Our Around the World Cup III match-ups have finally been scheduled, and we deem it necessary to explain to you, our members, why this tournament holds so much significance to us; why it’s our current #1 target to win.
To those who were here for it, March Madness might have felt like reaching the pinnacle of it all, but now we must march on to our next objectives and keep learning, growing, and also trying our best to achieve even more victories. Our legacy did not end there, and just like how Oagalthorp stated, A new generation of ACP is here.
Now, what is Around the World Cup?
This tournament was hosted for the first time exactly 2 years ago, with its first edition being in 2024. It consists of a replica of the actual football World Cup format, with a group stage that leads into a knock-out phase. In this case, those who win the group stage by earning points advance directly to a final. This year, though, you earn points per room won, not per battle won, which means that we must excel in every single moment of a battle if we wish to advance to the final.
On the week of May 25th to May 31st, we will partake in the group stage, with battles scheduled to favor different timezones. This symbolizes going ‘Around the World’, and also allows the army to showcase its firepower across all three divisions. All of the upcoming battles have been scheduled in our Discord, and we encourage you to participate in them. Many clovers, a medal, and a trophy are to be earned. A great opportunity to keep making history alongside all of us.
Why does it hold so much importance?
Over the past 2 years, the Around the World Cup tournament has provided us with our biggest heartbreaks.
In its first edition, we managed to surpass our group by beating SWAT, Winged Hussars, and our brother allies, Help Force. The latter was in an incredibly close match-up, which alone decided who would advance to the final.

Following a very heated end to the group stage, we advanced to the final against the Elite Guardians. An army with whom we hadn’t been the best of friends, and a battle we wished to win at all costs.

The battle raged, and after some incredible exchanges of tactics in 3 rooms, the results were announced…

ACP loss.
It wasn’t just any loss, though. We had lost the tournament by a single room. Incredibly, though, we were at a size disadvantage, which we managed to overcome greatly. Still, the trophy was so close, yet so far, and that still was not the end…
Last year, during Around the World Cup II, we came back with high hopes, with eyes on the trophy that had barely escaped our grasp the previous year. This time, though, we were put into an even harder group, with Void Troops, Templars, and Doritos as our opponents, with the last two being our biggest enemies at the time. Despite it being a hard group, we never thought about backing down. Instead, we went on to do something magnificent…

Doritos, back then, were our #1 enemy. Our battle was very anticipated throughout the entire community. Once the day came, we managed to do something unthinkable.

We swept Doritos and had managed to advance out of the group stage undefeated. The hype was immense, and we had to start gearing up for what was about to come… The grand final vs. Aliens.

We went into the final with our heads held high. We were going to put in the battle of our lives. Three rooms followed:

After the main 3 rooms, the battle was so close that judges called an overtime room as a tiebreaker. These last 10 minutes would be the title decider.

Following overtime, judges called the results and…

ACP Loss.
Our demotivation was below the ground. We were even closer than the previous year, but minuscule aspects had stopped us from reaching the top…
Undefeated the entire tournament, aside from one room, the title decider.
TODAY
Almost poetically, another chance is being presented right in front of us.
The final battle of the group stage for Around the World Cup III is a battle during AUSIA times against Aliens.
Aliens, an army that we lost 2 tournament finals, a war, and Mammoth to. We cannot take them lightly. We will go into this battle with everything we have.

For Around the World Cup III, armies were given the choice to represent a country due to the FIFA World Cup being right around the corner. After a vote between our staff team, we decided on Ireland as the best option. This is because the clover is a sacred cultural emblem for them, their charm, as it also is for us. A themed uniform will also be made for us to use in the tournament!
We’re also bringing back Soldier of the Day. After its success in its return in the final week of March Madness, we deem it appropriate to bring it back for a tournament full of battles. This is a reminder that if you excel in everything you do, you will be rewarded.
The Army of Club Penguin has now managed to keep the streak of our #1 placement on the Top Ten for 12 weeks.
Two more weeks until we break yet another record.

Attend as many battles as you can, and retain our #1 position.
After what we pulled off earlier this year, it really feels like we can do anything that we put ourselves to.
The 3rd time’s the charm.
Let’s get into the World Cup vibe and take this chance to write our names into the history of our community once more.
On a small side note, we are not ignoring Templars. Our response will come in time, and the war is not over. Our focus is on more important things now.
In fact, we hope to meet Templars in the final. Best of luck.
