¡Saludos, ACP! Yesterday, Tuesday, September 9th, both Alpha & Echo logged onto Blizzard on Club Penguin Journey to partake in their first battle of the Civil War. This battle would mimic what old battles looked like, as it was led in-game and went on for… hours. Thank you to everyone who attended!
Here’s a summary of the 3-hour-long battle, alongside pictures, and the winner:
At 9:00pm EST, both divisions gathered at the Snow Forts, ready to confront in battle. The battle went on for 30 minutes at the forts, with many other rogue clans joining us: purple, pink, green, orange and yellow (purple being the biggest one, rivaling both divisions, peaking at over 20 people). @Stevos, the ultimate hacker, crashed us three times, making us relog and going back to battle constantly, damaging all groups, sometimes even killing them. @Former ACP 19th-in-Command Bert, part of Echo, defected to the yellow army, naming them “Light Miners”, which would last a short amount of time, peaking at 5 troops. This was only the start of what would become CPA’s longest battle in such a long time.

As the purple clan started to form by @MissKimmyK (who defected from Alpha), they protested for peace, and gathered in large numbers. Sketchbeck, leader of purple, constantly made them retreat, but coming back with a huge force of troops. This made Echo attack them at the Pizza Parlor, as they were gathering a large number of troops for a third time. This was to stop their constant growth. Alpha followed, continuing the battle. Purple retreated once again to the Cove, where Echo followed. Eventually, Sketchbeck left Purple’s chain of command, making it fall into pieces. This made the battle return to the Snow Forts, where purple once again started to rise into power, but without Sketchbeck in the lead, they fell apart. Alpha then retreated to the Mine, where they also became disoriented. Echo and a small pink clan which peaked at 3 followed, but Echo maintained their dominance, and Alpha was completely lost. With Alpha nowhere to be seen, nor pink being a threat, they went to the Underground Pool to regroup.

A spy alerted of Alpha’s location, giving false information. This led Echo to believe they were regrouping at Cove, which they then charged to. Alpha was gone. They then started patrolling the island looking for the remaining red troops – which they found gathering a semi-large at the Snow Forts once more. The battle then raged on, with Alpha continuously losing ground. Echo then went to the Stadium, as Sketchbeck went back to his original job before he joined purple: the ref. He asked for Echo to come to Stadium to sign a treaty, but it didn’t last long, as Alpha didn’t follow, who didn’t wish to surrender despite their size. When Echo came back to the Snow Forts, Alpha went to regroup to Dance Club, as they were struggling really bad. Echo then charged, following them, in hopes in ending the battle once and for all. This was 2 hours into the battle.

At the Dance Club, the battle raged for a long time. The only time there was any movement for the next hour was when Alpha were down to 4 troops, and Echo tactically retreated to Dance Lounge – hoping to split them up. It kind of worked, as when Echo went back down, Alpha was down to 2 troops – who then regrouped shortly after, picking back up numbers. The battle at the Dance Club raged on for a whole hour. The only other group who dared to go up against the two were the ‘Slaters’, who wore white – and peaked at 3 – prophesizing the end of the world on October 4th? 2 hours in, both branches lost steam, with only 6 and 4 people staying in the battle at the Dance Club. In the final 20 minutes though, both groups gained a huge amount of troops making an effort to win the battle. Returning troops from the start of the battle, alongside new, fresh troops, joined the battle’s last moments. With the Dance Club changing colors constantly, no one knew who would win, until it changed one last time.
