BLIZZARD, Shamrock Bulletin Headquarters – Welcome to the first edition of the newest Friday column, Road From Recruit, written by Major General Caramel! Today’s post will be featuring none other than General Kailey. How was Kailey first recruited into the Army of CP?

Kailey first joined the Army of CP with no knowledge of armies, rising to the rank of moderator only a month later. After working her way up the rankings bit by bit, Kailey joined the Higher Command in April of 2019. What chain of events led to her activity within the army?

To find out more, I reached out to Kailey for a quick interview to explore how she was first recruited into the army.

How did you originally find the Army of CP discord server?

I found ACP through CPR. I’m a CPR recruit who was recruited by Kailey310. I was just casually playing the game one day and came across a bunch of green penguins in the plaza and wondered what was going on. Kailey replied and said to “google thearmyofcp” which I did and later joined and have been here ever since.

What were your initial thoughts when you first joined the Army of CP?

Confusion, literal confusion. I had no idea what was going on, what an army was. I decided to hang out in chat and just started communicating with everyone. Mchappy was really helpful during this time along with Kailey.

When did you first start becoming active within the army and why?

I was active right when I joined LOL
I kinda was a CPR troll (banned 8 times not a cpr potw) and new to discord as well so my original plan was to basically be a troll and get banned from the server but everyone was so nice so I didn’t. I just talked to people and then started attending events regularly. I was pretty much still a noob and didn’t know anything about other armies, acp history and all that jazz. I do know a bit now but I’m still a noob.

Do you have anything else to add?

When everyone first joins armies they’re always confused. They get help and grow. I’ve seen many people who are staff now as privates and it’s amazing to see how individuals grow throughout a period. I’m glad ACP was the first army I joined and it most definitely will be the last army I’m in

Everyone found their own way into the Army of CP discord server, whether it be recruitment, personal interest, or other reasons. Although Kailey first joined the Army of CP as a troll, she has become an extremely important and kind member of the Higher Command today, and we’re all glad to have her as a part of the Army of CP.
