Happy Holidays, ACP! It is the time of year again where it’s morally acceptable to pull evil pranks on your friends… or just put a box on your head and be a silly little guy. You can do exactly that in NewCP at the April Fools Party 2026! Keep on reading the guide to know where to get the free item, how to complete the Rookie’s quests, which stamps and other items are available, and more!
New Club Penguin‘s April Fools Party is going on until April 15th! There are also three quests from the Rookie that will release one at a time over the next few days, so check in with this post again to stay updated.

NewCP April Fools Party 2026 Table of Contents
NewCP April Fools Party Free Item
Box Hat
You can find this party’s free item in the Cream Soda Dimension, located inside the Box Dimension. You can get to the Box Dimension from various places, such as the chest of crabs at the Beach, the door on the Casa Fiesta at the Ski Village, or through a box portal in an igloo.
You must complete the Party Puzzle there to reach the destination on the top right, which requires going in and out of the barrels until you come out of the correct barrel. You’ll also achieve the Party Puzzle stamp here!
Fortunately, this is really easy if you go in these five barrels in this order:
At your destination, stand on the pressure plate to make the cage rise, and your free item will be freed for you to collect! The item is a Box Hat that you can equip on your penguin’s head.
Rookie’s Quests
Quest 1: Reversed Messages
When you first logged in, Rookie greeted you with some confusing messages where all messages were being reversed because of a mistake Rookie made. You can then head to the Snow Forts at any time after this to help Rookie fix his reverse message mistake.
The first thing you need to do is type in the chat bar “!id” to retrieve your penguin’s number ID if you don’t already know it. For example, my penguin’s ID is 3461. Take a screenshot of your own ID or write it down, as you’ll need it for the next part!
Secondly, you need to type “!deloof ton si [backwards ID]” with your number in reverse (this is “[backwards ID] is not fooled!” backwards, because Rookie’s system reads everything in reverse too). Again for example, I would type “!deloof ton si 1643” as 3261 is my penguin’s number ID reversed.

Rookie’s Chaos Controls
After completing the respective quest, you can click on the Rookie icon in the top right of the user interface to access the Rookie’s Chaos Controls board, where you can toggle on or off some fun abilities.
NewCP April Fools Party Box Shop Catalog
You can find this April Fools Party‘s catalog located in different dimensions connected from the Box Dimension, including the Space Dimension, Candy Dimension, and Desert Dimension. It can also be found at the MERCH booth in the Ski Village.
Note: The Box Store Catalog currently isn’t working in the Desert Dimension

Be in the same room as Rookie
Note: The Explorer and Dimension Jumper stamps aren’t available until the Slime Arena is unlocked (on April 3rd)
Mascots
NewCP‘s mascot visiting for this party is… drumrolls… Rookie! Who saw that coming? Rookie will be making unscheduled visits throughout the April Fools event, so be sure to join the ACP Discord for our awesome Mascot Tracker channel that will notify you when a mascot comes online and where on the island you can meet them.
When you meet Rookie, you will achieve the Rookie stamp (see available stamps) and be able to click on him and claim a special giveaway background. We’ll update this section of the post once his giveaway background has been discovered!
