
