BLIZZARD, Shamrock Bulletin Headquarters – Following our Patreon push last month to raise funds for the Army of CP website, we’re giving back to our amazing Donators in this new column series. It’s time to get down and deep with Shane for the first Donator Discussion.
Hey Shane! Could you please introduce yourself to our readers – who you are, your rank, and maybe a fun fact about you that not many people know!
My name is Shane, I’m a General from ACP. and I also make pizza at Dominos as my job! 😀
Congratulations on being the first interviewee of the Donator Discussions column, and thank you for donating! Why did you decide to support the ACP in this way, and what does the ACP mean to you?
Well I know ACP staff team be full of broke people which is fine, and thats why the Patreon was created right? That way, some troops like me can donate money towards the server and help keep things running for the army. That’s one of my reasons I donated , the other reason was to get my cool black role LOL!
Ok so – we want to get your opinion on some of the current ACP and community trending topics. What do you make of the ACPs Operation: WRFT and performance in the March Madness tournament?
ACP’s Operaton: WRFT came to a huge success from my perspective. Over the last month, ACP has managed to stay in the top 3 armies, along with average maxes of 40s. With weeks of recruiting, the server contains 9,800 members after the operation was complete. ACP were able to bring back many old troops to our team, and some that were retired from other armies. Without their help I don’t think this operation would’ve came much to a success like it has.
Our performance in the March Madness tournament was astonishing despite the finals results, we may have had our problems with CPAHQ and still do, but at least they acknowledge our win towards RPF, which ideally that was our goal for ACP. To crush the top dogs of the community, and that’s what we did. The haters can say anything they want, but we all know what army is strongest in the end. Green Together, Family Forever.
Overall I’m very proud for what our army has done over the last month, no we didnt win any tournament, but we did our best and we aren’t sore losers, to me thats a win. The operation is never over either, ACP will ALWAYS rise from this.
I know you’ve formed a lot of close friendships in the ACP, but if you could pick out one – which would it be and why?
This is definitely a hard question as I’m friends with a lot of people here, but i’d say my friendship I formed with Chekdar stands out a lot. I’ve always needed some motivation as my time being a moderator, and I know the other moderators sometimes need it as well. With Chek, I’m always willing to help motivate him to recruit and work hard, and hes willing to always encourage me to do the same with him. If I ever have any issues and I need someone to talk to, I know Chek is willing to take his time to chat with me. And ofc, I would do the same for him. He’s really funny and cool to talk with when you get to know him a little more. And i’m really glad i got to become friends with him!
That’s amazing to hear! Things in the army community are so rapidly changing, but where do you see yourself in 6 months time?
This is an easy one, It’d either be the same as it is now, being here as a General in ACP, maybe Field Marshal by the time depending on how everything goes, but if its not that, retirement land would be the only other solution, and that’s only if something IRL comes to plan unexpectedly. As of right now, I hope retirement land doesn’t come anytime soon. XD
I hope it doesn’t too! What would you say the biggest in-real-life lesson ACP and the army community has taught you?
Overall I think both ACP and the army community has taught me to never listen to what anyone has to say negatively about you, no matter what whether its true or not. You only need to focus on yourself and what you’re doing that’s going to prove them otherwise. Feedback is nice, but you only use feedback to make yourself stronger and better than before. Always prove them wrong.
Do you have any regrets in ACP or the army community? If you could go back in time – would you change them?
I feel like I have many regrets all the times especially with my past haha , just like anyone else really. However, there’s just one sort of regret that stands out to me during my moderator days. As a mod, I’ve kind of gotten myself in some arguments with troops before, but as I look back at it now, I feel like the stuff I would get upset about was really unnecessary. I feel like that’s one of my biggest flaws back then, during my whole time in this army community as well. Good thing I’ve managed to start fixing that!
Thanks so much for speaking with me Shane, and again for donating!
Thank you very much Shane for speaking with the Shamrock Bulletin team, it was so interesting to pick your brains on the various discussion points. Join us in a fortnight when we sit down with the next of our Donators.
