“Dark Times Are Always Followed By Great Success”

How many times have you heard this saying the time you have been in ACP?

Do you know if it is in fact a factual or nonfactual statement?

Well let me give everyone a bit of insight then.

It is.

In all our time in ACP, how many of us have heard the quote “Dark Times Are Always Followed By Great Success” before? Do you believe that this is a true statement? If so, how do you think the events that unfold in a series of events are determined, and who determines them? All these questions have answers, as I will show to you all.

First, let’s look at the quote directly. What is a good example of “dark times”? I would say the Fall Drop is a pretty good one. After all, that period is responsible for the massive drop in activity this community becomes plagued with every single year. But it’s a part of being in this community, so we have to roll with the punches and keep fighting. Now let’s look at the rest of the quote. “…are always followed by great success” seems pretty uplifting, no doubt. Basically, after dark times loom and the darkness scatters, there is a period of great success. The fact of the matter is that this second half of the quote happens on one condition. That condition is that you need to survive the dark time, and by the time the darkness scatters, you should be ready to get back in the game and make your way up the ladder.

This seems like a great example of what happens to some armies in this community, and what others fall short of as well. This quote also seems to be a great example of how many people decide to handle their own personal life. Did you see that word? Decide. Yes, there is a decision involved at the heart of this quote. Actually, it is the heart of the quote. Obviously an inanimate thing(maybe someones situation) cannot instantaneously “rise” without someone’s decision to do that. The point is, everyone is in control of the events that unfold in this quote being discussed.

Maybe you saw that from the beginning, or maybe you didn’t. If you did, great job. If you didn’t, I’m glad I wrote this quick post. But yes, ACP itself(not including people) cannot rise without people making the decision to rise it, of which can only be done as a team. This also applies to one’s unique personal life situation in the same way. If you don’t decide to “rise,” then what do you expect to happen? Your situation will rise for you?

Nope. That’s not how it works at all. Maybe there are complications in life, some of which do not allow you a decision at all, so take advantage of the decision and run with it in the right direction. Everyone is capable and can rise. Whether it may be their studies, a life situation, or even ACP. We are all in control of our dark times, how we handle those periods, and how we decide if we will make the effort to indeed rise from them when the time comes.
