Army of Club Penguin

This morning we had quite a bit of a small army invasion.

Acp, Uma, Iw, and some nachos were there to help defeat the Ninjas.

We had them retreat a total of 9 times, and then they stoppped firing.

The battle lasted a good half hour and all armies didn’t give up.

Great job Acp and allies! The invasion is going good so far.

Oh and too, Saint and Jojo did a great job of helping me get everyone to listen and lead! So I think they deserve a promo!

Boomer’s Edit: People seem confused about his punishment, so I will make it clearer.  The punishment is being fired from ACP, IP Banned on the site, and Banned Forever on chat.  It is obvious to me based on your comments that you feel this punishment to be appropriate, but please do not use language in your comments, they will be deleted.  Plus, that would not make you any better than him.  Once again, I apologize to UMA and everyone else Superhighfly offended.  This one extreme view does not represent the views of ACP, and Super has been severely punished for his actions.  It will not happen again.

Boomer’s Edit: I agree with you completely Ankita.  Some of your points I tried to make to Super as well.  I told him that money will not buy everything, and when it runs out, what are you left with?  An attitude like that leaves you with nothing…and yeah, ever heard of Karma?

Today Superhighfly nearly started a war by claiming that UMA had “secret plans” and that they were invasing Ascent, an ACP server (the were not invading and it is not our server).  I went on UMA chat to try to calm things down between Super and the UMA leaders.  Instead he called them gay, and when I defended UMA (how could you possibly defend the person saying the insults anyway), he cursed me out in pc for a good 30 minutes.  In the mean time, he said some things which I cannot repeat, however I will show you the things he said that have forced me to kick him out of ACP.

I am showing you all this to defend my decision to remove Superhighfly from ACP, and I urge the Leaders of other armies to do the same.  Behavior like this should not be tolerated in any form.  Cyber bulling is in fact a criminal offense.  A woman Lori Drew was recently convicted of three misdemeanorcharges for a cyber bulling in a landmark case against a 13-year-old.  This 13-year-old girl is now dead because of the disregard this woman showed.  Based on these pictures alone, you will not understand the magnitude of some of the comments.  There were far more pictures that I cannot show.  I will not allow situations like this to occur in my army.  If anyone sees serious cases of this behavior occurring in any army, please contact a leader so it can be dealt with.  It is my hope that these occurrences do not happen again.

Yep, it was unoffically scheduled this afternoon rather prematurely. We were unaware that CPW intended to take Northern Lights, so.. Hero can you talk to me ASAP. ACP as far as I know, isn’t planning to take any other servers that I know of, so I hope you having all the others you wanted, and us having NI be ok. I’ll post pics of the invasion later.

Today, Acp claimed the server Northern Lights as theres.

People had many conflicts on this matter, I guess you could count me as one of them.

I think that we should have major army meetings like we used to. B/c most of the conflict is involved in wars,

and those wars are caused by everyone taking servers and not disscusing about the servers we or anyone else takes over.

So I think we should start having army meetings, so discuss these matters.

IW and ACP will be invading Mammoth on Tuseday, not to claim it, but to remove the small armies trying to claim it.  These armies may be small, but they are growing, and we cannot allow them to claim our neutral server.  So, it is time to take action.  We will be invading Mammoth to remove these armies from the server.

Today is exactly one month from when I became Leader, so I think now is a good time for a progress check.  First I will start with the Championship Battle.

Things We Did Well

• Size – A testament to the turnaround ACP has made, as well as the dedication of the individual soldiers
• Charges – Large armies usually do this well, but we need to make it more of a group charge rather than a bunch of individual soldiers charging seconds apart
• Responsiveness  – We were generally better at changing rooms and moving quickly throughout the server than we were in the previous two battles
• Chat Directions – Soldiers were able to get on the server quickly despite many time and location changes

Things We Should Work On

• Regrouping – We tend to have trouble regrouping after charges, instead remaining within the enemy line
• Spreading Out – We need to spread out a bit to take up more space, you cannot tell that we are the larger army if we stand on top of each other
• Quick Response to Orders – We need to charge as a group, move as a group, and avoid the other army’s charges quickly and efficiently, this starts with responding quickly to commands made by the leader(s)

Now on to a more personal review, I would like to hear from you, the soldiers, about how ACP has done in the past month.  Here is what we have accomplished and what we plan to work on.

What We Have Accomplished

• Ended the Rebellion and Leadership problems
• New Chat
• Successfully Defended the RPF Capital of Tuxedo
• Alliance with CPAF (Club Penguin Air Force)
• The first Governor Elections since May
• Training Regiment restarted after over a month of inactivity
• Strong Alliance with IW
• Christmas Tournament Champions
• The most hits on the ACP site in a one month period since August 2007 when ACP was at its peak (only 4 hits less per day)
• Highest recruitment rate since August ’08, the peak month of the year for ACP of both 2007 and 2008 (averaging exactly 101 hits per day in both cases)
• Most ranked soldiers in ACP’s history
• Some of the highest battle turnout I have ever seen

What Is Still to Be Done

• Start up practice battles and tactic sessions for both high-ranking officers and new recruits
• Get together with IW for some practice sessions and future plans
• Continue to form alliances
• Get SSACP fully up and running
• Fix the blogroll, About the Leader, and RSS
• Whatever else is necessary

Since I am fairly new to the Leadership thing, I would like your opinions on how I and the other leaders have done so far.  Since I am here to represent you, your opinions are important too.  Please answer the follow polls honestly.  Please also comment any questions, critiques, or suggestions you may have on this post.  Thanks for the help.

Yes, we owned! Boomer and I led the entire battle, with several soldiers taking pictures. Overall we just totally PWNED! OWNAGE!

ACP HAS REDEEMED ITSELF! WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

ACP won a confusing yet decisive match against the IW.  The judges ruled an 8-5 victory for ACP!!  The battle was scheduled for Christmas.  Christmas was full and then the backup was full so the battle was moved to Snow Day.  The battle was then moved to Friaca, but only ACP moved to the Portugese server.  Minutes before the battle, which had been rescheduled, ACP managed to get to Snow Day.  The battle raged throughout the map, but in the end, ACP smothered the IW troops into submission in the Dance Club.  I would like to thank all of the ACP soldiers who stuck with us throughout the tournament, as well as IW for being a very worthy opponent and making the Championship match so exciting.  I look forward to our close alliance and the practice battles we are working on setting up.  I would also like to give a big round of applause to CPWN and Bobcatboy for setting this up.  It was a great way to kick off the holiday season.

I did not get on the server until about 20 minutes into the battle, first because the server was full, then because my computer crashed 😐 .  So the pics start at 2:35 PST.

Well CP thought it would be cool to crash my computer, but being at that battle was totally worth it!!  Congrats to all the soldiers who made it.  It was awesome, I don’t know what else to say.

Oagal’s edit: Now that’s what I call a messed up battle.

Only a day or two before the battle, the time was changed. With both armies in a panic to inform their soldier of this sudden change, things were only further complicated when the original server (Christmas) become full, and the back up (Winter Land) was no less crowded. By the time the battle should have started, both armies had troops in Christmas, Winter Land, Portuguese servers, and God knows where else.

Then the battle was pushed back 15 minutes, and stationed on Snow Day, which was filled with soldiers in what I’m sure is a record time. By then, most soldiers had already been on CP for around forty-five minutes, and stayed on for over an hour and a half.

Not to mention the fact that Boomer couldn’t get on any of the servers until nearly half-way through the battle, partially because of a computer crash, Jedi couldn’t be there until half an hour after the original starting-point, and Shab didn’t arrive at all (as far as I know, anyway).

Despite this cornecopia of misfortune, both sides still managed to put up an amazing battle.  I wasn’t there for the second half, so I can’t really tell you guys how each side did later on. But I do have some pictures:

Boomer: I don’t think I need to tell you how important a battle this is.  That is why I want to see every single soldier there.  The IW are a large army.  They did not get here by luck.  Our size will not be as big of an advantage against them as it was against the Nachos.  But honestly, the IW have not faced an army as strong as we are thus far.  Let’s prove why we are the best army in Club Penguin.  I want everyone on the server and on the chat 30 minutes early.  For those on chat and CP, stay in a group, standing shoulder to shoulder so as to look as large as possible without covering anyone up, and do not charge until you see a command to do so.  This will be given on chat first and then everyone on chat, say it CP so those who are not on chat can charge as well.  We need to work as a group more in this battle if we want to win.  Also, if you cannot get on Christmas, which will probably be a problem, keep trying unless you know the battle has been moved to the back-up server.  Having soldiers on Winter Land will not help us on Christmas, so keep trying.  Good luck ACP!  I will see you on the battlefield.

Important: I (Boomer) have received an email saying someone tried to change my wordpress password.  To do this, they need me to accept, so I am urging all editors and admins to change their passwords to something harder to guess, and if you receive this email, do not take the link in the email, just ignore it.  This seems to be an attempt to hack the site, so it is extremely important that we do what we can to prevent this.  As a precaution, I have downloaded a copy of the site to my hardrive and moved Shab back to Editor in case his account gets hacked.

Shab: See Oagal we can handle Acp. I, for the 2nd time, got nachos and everyone else to not  (nachos are probably not gonna attack) attack and possibly destroy Acp. The first time was harder to stop but I had to use a rebellion to do it.( Boomer can i have a medal or a promo XD for this. “Stopped Nachos From Attacking 2 Times In A Row”) Oagal ty for your help and I have been glad to have you back (after the whole 2 or 3 week thing where I got fired) but its time again for you to go and let Acp run its course. We, the leaders, won’t disappoint you.

Shab: I know your one of the best at tactics and leading a successful battle but I think Boomer and Jedi and me need to show how strong ACP is and to show that its not just you that gives ACP the strength to overcome our enemies. I wish i could say otherwise but yes, I ask that you leave.

Oagal: If you guys and Boomer think it’d be best for the ACP, then I’ll go. But I want you to read what Akabob22 mentioned at the end of his declaration-of-war post:

1. The battle will take 30 minutes long. (ex. 12:00-12:30) [Boomer: 45 this time]
2. Each army MUST have at least 5 pictures and make the 5th one at the end. (video is optional)
3. Opponents cannot go on your chat until the war is over.

5. You May show up early but do not start until it is time.
6. Must accept a loss- please be mature is you lose

Hey, Sheila here! I’m posting the new newspaper:
