A round of applause for everyone for getting through the month.  A few got demotions, and I’m sorry about that, but I just want our top trusted soldiers to be as active as possible.  Next month I hope we have even more soldiers on the ranks page as we (hopefully) continue to rise.

I’ve been getting a few complains here and there about the chat rules.  I really wanted to go over this considering that we have a lot of new moderators who seem to not being following the chat rules at all.  The rules will always apply to all.

Cyber-bullying

This has got to be one of the biggest, most controversial topics when it comes to hanging out on the chat.  It comes down to being nice to others and respecting them.  We are one army, we all work together.  Think down the road where you might be leader of this army one day, do you really want to have so many enemies because you said something rude to them before?

“I was in ACP chat today and I must admit, nothing has changed yet. The same old nasty attitudes in there of people thinking they are above others and treating people as if they did not matter.”

The above quote is by Snaily5, a retired Army of Club Penguin third in command, who had originally quit due to the constant abusive behavior on chat.  I, nor any owner, will tolerate these kinds of behaviors that push out our own troops.  There is no reason to be cruel or mean to each other, just none.  We’re all on CP throwing snowballs at each other: in other words, we’re nerds. 😆

Cussing

Now on occasion I allow swear words, if they’re in an okay context.  If you’re straight up swearing on chat, that is when we begin to have an issue.  It has never been highly accepted in the Army of Club Penguin.  Words like “damn” are okay, but anything worse than that is an automatic kick and possible ban.  If an owner ever catches you swearing, know that they have a right to unmod you on the spot.  Cursing is allowed in private chats, unless it goes against the anti-bullying rule.

I believe that only those two are the ones that hold a problem on chat.  Seeing as the situation has been addressed officially, on the site and all, I want to see an improvement on chat.  More people on chat, more rules being followed, a more friendly, welcoming environment.  That is what the ACP set out to accomplish in the first place.
