Army of Club Penguin

Like the title?  I couldn’t think of anything better…

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE NON-SERIOUS TITLE.  READ THE WHOLE POST!  IT’S ACTUALLY IMPORTANT!!!

Well, onto the point.  I’m making this post for two reasons.  One, I think we need a new post that isn’t NG related…

Now, the second and BIGGEST reason: Brett Favre came out of retirement!  Well actually, that’s not THAT big of a surprise, and that’s not REALLY why I’m writing this post.

It would seem that both the Dark Warriors and the Fire Warriors have scheduled stuff for this weekend, EVEN THOUGH I scheduled PB’s with them for this weekend (so inconsiderate!).  SOOO THE DOBBY was forced to cook-up something else for this weekend.

Now, we’re having a PB.  No doubt ’bout that.  But the PB has been CHANGED (dun dun dun!).

We’re going back to a classic Division Free-For-All Practice Battle.  So, here’s the info:

When: Saturday (you should all know what date Saturday is…), at 11:00 PST

Where: Server: Snow Fort, Room: Delta starts at the Cove, Alpha starts at the Beach, and Echo starts at the Mine (above ground, not under)

What: A Practice Battle (duh)

Info:  Well, make sure you know what Division you’re in and who the leaders of the Division are.  IF YOU ARE NOT IN A DIVISION, MAKE SURE TO SIGN-UP FOR ONE.  The PB will only last 30 minutes, and will be judged by the 3ic and up (you guys can meet on a chat after the battle and discuss who won, if you want).

One last note on this: Actually use tactics.  I don’t want to see joke charge, after joke charge, after joke charge.  That’s boring.  Make a line, make a triangle, make a hexagon for all I care!  Just NO CHARGES.  AT ALL.  How’s that for a twist?

Disclaimer: These lists do not reflect the opinions of ACP, they were created solely by myself. This first list takes into account battle attendence, chat attendence, and site views. I hope for this to be used as motivation if you think I ranked you low, or as encouragement for working hard if you are listed towards the top.

The rating after the army shows how the army’s positioning has changed from the last one (August 10th). I will update these every week, so we will hopefully get a better sense of how each army is doing. Feel free to post these on your site, but make sure you give me credit.

Analysis:

This week was not extremely exciting since most of the armies didn’t move anywhere in the list.  The biggest change was ACP regaining the top spot from the Nachos after a big week viewer-wise.  The Nachos were dropped to second after RPF’s views were removed from their total, and the Nachos’ new viewer averages were actually below what I expected.  In addition, ACP chat regularly has more people online than Nacho chat, and recently, IW chat has even had more people on chat than the Nachos.  Not to mention IW had 35 soldiers at their latest battle, so we could see a new face at number two in the coming weeks.  DW and BP also switched places after DW’s massive victory over IMAF (they had 20+ at times) forced me to put them ahead of BP’s 15 soldier victory over ST a week ago.  UMA moved up from 11th last week to 9th this week after they ranged between 5-9 soldiers during a poorly organized battle with RPF (who remained in 10th after only having about 4-7 during the battle).  IMAF fell out of the list after getting destroyed by DW (even with ST’s help), having only about 5 soldiers at the battle.

This Week’s Featured Army:

DW (Dark Warriors)

I can happily say that you have proved me wrong after I gave you some lower rankings a few weeks back.  You have steadily improved and are close to your initial size when you shocked us all just before the invasion of Tundra over a month ago.  DW’s last battle attendence against IMAF and ST was impressive.  They generated 15-20 soldiers throughout the battle while defeating both IMAF (#9) and ST (#8) simultaneously last week, size that rivals them with FW.  Their hits are still fairly low compared to other armies of their size, but their success on the battlefield can be attributed to many loyal and active soldiers and solid tactics.  The color black does give them a recruiting edge over armies of most other colors.  Hopefully you will be happier with me now that I have ranked you 5th (but don’t get me wrong, you deserved it).

Next is the ratings based purely on viewership of your site.

Analysis:

RPF added a new widget so that it contained only their own views, which in turn made the Nachos counter no longer count the additional views from the RPF site.  With both the Nachos and RPF’s counters being accurate, we can now see that ACP has a clear lead in views over the Nachos site, and the RPF site is now the 5th most viewed, moving them 3 spots up the list.  IW had another good week, and they regained their spot as the 3rd most viewed site.  WW, ST, and UMA all had good weeks, increasing their average viewership, and IMAF expectedly fell after the shockingly high numbers they posted last week.  DW also increased, as many of the lower-numbered sites changed positions in the list.  BP now has their own widget and were added to the list with surprisingly low numbers for an army of their size, meaning most of their size is due to fiercely loyal soldiers and not just sheer numbers.

This Week’s Most Improved Army:

RPF (Rebel Penguin Federation)

RPF finally got their own widget separate from the joint one they held with the Nachos previously, and their numbers were remarkably high for their current size.  Although they are growing, they still aren’t as large as some of the armies below them on the list.  This is probably due to a large amount of inactive soldiers, however adding more battles and practices should get more activity going.  The good news for now, your site is receiving a lot of hits, meaning you have an easier task in recruiting than do other armies who’s sites don’t receive as much viewer traffic.

How to Get Recognized:

• Make sure you get on Club Penguin frequently, and take a lot of pics
• Post the best ones on your site so people appreciate your size
• Get a Whos.Among.Us widget for your site so you and others can keep track of how many viewers your site gets at any one time, or over a period of time
• Make a habit of entering your army in tournaments or attending battles as an ally so other major armies get used to seeing you around Club Penguin

I would like to announce that I will be hosting a meeting of army legends to discuss what we can do to make armies more fun! It’ll be called the Elder Council. The date will be announced later. It will be held on a chat created specifically for the meeting. To attend the meeting, you must have joined your first CP army no later than February 2008. I know that leaves out a lot of great soldiers, but this is for the EXTREMELY experienced ones out there. Stay tuned for more info. Rock on!

The Dobby has returned!  And guess what?  I have good news: We’re gonna have a PB!

Okay, I lied.  We’re having TWO.  But, sadly, everyone will only participate in one.

So, here’s what I got so far.  Expect another post later with the full details, but for now, enjoy the rough draft:

So, since Echo won our last inter-division PB, they get to be the ones who face a whole army alone.  So who is the lucky army that gets to face them?  None other than the Dark Warriors!

After a quick visit to their chat, I got the info.  Here it is:

When: Friday, August 21st, at 4:00 PST (I don’t know the other times.  Sorry, The Dobby isn’t perfect).

Where: Server: Slushy, Room: We didn’t say one, so how about we mix it up and say the Cove?

What: A Practice Battle (duh)

Description: Well, pretty straight forward.  Echo vs. DW.  Make sure that you go if you can and you’re in Echo!

Now, for all of you in Delta and Alpha that are thinking, “How come Echo gets to have all the fun?”, fear not, because I am prepared.

Alpha and Delta will be facing Da’ Fire Warriors next weekend.  Here’s the info that I have:

Now, I just want to say something quickly.  At Delta’s last PB against the ST, there was some controversy over who won.  Most armies seem to think ST won, however, it was said on this site that we won.  I want whoever makes the post about these PB’s to be completely honest when saying who they think won.  I don’t want anyone to take this offensively, I just don’t want what happened last time to happen again.

hey guys, its me ironkid2894. Well im kinda happy right now because its my first post on the site ever :D. I will be posting every week with a new thing on the site called ACP Real News, where i post about politics, events, economics etc. so here is the first ACPRN post!

in Politics, the Obama administration has been holding many meetings and debates across the country about the presidents health care reform plan. Many protests have been held through out the country over the issue. Some popular videos on Youtube about outbursts and protests is the Tom Hawkin town hall meeting, where a citizen accuses the presidents plan for not supporting Native American reservations. Now i couldnt really post that video becuase most of the time it has an inappropriate picture of obama looking like the joker and them calling him a full out socialist. So instead ill post a protest in ekhart country, Indiana that happened recently.

in History, the 40th anniversery of the the Woodstock event happened this week. For any of u who dont know what woodstock is, it was this big hippy fest in 1969 that was hugely popular, with this huge concert, with some pretty famous people,  like Willy Nelson (basically the ultimate hippie) so i have some videos of the event off of youtube. Also if u want to learn how it all really happened the movie, Taking Woodstock, is coming out soon (but u will need a parent because it is rated R.)

The leaders of the Orange Rebel army have requested we cancel our invasion of their servers. In return they have cancelled their invasion of Breeze for sometime in the future. I agreed. ACP does not encourage the destruction of new , building armies in CP. But we will defend ourselves and destroy when challenged or provoked. This time the leaders were very polite and honest. They are just getting up to speed and are very busy. So we are idle for a bit. I think Tylo and KT are working on setting up some practice battles soon.

This Bill was passed unanimously.

It read the following;

• No type of punishment shall be administered for criticism, unless the criticism includes offensive language or sexist, racist, or ethnicist content or is a spam message.
• The “no being ’smart’ to the mods” rule will be removed from the chat rules. However, if this “smartness” is displayed arbitrarily to just infuriate the mod, this falls under the catagory of spam and will be punished as such.
• This bill applies to both owners and mods.
• Any violations of this bill can be reported to an owner (unless an owner committed the violation, in which case they shall be reported to a main owner, or a main owner committed this violation, in which case the senate will decide on their punishment through a vote) for punishment to be administered.
