Addressed to the Army of Club Penguin

BLIZZARD, Shamrock Bulletin Headquarters – Welcome back to Penguin Vogue. In this column, we pay close attention to the troops on the ice and their customised uniforms, investigating if and why they chose to customise them.

Welcome back to a fraudulent edition of Penguin Vogue. In the last edition, we spoke with a respected member of the Army of Club Penguin‘s Co-ordinator team, Rarity. This time, however, we will be talking to ACP Leader, AustinFraud to find out the origin behind his iconic customised uniform.

While Austin currently leads the Army of Club Penguin, this isn’t his first rodeo in armies. In fact, Austin first joined the army community way back in 2014 and has led many armies like Elites and Fire Warriors. During his time in armies, his uniform has changed; however, his current one might be his most impressive and stylish yet!

Upon asking Austin why he chose to customise his uniform in the way he did he responded as follows:

I want my uniform to have a part of every army I have led in the past or had a great time being a part of.

There are approximately 7 components to Austin’s outfit, the first components are the Green Letterman Jacket and the colour Green.

The Green Colour and Green Letterman Jacket on my penguin should be obvious enough because they represent the green mean killing machine, better known as ACP. Those two items served as the foundation of ACP’s uniform, and it’s only logical that I include them in my own.

The next components are the Cap and the Night Vision Goggles:

The Green Ball Cap and Night Vision Goggles signify another army I’ve enjoyed being a part of, the Elites of Club Penguin. Both items are the army’s trademark, and in my opinion, they complement each other because the cap covers the upper half of the goggles and fits well with the colour scheme

Next up is the Red Electric Guitar that he has equipped:

Red Electric Guitar indicates my leadership in Fire Warriors of Club Penguin. I had a great time in Fire Warriors, therefore it’s only right that I’d include it in my uniform

Instead of the typical shoes/boots worn by penguins, Austin opted for Flippers:

The Black Flippers represent my efforts in the Dark Champions army. I revived it from the ground up and had a very successful short run in the s/m community

On his back, Austin wears Black Wings:

Last but not least, the Raven Wings. I’m not sure why I wanted the wings, but they grew on me after trying with a bunch of neck items, so I decided to give them a go. I mean you don’t see a penguin with wings, right? lol

As well as these quotes, we asked Austin some questions about the origin of his custom uniform.

When did you first start to customise your uniform in such a way? Were there others that did the same?

I wanted my uniform to be unique when I joined ACP. No, I don’t believe anyone else did the same.

How has your uniform changed over time? Was there a point that your items didn’t represent armies?

I used the similar format for my last army, Fire Warriors, where I would add Dark Champions and Elites items to my uniform.

Do you think everyone should customise their uniform? If so why and how?

I believe they should in order to stand unique. How? Whatever they’re feeling like. They could always change it up if they don’t like it.

It seems that Austin put a lot of thought into his custom uniform; each and every single item on his penguin represents not only his armies but his memories in each of them. Each army must’ve made a special impact on Austin for him to want to remember them in such a way. It’s amazing to see the creativity that members hold.

What do YOU think? Should the items we wear represent something? Or should we just wear what looks good? Let us know YOUR thoughts in the comments down below!
