BLIZZARD, Shamrock Bulletin Headquarters – In a special edition of the much-loved Road From Recruit column, we explore how ACP General Zeus began his army journey as a private, and what led him to his current position in the Higher Command today.

Zeus, otherwise known as Jesus, first joined the army community on May 8th, 2021. He began his journey as a Private, climbing through the ranks to his current rank of third-in-command. To find out more, I spoke with Zeus himself in an in-depth interview to explore how he was first recruited into the army, as well as the events that led him to his position of General today.

How did you find the army community and end up joining the Army of CP?

I found ACP through Kailey on May 8th. I was just talking in a server and Kailey DM’s me and asks me to join the server. I said yes and joined. At the time I didn’t know what Club Penguin was and she asked me to make an account, so I created one. Shortly after I created one there was an event and I showed up having no idea what it was and joined VC.

When did you realise you wanted to stay in the ACP and climb through the ranks? Was there a specific moment?

There was no specific time, I just talked in the chat with other people and the community was great, so when I saw ACP had an event I would log on.

How long did it take you to earn a staff rank, and what was that experience like?

It took me 1 month and 3 weeks to earn Brigadier General, the experience of becoming a moderator was great. I attended a lot of events and joined the Recruiting Force when I was a Corporal.

What has been one of your favourite events to attend since joining?

My favorite event I have attended has to be ACP’s 15th birthday – the day was unique and it marked 15 years of ACP. It was cool seeing former leaders attend it.

How would you describe your journey in the ACP thus far?

It has been amazing meeting people and becoming friends with a lot of them, there’s been a lot of ups and downs but I always tried to look past them and keep moving forward.

What are the main changes that you’ve witnessed since joining to now?

Some of the main changes I have seen through out my time here were Cub and Max getting promoted to Commander in Chief, Max retiring from his position as leader, mass-retirements where CiC CSY and Cub departed alongside Kailey, Daniel & Robot from 2ic, Shane & Stevos retiring from 3ic, and Chicken being promoted to leader.

What is your favourite memory you’ve made in the ACP?

One of my favorite memories is getting Higher Command. I was hyped about it. Also, winning against the Doritos was incredible, everyone was happy and hyped.

Looking forward, what do you still hope to achieve here in the ACP/army community?

I would like to get the ACP sizes up, become the no. 1 on the Top Ten and claim the title back as the best army!
