To Fellow soldiers and friends,
Today I write to you about an unfortunate thing that has occurred and is something I did not want to happen. I, as of now am retiring from ACP and shall probably not return. I have been thinking about this for some time now and have been wondering what is the best option that I have to choose from and now my answer is clear, I must go. ACP has been ever so wonderful from the moment that I made a comment on the join page to this moment now that I am leaving. ACP has taught me a lot, and one of those things is you can’t trust no one. Not even if you think someone who you met online is a real good friend. This is just simply because you don’t know who they are, you don’t know what they act like, and besides this you don’t even know what they look like. To conclude on this section of this post I would like to leave it with a poem.
What Is A Friend? |
by Kit McCallum |
A friend is someone you hold dear: A friend is someone you can always rely on: A friend is someone you can feel comfortable with: A friend is someone you can trust: A friend is someone who is not judgmental: A friend is someone who can keep you grounded: A friend is someone who shares unconditionally: A friend is someone you choose wisely, A friend…. is what you are to me. |
Now on to my life since I joined ACP.
I Joined Acp on the 1st January 2010 and I joined Club Penguin way before that. That next month I joined ACPTR with Snowball pink in command (I think). At the same time after getting to know so many wonderful people it made me think maybe I should make an army, and that is exactly what I did. I made Sailors of Cp which went quite well for a while as I am sure my troops will tell you. But I wanted more than just a few people so I met someone called Term (egger). We made CPSFT (Club Penguin Special Force Team). I had never been so happy with what I had achieved; words could not describe how I felt. Although after a while we got to a point when we were trying to recruit but no one was joining so we merged into NMA (Non Member Army) and we were doing so well that we even got to #4 (I think) in the top ten medium armies. However this did not last for long as NMA fell and so we all (The Owners) decided to leave and shut down NMA, it was a sad time and I will never forget it.
Meanwhile my life in ACP had up’s and down’s there were some points where I could not be bothered to come to events but there was sometimes when I always came to events and that is how I got promoted and sometimes even double promoted. When the chance came at 3ic elections in January 2012, I really wanted the opportunity… but well so did everyone else. In the end it came down to me, Carter and Fox and unfortunately I lost but I got 12 votes overall so that was ok. Obviously I was not happy as I thought I would have been a better candidate as I had 6 months more experience in ACP and learning about everyone and everything in the Army Of CP. Later that year In February the chance arose once more to become 3ic but unfortunately once again I was unable to get 3ic. Although I was happy for Funks to become 3ic I myself was upset and annoyed especially after seeing this post back in April http://armyofcp.com/2011/04/29/april-2011-promotions/ this post shows that at the time I was General (5ic), EkPenguin and Funks were Lt. General (7ic) and Carter was Colonel (10ic). So somehow in the space of 10 months they all managed to overtake me which I think is totally unfair but hey that’s life all over isn’t it complete and utterly unfair. Although people where even saying things such as “Declan has done so much to earn it, and he keeps getting let down. He is been in his same spot for I don’t even know how long. *sigh* Declan, better luck next time.” It has still got me nowhere.
Now back to ACPTR, during my time there I did not care what time an event was I got on the computer and went to the event because that is how dedicated I was. Even if all this meant I had to get up at midnight I would still do it just to be an A+ Graduate and be proud to say that. After this I struggled to get my way through the ACP ranks with setting myself targets I wanted to achieve for example when I was a member my target was getting above mod line and after that my target was getting division general and now I have reached that, so I only feel if I was to go any further up then I would not be able to fulfil my duties as good as other people. I wish the next ACPTR Leader the best of luck and believe me when I say… it is not easy, also as I made the site I will always keep an eye on it to make sure everything is running smoothly. If you want I can give you the password and email address that is used for it.
Unfortunately as many of you will know by now my penguin (12declan12) was banned; my penguin had many things on there that I paid for including the following:
CP memberships totalling up to over £80
Many card jitsu cards with online codes totalling up to over £10
A Cp plush toy with coin code totalling up to £6-8
A Cp book with code to unlock book totalling up to £8-10
X2 CP DS games both with codes totalling up to £50
It was mainly all the codes that made my penguin what it was and that it was there since Cp’s second anniversary/round about Halloween. It was a shame that it did get banned because I was thinking of selling it. One day I’ll look back on spending all this money on game and will probably think I really could have done with that money round about now XD.
Now we come to the tricky part and that is choosing a person who I think will be a good ACPTR Leader and to be honest neither of the 2 ACPTR Co-Leaders are ready for that, as for one thing that I know for sure is that one of them is not very active and the other only just joined with the role of Co-Leader. They might be good troops with a lot of knowledge in ACP but when it comes to ACPTR it seems like you have to be “a master”. I would like to talk to ken or flip or both of you if you don’t mind about this and I have already told flip who I would like to take my place as General.
Now we come to my goodbyes, I’m sorry if I missed anyone.
Flipper7706: You’re a great ACP Leader, probably one of the best we have ever had in this army and it has been an honour serving under you.
Kenneth1000: You and flip are a great team together, at first I was opposed to having 2 Leaders but everything has worked out rather good, Although I don’t see you that much as you are USA and I am UK it has been great to serve under you.
Slider568: You are a great friend to me, thank you for the help in ACPTR. It’s a shame you could not stay active enough.

Iasgae: You are one of my favourite retired leaders and a nice person to get along with
Alex: You were a person who I could come to talk to about anything and I thank you for doing those buttons for me for ACPTR , you’re a good GFX maker, don’t give up, tell people about your site!
Interwebdude: I’m proud of you for getting an A+ keep up the good work
Rocky: What you showed in ACPTR shows that you have the potential to go far in this army.
Carter: Congrats on 3ic I hope you do well.

Tes: Please do not make me regret hiring you, do me proud
Icey Cold 27/Mchappy: Well what can I say you are a great friend a deservable person of the rank 2ic, a person who you can talk to about anything and someone who is always there to help.
Paddy: I will still be on TFM whenever you want to play I will probably be there.
These next people are old friends of mine and probably won’t read this but oh well
xeboxe1: You were in my drill team when I was in ACPTR, good friend
Joeyred56: I still remember you from ACPTR, shame you left though
Robert: It’s a shame NMA fell L
Bepboy: If you need me again then you know my email
Wetcoldpeng: CPSFT, Remember those days when me, you, Term, Halloween were all on cp having so much fun, those are memories I will remember and cherish forever and ever.
Halloween: I remember you from sailors of cp, I can’t remember if it was you or Wetcoldpeng that joined first but I was delighted to have you both
Morrison: Since you retired I have not had the chance to even speak to you 🙁 Where are you!
Term: We Lead CPSFT and I could not have asked for a better Leader to work alongside me, Thank You.
Snowballpink: Thank you for teaching me, I was so sad when you announced you were leaving that at first I refused to believe it, I remember staying up till midnight to come to your events, just so I could be taught by you 😉
Jack: When you were active you were a good leader for ACPTR
Omega39: without you there would be no ACPTR and I thank you for creating it. Good job, you shall forever be remembered in ACP and ACPTR for what you have done for us all.
Also I would like to thank all of those people who held competitions, without you I don’t think many of us would even have so much as a day. I have also met some people along the way who I hated but I shall refrain from mentioning them.
Now before I go the poem that is at the top I was thinking about taking the last line out, “a friend is what you are to me” but then I thought well wait a minute If people read it then I will know who my friends are so if you read all this then you must be a friend of mine.
Reasons why I am retiring:
First is simply my age, I am 14 now and people at this age should not be playing cp anymore, ACP is the only reason why I am still playing CP otherwise I would have left ages ago. I am also doing my GCSE’s at school and what I do at school now will determine what I grow up to be in the future, I want to achieve the best I can but at the same time I cannot be on games or messing about. Those of you who are in ACP and getting close to my age you will start to realise that you will change because no one is going to want idiots in their class if all they do is mess around.
Second is all of the issues we are facing in CP armies, first is hacking and I ask all of you out there…. Why? Why do you have to disappoint people? Why do you choose to do it? Are you aware of the consequences?
Thirdly is Scammers, Xat for many people is a place to scam and get powers, days, xats, CP coin codes and sometimes even penguins. Again why do you choose to do this? ACP listen to what I have to say now, NO ONE CAN DOUBLE POWERS, ANYONE WHO ASKS’ “YOU WANNA BUY A COIN CODE” I GUARANTEE THEY WILL SAY “OK WELL YOU GO FIRST AND GIVE ME THE XATS AND THEN ILL GIVE YOU THE CODE”. SAY TO THEM “YOU GO FIRST” AND ONE THING MOST OF THEM SAY IS “NO LAST TIME I DONE THIS I LOST MY TOY CODE OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.” IF THIS HAPPENS TO YOU JUST IGNORE THEM OR REPORT THEM.
My final requests are:
- I stay mod on ACP chat, I know that you only allow mod if you have achieved the rank of owner but please because now I have served ACP exactly 2 Years, 3 Months, 1 Weeks and 5 day of service and came too many events… surely I deserve at least mod. I will be on most of the time and might even come on CP every now and then to help you at major battles.
- I would like to have a meeting discussing the issues with ACPTR (Meeting will be about New Leader, Passwords and a few other things)
- I get put on the legends page, whether it’s for restoring ACPTR or if it’s for my 2+ years of service I have done for this army
These are my wishes, only 3 of them, please can I have them. To those of you who want to get in contact with me then ask me on chat for my email or you can message me on Facebook.

Now at this point most people would put a retirement song but instead I am going to put some funny video links.

Well it’s been a long run but for me it’s finally over, I have achieved what I wanted, my duty has been fulfilled.
Farewell ACP and good luck, I will never forget the great times I have had in this army, you all can do well if you believe.
For the last time, this is 12Declan12 signing out, ACPTR Leader, ACP General
