What Does The Legends Cup Mean To YOU?

Addressed to the Army of Club Penguin

BLIZZARD, Shamrock Bulletin HQ – The Legends Cup is already underway and we have already seen some armies battle it out for a place in the Quarterfinals. Our journey in the Legends Cup is less than one week away but what does the Legends Cup mean to ACP’s members?

The Legends Cup started on July 15th with 4 armies battling for their place in the second round of the tournament, also known as the Quarterfinals. The Army of Club Penguin have automatically booked their place for the Quarterfinals after our good run of form in the Top Tens but what does this mean? Well, on Sunday 16th, the Templars and Dark Pirates were scheduled to battle it out for their place in the Quarterfinals. The Templars were victorious in their quest to proceed on to the next round so we will be facing them on Saturday at 2pm EST.

The Legends Cup is known throughout the community by both new and old members but it may not hold the same meaning to both of these. Older members may be aware of the history and prestige of the Legends Cup whereas newer members may not. The Legends Cup was actually an idea that was created by our creator, Oagalthorp. Since 2010, it has been held yearly, with the exception of the years following Club Penguins’ closure.

However, despite the idea originating from ACP, the closest we have gotten to winning was in 2011, when we were able to make it to second place. It is because of this that winning the Legends Cup means more to the army than ever. We have never won the Cup, but we are hungry to win it.

ACP in 2011’s Finals

Winning the Legends Cup would cement just part of the legacy that this era is eager to create. But what does it mean to the members of ACP?

I took it upon myself to interview members of ACP to find out what winning the Legends Cup would mean to them.

What would winning the Legends Cup mean to you?

Caisha, ACP Major General: I’m SERIOUS about winning Legends Cup. I know we have faced challenges in the past, but this year we will bring it home without a doubt. I’m personally going to be making sacrifices and adjusting my sleeping schedule to give my absolute best to this tournament. I can already imagine how we will celebrate and how all our hard work will be paid off, and I can’t wait. 😀

Neighaw, ACP Sergeant: for me its personal achievement which I value highly. winning the legends cup is something I’ve passionately strived for a long time which i hope to experience one day.

Ugly, ACP Major General: For me and a lot of people, it’s being able to prove yourself to be the best. The legends cup by itself is the biggest tournament of the year, and winning it requires a lot of teamwork that pays off well. It’s not really just about the trophy its about the work that you put in and everyone around you, and that really what matters to me and why it would mean the world to me and ACP to finally win Legends Cup. 3 years ago I had no ambitions to compete in a Legends Cup, I didn’t even think I was ever gonna be good enough to be in Army of Club Penguin, but now seeing we’re closer than ever to possibly win the Legends Cup, it feels great.

Can, ACP Major: If ACP did win it, it would mean a lot to me.

Marbletech, ACP Second Lieutenant: Not sure, winning any tournament is good  I haven’t been at very many battles lately.

Calgocubs21, ACP Commander: I’ve had many big ambitious dreams throughout my tenor most of which have been fulfilled, ACP winning Legends Cup would fulfill the final dream of mine that I have carried on since I was 10 for ACP to finally win LC and bring home the tournament that we created 13 years ago. I could finally rest easily and look back on this moment and say “WE DID THAT” and no one could ever take that away from us. Chase your dreams and don’t let anyone else tell you its not possible. Prove them wrong.

Mcdonalds, ACP Major: ACP winning Legends Cup would mean a lot to me, I’d get to see a major ACP win firsthand and celebrate with people I not only love to be around, but have so much pride in. It also makes me happy to see all the hard work that’s been put into the army pay off!! Every win we bring home is totally deserved

It seems like winning the Legends Cup would mean a lot to all the members of the army, both new and old. With that said, we have a tough battle against the Templars. They are hungry to try and win the Legends Cup in back-to-back years. Despite this, we must go out there and win!
