BLIZZARD, SB Headquarters: The results of the Christmas Showdown is finally here! The theme week took place from December 23rd till December 31st. After a fiery competition between Reindeer (Alpha) and Elves (Echo), the Echo’s emerged victorious! Read further for the summary of the whole week!

How did the theme week work?

There were daily challenges where the first three positions secured points for their entire team. The First Place holder receives 3 points for their entire team, Second Place holder receives 2 points for their entire team and the Third Place holder secures 1 point for their entire team.

The battle on 28th December, Saturday 2pm EST played a huge role in deciding the winner, as winning one room equals to 5 points. A tie gives both the team 3 points.

DAY 1: Flappy Bird

[TEAM ECHO] 1st place – Riri – 305
[TEAM ECHO] 2nd place – Kailey – 205
[TEAM ECHO] 3rd place – Judy – 199

The first day witnessed a sweep by Team Elves with Riri, Kailey and Judy earning 3 points, 2 points and 1 point respectively. The scores for day 1 was Team Echo in the lead with 6 points while Team Alpha at 0 points!

DAY 2: 2048

[TEAM ECHO] 1st place – Riri – 36424
[TEAM ALPHA] 2nd place – Lirri – 35504
[TEAM ECHO] 3rd place – Pepsi Man – 32952

The second day witnessed Team Elves still in the lead! However Team Reindeer managed to hold the 2nd place to themselves. The scores for this day was Team Echo in the lead with 10 points while Team Alpha at 2 points!

DAY 3: Tetris

[TEAM ALPHA] – 1st place – Pumpkin – 516,346
[TEAM ALPHA] – 2nd place – AOL – 418,949
[TEAM ALPHA] – 3rd place – Lirri – 361,287

This day witnessed Team Alpha overtaking, with the Reindeer taking the lead and sweeping all 7 points to themselves leaving no room for Elves. Team Echo in the lead with 10 points while Team Alpha is rising and at 8 points!

DAY 4: Crossy Roads

[TEAM ALPHA] – 1st place – Pumpkin – 820
[TEAM ALPHA] – 2nd place – Imvge – 607
[TEAM ECHO] – 3rd place – Riri – 448

Team Alpha clutched and overturned the scores, while Echo managed to secure the 3rd position. Team Alpha turned the tide with 13 points currently while Team Echo behind with 11 points!

DAY 5: Dino

[TEAM ALPHA] – 1st place – Pumpkin – 7603
[TEAM ECHO] – 2nd place – Pepsi Man – 6958
[TEAM ECHO] – 3rd place – Danny – 5620

Team Echo made a comeback this day, securing the 2nd and 3rd position to themselves. Team Alpha in the lead with 16 points currently while Team Echo is behind with 14 points!

BATTLE DAY: Reindeer vs. Elves

The battle day witnessed a massive difference between the Reindeer and Elves, as Team Echo grabbed a total of 15 points all to themselves. This made Team Echo in the lead with a total of 29 points while Alpha remained with 16 points.

DAY 6: Temple Run

[TEAM ALPHA] – 3rd place – Gugspugs – 1,517,131

Despite losing in the battle, the Reindeer kept their head high and swept yet another challenge! Team Echo remain in the lead with 29 points while Team Alpha begin to catch up again with 22 points.

DAY 7: Doodle Jump

[TEAM ECHO] – 1st place – Riri – 65,086
[TEAM ALPHA] – 2nd place – Damo – 58,640
[TEAM ALPHA] – 3rd place – Davi – 52,855

Although Reindeer secured the 2nd and 3rd position, being in the lead and securing the First position gave an advantage to the Elves. Team Echo in the lead with 32 points while Team Alpha at 25 points!

DAY 8: Subway Surfers

[TEAM ALPHA] – 1st place – Damo – 9,009,608
[TEAM ECHO] – 2nd place – Danny – 4,004,523
[TEAM ALPHA] – 3rd place – Davi – 650,864

The Reindeer stand strong despite being behind the Elves. The last hour was a heated fight between the Echos and Alphas. Team Echo in the lead with 34 points while Team Alpha at 29 points!

DAY 9: Snake Game

[TEAM ECHO] – 1st place – Riri – 2990
[TEAM ECHO] – 2nd place – Riri – 2875
[TEAM ALPHA] – 3rd place – Damo – 2750

This day posed a great challenge as the last challenge accepted multiple entries by the same person to be considered in the podium. Meaning, a person could secure all three positions if they had the score to! While Alpha dominated the podium initially, a minute before the challenge ended the Elves managed to secure the 1st and 2nd position. Echo’s final point count is 39 where as Alphas is 30

To sum this week up, here are few titles to appreciate your hard work!

• Star of the Show– Riri (for coming in the podium a total of 6 times and earning Echo a total of 20 points including the battle)
• Best Sportsmanship– Team Alpha (for keeping their heads up despite the odds being against them, and portraying a great mentality)
• Best Teamwork– Team Alpha (for winning a total of 5 daily challenges overall)
• Best Players– Riri (mentioned in the podium 6 times), Damo, Davi, Pumpkin (mentioned in the podium 3 times)

The winning division [Echo] will be receiving a role. Those who placed in the podium OR attended the branch battle will be receiving it.

Congratulations to Team Elves for winning the Christmas Showdown. Huge round of applause to both the teams for trying their level best! The constant changes in the points truly made the competition tough. Can’t wait to see who wins in the next Divisional Battle.
