Today, November 11th, is Remembrance Day or Veterans Day in many countries across the world.
As I type this, there will be various military parades to honour those who have fallen. In the – Commonwealth Countries , the United States, Germany, France, Belgium and many others.
ACP will honour the dead, today is a day to reflect. Not a day for war. All the events of today are cancelled.
Today is especially sad for me, having had a great grandfather and great uncle who died in the First World War.
If you see a veteran today, thank them for defending our freedom. Thank them.
We shall remember them. We shall never forget.

Very very nice post cas, showing your respects to the soldiers that died in WWI. My great grandfather was also in WWI, but he didnt die and he was just a paramedic for the battle field (they wouldn’t let him be a soldier because he had glasses). We have a memorial in our town of all the people that die and I always go and pay respects.
My grand-grand-grand father was a Tsarist Commander during World War I. Although I know very little about him, I shall commemorate him today.
Sorry forgot it was supposed to be “great-great grand-father”.
In memory of Eddy and Jerry Hughes, soldiers of World War II.
You shall never be forgotten.
nice post
Lest we forget.
In memory of John Sckank my grandfather (btw my name was changed to Schenck)
Today is almost the day Mustafa Kemal Ataturk died.
R.I.P. soldiers of our great countries
This is always a day to remember.
Erm… It’s tomorrow… And my Grandad, who died a month ago, served in WWII and earned the rank of captain, 2 Purple Hearts, French legion of honour, and the bronze medal. My condolences to you Cassius. FYI he was from USA.
I celebrate this every year. I’m glad an owner took his time to make this post 🙂
