BLIZZARD, Shamrock Bulletin Headquarters – The Shamrock Bulletin is here to provide you with the weekly happenings from the army community, all bundled up in one concise newspaper.
Headline of the Week: Armies Return to Club Penguin Rewritten
Slowly but surely, the army community is easing back into normality as Club Penguin Rewritten fixes up most of its major HTML5 bugs. Although many armies have continued with their choice to develop into a gaming community–and certainly even the remaining Club Penguin armies are expanding their horizons into different games–we’ve also witnessed an increase in normal events on CPR.
Return of the Fallen?
Even in times of uncertainty and transition, you can always count on people to make the most of their opportunities. For one, the People’s Imperial Confederation made a recent return under CP Rewritten with a leadership consisting of Emma, Sidie9, Shallissa, and SupremePower. The Redemption Force, on the other hand, accomplished a revival event just today, also on CP Rewritten. Additionally, the Sun Troops have announced a revival effort under the leadership of Nagrom, Midnight, Raider Rage, and YyChroniX in a website post. A formal event is yet to be held.
Other armies like the Pirates may be having rumored returns, although nothing has not been confirmed yet. Notably, they seem to be picking up activity with a post on January 27th and multiple pings about activity in their Discord announcements channel. Could this be a sign of revival or is it simply a coincidence?
Explosion of High Command Promotions
It’s been a bustling week in the army community with multiple High Command promotions across different armies. Gugspugs of the Army of Club Penguin was recently promoted to Third-in-Command, also known as the General rank. Over in the Silver Empire, Dman64w received a bump up to Grand General, or Second-in-Command, while Holly became their most recent Third-in-Command. SWAT also inaugurated Ash as their newest Second-in-Command while Grayrocket rejoined their HCOM. Will we see any future leaders among these promotions?
Armies Get Creative With Themed Weeks
There have been a plethora of themed events popping up in the army community as leaders think of ways to retain troop activity. For one, the Silver Empire chose to host a Pirate themed week on their own CPPS. The Army of Club Penguin also had a rerun of their civil war between the Echo and Alpha divisions, giving troops the chance to compete with each other in different games. As armies brainstorm increasingly creative approaches to running this community, what kinds of new themes do you foresee popping up?
