Road From Recruit: Mchappy

BLIZZARD, Shamrock Bulletin Headquarters – Welcome back to the latest edition of Road From Recruit, written by Corps General Caramel. Today’s edition will be featuring none other than Mchappy! What was his army journey like?

Mchappy first joined the army community in spring of 2008. After taking a brief break from armies, Mchappy returned after the summer as a part of the Army of CP. During the following years, Mchappy stayed in the army and climbed up the ranks.

To find out more regarding Mchappy’s experience within the Army of CP, I reached out to him for an exclusive interview.

How did you find the army community?

I joined armies first in spring 2008 after being friends with Soccerpr and Wsd, they recruited me to FGR. It was a medium army that was extremely welcoming. As summer approached though I sort of forgot about things, but when I came back to armies, I found ACP. From there I stayed and ranked up over the years, here I am today. That’s my brief joining experience.

Why did you decide to stay in ACP?

ACP was a lot, lot larger than FGR was so it afforded me the opportunity to meet more strangers who then turned out to be friends. It was a more active, welcoming environment where people were willing to teach a new guy like me what’s up. Also, ACP rogues were constantly on Mammoth battling other rogues in the Snow Forts. I’d come home from school, log on to Mammoth, and just sit at the Snow Forts chatting while toggling between Xat and the website comment section.

Overall, how would you describe your experience in ACP?

I’ve been here since 2008 – that alone should speak volumes of ACP’s environment. My experience has been one filled with ups and downs but I’ve made some long lasting friendships throughout this whole thing. I’m very thankful for ACP. I couldn’t imagine what my life would be like if I hadn’t ever joined so I wanted to bring it back for this new gen to experience that sort of euphoria.

Do you have anything else to add?

Keep those snowballs coming! ACP Forever!

It seems that Mchappy has had a lot of experience within the army community, joining as early as 2008. Thanks for sticking around in the Army of CP throughout all those years! Moving forward, whose army beginnings will we explore next week?
