On The Battlefield: Army of Club Penguin vs. Elite Guardians

Addressed to the Army of Club Penguin

BLIZZARD, Shamrock Bulletin Headquarters – After a Declaration of War was announced on the 7th of August, the war between two major armies in the community continued to heat up but what effect has it had on the troops?

The “Summer Survival War” has been underway for almost three weeks seeing 34 battles take place as I am writing this post. However, the war hasn’t been one-sided, nor has the war been easy. Both sides have taken hits during the war both on and off the battlefield. However, troops aren’t often asked for their opinion, feelings or thoughts about the war in the media. With that said, we gave troops the platform to talk about how the war has been for them and if it has impacted them at all.

How do you feel about the current war and has it impacted you in any way?

Doctor Flower (ACP): The current war is uh… very hyping and it does kinda impact me sometimes all I can remember is just war.

Godheit (EGCP): I don’t think there is a specific feeling about it, I believe that the war is proposing many moments between members whether in victory or defeat, of course this takes a lot of our time, but we have a way of spending a good time together. Anyway, there is always the positive and negative side of the coin. The way the war impacted my life was just some routine changes because every day we have to fight, and I had to make some changes in my schedule.

Jgxm (EGCP): The declaration of war was not really a surprise all things considered. Now I do have to put in more time in CPA and EGCP, but that doesn’t affect me that much since this war has been a lot of fun so far.

Unkn0wn (ACP): I’m feeling ok about the war, it’s pretty nice to work with ACP and follow the tactics, sometimes it’s stressful considering the people who like to troll or just join the event and do something else ( afk ). I think EGCP are great as opponents, even though I don’t think the same about their morals. It’s pretty hard to talk about the schedule and its impact because we ( ACP ) are an army with a diversity of troops and timezones, but I know they try their best to attend most of the battles.

Do you have any favourite moments thus far?

Doctor Flower (ACP): The moment where we won like 4-3 in a row

Godheit (EGCP): Well, my favorite moments are always when we’re talking about ourselves and identifying with our problems and talking about it, and of course after the victory because it really animates the chat af. The war made everything more active

Jgxm (EGCP): Not any particular moment. I’m liking the war as a whole.

Unkn0wn (ACP): That EGCP troop who tried to curse me at the end of some battles, I think he’s hilarious.

How do you think your army is doing and what do you think has helped them to perform at such a level?

Doctor Flower (ACP): Our army is doing uh very good and epic and i think that its all cuz of uh you 3.

Jgxm (EGCP): It’s great. Even though we lost more battles than we won, we’re clearly in a good spot right now. Recruitment is what brought us here and is what keeps any army alive. That and also managing to keep our troops active.

Godheit (EGCP): I think EGCP is doing pretty well, we could improve in many aspects that was missing and we made things that were good to even better

Unkn0wn (ACP): I think ACP are doing great during this war, even though our size has dropped a little bit during the last few days, but we still have some loyal troops who try to attend every battle.
We’re still doing great, and we have great chances to win this war. We have strong leaders and loyal troops, and I believe these are crucial things for the victory.

It’s clear that the troops have been engaged throughout the war and have enjoyed it, but wars have ups and downs, positives and negatives. Despite this, the troops have been the cores of each of the armies. Leaders can lead but the troops are the people who keep the army running and make every single day possible. Even though the war has had 34 battles, the troops continue to be motivated and hyped up. The dedication is admirable and hopefully, each of them will be able to grow within their army to become high-ranking individuals.

During the making of this post, a force treaty made by ACP was posted. We contacted some ACP members to find out their thoughts on the treaty.

How do you feel about the war ending and did it come as a surprise?

Lettucy: I am very happy about the war ending! Everyone was getting really frustrated and tired, so I was hoping for it to end quickly as well. It definitely came as a surprise, the ending was quite sudden. I was expecting at least two more weeks of battles. I didn’t know wars could end in other ways like this too!

Tv Man: Well i kinda expected the war to end since we were winning a lot of times and I’m very glad the war ended because now we can focus on other things instead on them like Pandito said.

Clade: Man that war was so annoying I swear we kept going back and up it was crazy but it glad to see an army that is a worthy competitor

Spinister: It felt quite good to see the war ending as despite it initially being fun, attending couple of events daily started to become tiring, and with its end, the army can finally return to its usual routine. I am highly glad that we were able to emerge victorious in this war. The abrupt end only came a bit surprising to me since I was aware of the general war term breach.

It seems like the troops are glad that the war has ended and hopefully the ending will lead to much better things for both the troops and the army. It’s been interesting to hear what you all have to say!
