Hey ACP,
As you know we have the current domain of armyofcp.com and custom CSS, but yesterday I received a notice that our domain and CSS was about to expire in approximately one month. As you can see from the title, this post is mainly a technical kind of post with information about what these things can mean for ACP, you don’t have to read it if you don’t want to.
Domain and CSS, what are they?
- Domain – A domain makes a site easier to get too, with a shorter link. It also increases our place on the google rank pages, it also looks more professional and attracts soldiers. 😛 Most of the armies in the CPAC top 10 have domains too, and it’s a great positive to have on our side.
- Custom CSS – A custom CSS lets you design the website to how you like, as long as it is within the theme idea. it makes our site look a lot more attractive, and again, more professional. It also could be the deciding factor for a soldier who doesn’t know who to join, they choose the best-looking, and my charms alone can’t decide that for us.
Having a domain and a custom CSS can have a lot of bonuses for a CP army, as well as getting more noticed and more recruits. Following all of these bonuses, I decided to renew it for $40, meaning it will now run out on April 12th, 2013. Sorry for such the short post today, but it was more of an information one than a detailed lengthy one.

Needing pretty pictures to get a troop to join? Pathetic. I don’t care if we have a CSS and domain or not. We didn’t have that when I first joined.
Glad to know you are on top of things, Flipper. I don’t care for a CSS, but a domain is something that s very useful.

Personally, if a soldier joins ACP because they have the best graphics, I don’t want that soldier…. also, I don’t really like domains. Maybe it’s the nostalgia of the wordpress links. What even is ACP’s wordpress again? acparmyofclubpenguin.wordpress.com ?
