Stepping down

Since I can no longer stay active due to my schedule, and the fact that the ACP leadership practically flipped me the bird on my plan that would have ensured a successful invasion each of the Nacho’s districts in an hour or less, I’m not only stepping down from my position as 3ic, but officially leaving the ACP.

Reasons for this goes beyond them screwing up my plans that may have forced the Nachos into a surrender and probably would have saved the ACP’s ass. For one, the ACP is now a shadow of what it used to be. And you know what? It’s a disgrace. The fact that the ACP only gets 20 to 30 at events now is like spitting in the face of each and every ACP soldiers who fought to make sure we were number one. And the fact that Oagal or Boomer haven’t come back and done something shows that they honestly don’t care about the ACP. In my opinion, and one shared by both ACP veterans that I’ve talked to and the CP army world at large, the ACP should die.

Besides that, the Romans have been showing a lot of promise, and have actually been rising quite a bit. I’m sure in a week or so, it’ll be as powerful as your UK division. It’s certainly more powerful than our US division. I’m sure every member of the SMAC top 15 is now. Besides, it wouldn’t take much to make the US division surrender now a days. It seems like that if it faces a force even slightly bigger than it, a certain someone will always PC their leader and surrender.

Every.

Freakin.

Time.

Hell, ten days says I could send in the Romans at a US time, and our US division would just throw their hands up in the air and say “screw it!”.

I personally think the ACP is doomed, but it could live if you guys get your heads out of your asses and actually try to improve the ACP. Get rid of your crappy owners, you know, the ones that don’t come to anything, sit around on the chat doing nothing, don’t lead during events, and surrender to practically anyone. Get the troops motivated and make them loyal and disciplined. You know the difference between the Romans and the ACP? The people in the Romans are all loyal, disciplined, and respectful to each other and their leaders. You’d think an army that have Snaily and Waterkid paired together would be a ticking time bomb, right?

Nope.

They actually are able to work together, and so is many other old rivals and enemies in this army. What do we see in the ACP? Constant fighting between soldiers and leaders, no respect towards veterans, not listening to orders, crying of abuse when someone get’s banned for legitimate reasons, etc. This needs to stop. The ACP’s problem is it’s soldiers as much as it’s leaders.

Fix it.

I leave you with this: Unless you work quickly, the ACP is doomed. If you can’t fix it, then you might as well leave for the Romans, UMA, Nachos, etc, like so many former ACP have that have seen that we’re truly and royally screwed.

This is the voice of truth.

Explorer/Dj out.

  1. Bye Dj, thanks for coming back and helping. Short time as 3ic and a bit of a bad reason to quit, ACP 3ic for a small army leader. Meh. Thanks for helping.

  2. Thank you DJ 😉

  3. Dj, even Mchappy stated your plan was not feasible to invade 5+ servers all at once. We don’t even have 25-30 troops to split up not to mention coordinate. It was just too complicated and we had no manpower for it.

The Nachos have the numerical advantage and can easily defend all the servers even if we could muster 25-30 troops and split them up to attack 5-6 different servers at once.

    • We don’t need 25-30 troops, we only needed about 15, something the UK division typically gets.

    • I can speak for myself, thank you. My main reason for disagreeing with the plan is due to: a) the war had barley begun when the plan was developed, going through with it would have made for a short war; b) it was just asking for soldiers to be online for quite a while and switching servers multiple times. It would have been a tad chaotic considering ACP has been lacking organization recently.

    <Leaves

If you bail when ACP is at its lowest then good riddance IMHO. The last thing ACP needs is people who give up when the going gets tough, even when people don't agree with you. You need to fight for what you believe in, not bail out…

  5. This Man knew how to win your war, and you just deny him without trying. Nothing is impossible until tried at least once. Try it again if it doesn’t work the first time. Third time you can call yourself insane

    • I agree with this man. Splitting into divisions could work, and if we can handle the multitasking it’d be amazing. Most armies wouldn’t be able to multi-task like that, and it’d make wars more fun to invade at more than one place.

I’m just saying, ACP people, but you should listen to Dj. He knows a thing or two, and actually focuses on strategy and not just insane recruiting.

  6. >Implying you can do anything

    You’re overrated.

  7. Cya Dj. It was nice having you here. Thanks for the effort atleast.

  8. Dj, Snaily retired before you even became a 3ic. And I sort of agree on the owners. After all, when we joined, we ALL said we’d be active, and now this. But there’s pressure sometimes, like where an army pressures a leader to do this or do that a lot, it can get annoying and stuff, but owners, you need to be ACTIVE. I know, I don’t have a WordPress acount, meaning I can’t post actual posts, but if I could, and I was leader, I’d probably make sure my fellow owners were active, making ALMOST all events. And I’d also do 3 active counts at the beginning of every month, One for members; one for mods; and one for owners. There’d be 3 days for people to comment. I might have more ideas to improve ACP, but that’s all I can think of right now. And what about the CPPS division?

    • And by almost all events, I mean all events they can, even if they’re late, have to leave during the event, idc. And I’d also try to have an even amount of US and UK owners.

  9. Dj, have you ever tried sticking your head up your arse? Well, when you finally succeed… Come tell me. K?

  10. Yes, DJ has some amazing skills and strategies based on his previous experience with CP armies and real life too that he was willing to share and try with ACP to change it’s course. It’s unfortunate that ACP did not at least give it a try or try to make adjustments to the ideas that would make them more feasible, probably giving ACP success.
I’m grateful and appreciative, however, to have him apply his knowledge to Romans and honored to serve under him as his 3IC, together with Waterkid, working towards a common goal and giving it everything we’ve got. Loyalty, effort, attitude, participation and dedication are everything, remember that ACP.

  11. NOO!! YOU WERE THE BEST OWNER!! DON’T RETIRE!!

  12. I agree with most of the post

  13. 100% Correct, Dj.

  14. You sound like you think you’re some mega tactician, and you can achieve anything, and it’s the ACP SOLDIERS who are dragging you down? Good Luck with that, but come on, move into the real world?

  15. The tactic you had in mind was great. The problem though is ACP. This army has too many “noobs” in it. I’m not saying that out of hatred towards the ACP. It does.

  16. Get realistic. bro. You didn’t do anything to help the situation. Yeh, you were a good owner at times and people liked you, but this plan of yours does kind of seem unlikely to succeed and you do have your head quite far up your backside.
Instead of moaning about all the bad things we’re doing, why not try to fix them? You basically gave up as soon as you started, with the Romans and all. Why not focus your attention on something that is dying instead of something that’s already dead?
Do something instead of whining. Come back when you’re up to that, kthx.

  17. Everyone says this plan wouldn’t work, seems like ACP doesn’t have much of a choice but to try it… I don’t see any other ideas being placed on the table.

  18. “that went well”
