12/31/2010: One Year!

Hai dere, ACP!

Did you remember the day?  Do you remember this day?  This great day of  our own army history and pratically army history in general.  ACP was entered in CPAC‘s “End of the Year” tournament and nontheless did we win; we won with great power.  Not only was it a great battle that could be in comparission to Boomer, but it was the biggest attendence to a tournament battle ever.  It was one year ago, today, that the ACP made history and our pride was definetly server wide.  If you were there you would know what I’m talking about, the epicocity of the battle, the pride and cheers of many ACP soldiers.  It was hands down a great day for ACP and should be remembered.  It should be remembered because it was a time of when ACP was on question– who would become the leader, fights on chat, owners threatening to retire.  Though once the battle was over you could feel how closer we had become.

The date of December 31st, 2010 also had a close meaning to me.  It was the day I was given permant leader but also the day I had figured out about my stomach disease, which is a whole ‘nother story entirely on its own!  I was made temporary leader on December 7th, 2010 by Bobcatboy10 who had to leave for a while due to his computer issues.  At this time ACP was already in a war zone where chat would be crazy and filled with fights.  Some private posts I remember during this time were by retired leaders whom were not pleased with ACP‘s actions before November. My main goal as temporary leader was to try to make sur everybody saw the light, so we could have a little more fun.  Right when I was given the title of temporary leader I made sure I didn’t waste it; I got right to scheduling events.  When I was made temporary leader the CPAC “End of the Year” tournament started three days after.  This was to be my first event as temporary leader and I didn’t want to disappoint.  (Note:  I’m going to link some posts that lead up to New Years’ but the pictures were mangled by photoshop).

The first battle of the tournament was against DW.  Our second battle of the tournament was fought against UMA who at that time were easily able to average twenty.  It was a good battle, ACP averaged around forty-five to fiftyish and our maximum of sixty-five.  Oagalthorp decided to pop in on us more and he helped count the number of soldiers which we got to over one hundred which was pretty outrageous at the time.  As the days passed on in the tournament, so did our size.  By our third battle with AR we were doing amazing; it was a battle that was won in -3 minutes.  This event we had many penguins locked out and had maxed around eighty.  Our fifth battle was again Nachos who put up a great fight and a very close battle.  This battle I only lead for the first half while Flipper, our amazing leader and leader of the year (congratulations!), lead for the second half.  The battle was not our best of the tournament battles but it was still a thrilling event.

After our fifth battle we still had quite a bit of break inbetween the semi-finals and the finals against IV.  By this time we were having many “fun” events and worked on different tactics.  It was also a time that Oagalthorp and I were ready to mix up some things after the tournament with war, occupying servers with other armies, and much more.  At this point I had considered Oagalthorp a mentor and a possible close friend because I still had a lot to learn– I still do– and he was there helping me along the way.  Seeing as we were in the finals ACP‘s excessive “chat wars” and hating was put on a hault as everyone was ready to win it all.  ACPTV was remade and ACP also invaded Zipline.  Though one finally obstacle stood in front of ACP‘s way to the finals and that was the ‘Muckrackers’ which was a somewhat minor rebellion that wanted change in Bobcatboy10’s leadership and wanted a better, more stable ACP.  ‘Muckrackers’ quickly left as soon as it came when Noka, I believe he was a second in command at the time, had decided to quit the ‘Muckrackers’.

Now I bring us to “The Day” of December 31st, 2010.  I feel like the whole army community was shocked when ACP had accomplished such sizes, me being shocked aswell, and not only was it an amazing time but a great lesson.  We, the ACP, had to overcome so many obstacles and mend the pieces back together of a broken puzzle.  We fit the puzzles back together just in time for the finals and our hard work finally paid off, after so long.  In this battle it was announced at first that we had two hundred and ten soldiers spread out across the server.  Once you really think about that number it’s quite…unreachable so after a little research it was decided that ACP had an attadance of over one hundred and thirty five to somewhere around one hundred and fifty.  Atfer the battle ACP had a mini-party on CP and chat where we put “12/31/2010” in our chat names for the whole rest of the week.

Every current owner in ACP at that time had a meeting which was to promote me to ACP leader.  Bobcatboy10 agreed due to the strong success ACP had for the CPAC “End of the Year” tournament.  It was declared on ACP site that I was made leader on January 1st, 2011 even though the decision was made a day earlier.  I have made this post to not only announce my one year anniversary after being leader (holy, times goes by so fast) but the hard work and dedication that went on in the background one year ago.  ACP was in a bad spot, not its worst, but a bad one and the soldiers were ready enough for change and it was time we got it.  Rumours flew around that after the tournament ACP hit another great raise which turned into a “Golden Age” for ACP.

I thank everyone who is in ACP or anyone who knows me for everything!  You make me what I am today, for I am inspired by all of you; I truly am.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the memories and events that have happened over the year.  I can’t wait for 2012 were we make even more history together, as a united family.   ACP has become the biggest army militia that Club Penguin has seen and it’s all because of our great soldiers.  Nobody can stress enough how amazing our soldiers’ are and everyone deserves a pat on the back.  All I have left to say is, “we’re ready for you, 2012”.

Let the marching begin.

  3. Can you believe this happend over a year ago?

    • Stew, nor I or anyone could belive that. Boomers numbers where outstanding, and as the same with Icey.
I am convenced that Icey should be leader, and Boomer should return, and be Second Incommand with Icey. Or atleast Surpreme Commander with Icey.
These are the two greatest Leaders I’m talking about. They are ledgends in their own time, and still making empressions.
I remember Icey when I was in ACP back in 2008 or 2009. He was above me still, but he was a great Leader. As the same with boomer.
This day in History is epic, and outsdtandng, as we have witnessed the ACP come out as #1 Yet again. This is a day, most of us, will never forget.

      • The only way we can ever go further is with new leaders. Just as before everyone wanted to witness a 2nd golden age, but instead we gave that up and went on to pave an even better age.
