BLIZZARD, Shamrock Bulletin Headquarters – Welcome to the newest edition of the Private Chats column! After the success of last week’s posting, we’ll be interviewing another member ranking soldier to find out more about their hobbies, interests, and most importantly: their time in the ACP!
This week, we’ll be talking to Warprince, a veteran of the CP army community, but a relative newcomer to the Army of Club Penguin. Here’s what he had to say when we sat down with him:
Tell us a little bit about yourself, your time with ACP, and your rank!
I presently go by the moniker of Warprince, although I’ve had a few prominent others before in the history of my association with CPA. My first army was LT, and I later went on to lead the Golds and a couple of other S/M armies.
It is interesting that ACP was one of the armies I never really found myself in association with, partly due to it being perhaps the most mainstream army at the time.
I always preferred to lend my aid to armies you could class as underdogs.
Right now, I haven’t officially joined the ACP, although I plan to in the future. That said, the ACP community has not failed to influence me. I have people here who I would consider friends, which is also why I help out whenever possible.
You use a lot of words, do you have any favourites?
A question perfectly tailored for someone me, I see. If I were to cherry pick a few terms I endear, they would probably be Hullabaloo (a word I have a history with), Intransigent (one of my foremost traits), and Dolce Far Niente (Italian term referring to the idea of finding peace in idleness).
I also find the word Comeuppance exceedingly hilarious when used in everyday conversation.
What is your favourite thing to learn about or research?
In truth, I do not have a specific favourite when it comes to this. The world and the ubiquity of phenomena it houses are just as interesting as they are diverse. I like dabbling in the history of Expressionism just as much as I like inspecting humanly endeavours into outer space. Other times, I’m your average weeb, or football fanatic.
I see you’ve mentioned Weeb, any anime you’re into?
Like so many, Death Note was my introduction to anime. I find Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure quite ingenious, despite its obvious plotholes (which perhaps add a layer of callous hilarity to it). Especially the Engrish. I also have a few I’ve loved since I was a child, such as the lesser known football anime, Inazuma Eleven.
Of all the directions you could have taken, you chose to veer towards anime, I’m not an intense weeb. I mentioned the term because it is the popular phrase used to describe anime watchers.
And so concludes another look into the under-appreciated lives of the amazing ACP soldiers! Remember, these members are our real ground force, infantry, and the backbone of our army. Without them, our events would be nothing more than moderators screaming “EL EL GO NOW” into the wind!
