Contested Hegemony
The date is January 4th, 2020. The Army of Club Penguin had just burst onto the scene a couple of months back after our shutdown in 2017, following the same fate as our childhood game, Club Penguin. The Rebel Penguin Federation was a major player in the army scene. They had dominated for over 2 years, due to their never closing their doors following the aforementioned game’s fate. Many tried to battle their hegemony, but RPF remained resilient, especially in this period.
Prior to December 2019, they had held the #1 spot on the Top Ten for over 6 months – it was thought impossible to overtake them.
Until we snatched it from them.
This was a historic feat, though not enough to blow the trumpets of our return into the world that is Club Penguin Armies. We needed to prove that we were better on the battlefield, and the perfect opportunity arose: the Holiday Championship tournament.
This tournament had a different format than usual. It was a one-weekend tournament: the semifinals were on Saturday, and the Grand Final on Sunday.
The first challenge for us was the semifinals against Help Force, and the first battle EVER to be led through voice chat in the history of our community…
“Good evening everyone. My name is Koloway and I’m the 47th Commander in Chief of the Army of Club Penguin. First, I’d like to thank you all for coming out to the most important battle of modern ACP history. Today is the day in which we become the army we always once were and the army we were born to become. It is such an inspiring sight to see how far we’ve come in just months; returning to our former heights and marching all over what once was ours. The sleeping giant from underneath that old field of clovers has awoken and there is no stopping who and what we were meant to become. Today we march into the Semi-finals of the Holiday Championship Tournament and face off against our allies, the Help Force. This battle has had a sort of buzz surrounding it all week long. From the ranks of Private to the rank of Guardian, everyone’s raring to go and win this battle. ACP past and present combine today in an attempt to further the winning culture that the ACP has been known for. There are members new and old today proudly displaying their Letterman jackets. It is the greatest sight in the world to see these people believed only to be legends back again as phantom members of our group. It is today that we show the world around us that we’re ready to win and that we won’t be stopped. The ACP is reaching new heights in this new decade and we will continue to do what we have done since 2006. We march on, always. – I hope that a fighting spirit engulfs you for the entirety of this battle and that we can truly defend our clover emblem. Let’s get this win ACP. I love you. I will give my all for my brother, remember that.”

We won the battle after going into overtime, meaning we would have to battle the Rebel Penguin Federation the next day.
Against All Odds
January 5th, 2020, was the day to prove it all. We were up against THE top contender. It was time to prove that we were back.
The final took place on the predecessor to CPA: Battleground: CPA: The Game, where ACP battled RPF in a very contested battle. The rebels had a size advantage, and whilst that meant trouble for us, we never backed down.

Then the CPPS started to have issues, forcing us to go offline and retry to battle. CPA: TG had never seen a battle this big. After many failed attempts to resume battle, both armies switched to Club Penguin Rewritten.
This made the battle go on for over 2 hours…

Following the last room, an eternal wait for results came. 1 hour had passed, and yet the winner of the tournament had not been announced. Still, though, no one left. Everyone awaited the results until the last second.
Then, the moment came – they were announced.
Army of Club Penguin victory.
January 5th, 2020, is a historic day for us; we beat a rival who seemed impossible to dethrone – with Koloway even dubbing it a ‘miracle’.
This Sunday, we’re up against them once more.
Hope Dies Last
Hope is a powerful, persistent human emotion that is clung to for a positive outcome, even in the worst scenarios.
As the troops awaited the results after having been in voice chat for over 4 hours, they started chanting, and chanting: Hope Dies Last. They all had hope, even until the last second, helping to push through despite the grueling circumstances – finishing with a trumpet of victory.
This Sunday, at 3 pm EST, we’re up once more against the Rebel Penguin Federation. They have clung onto the #1 spot on the Top Ten now for months, and every tournament they participated in this year, they’ve won it. That ends this Christmas.
Gear up, as we will do everything we can to showcase the power they saw from the clovers on that winter day back in 2020. Bring everyone you know – tell them about it. All hands on deck – the last thing that will die this weekend will be our hope; let it live on until the very last second.
Join me in this journey to advance to the Grand Final.

A battle worthy to be called a classic; one between the two armies that are debated to be the Greatest of All Time.
DEFEND FREEDOM, PRESERVE JUSTICE

WE GOTTA WIN THIS, EVERYONE IS NEEDED THERE!
Truly a day (night for me) and moment that can’t be easily forgotten. I’m still mad at myself for not making a video dedicated to that battle. Maybe one day, finally.
It doesn’t matter now but it was me who came up with “Hope Dies Last” motto, then Koloway used that – and the rest is history.
