DOBBY IS A FREE ELF

There is no doubt that what I’m doing doesn’t exactly feel right, but there’s nothing I can do about it. Since my beginning in armies- from rogue days of 07′-09′ into joining armies in 2010, I had envisioned myself  standing high and proud with a huge amount of people by my side. Dreams are, however, are not always obtainable. Even then, ACP helped me achieve a majority of these goals. It is something that (as childish as it is) I will never forget. The bonds I made with people are too strong to be broken apart.

Now, I’m not one for short farewell posts.

I might be asked, “Why so sudden?” To be completely honest, it is a decision I contemplated ever since I was given 3ic. No doubt I was happy, but I was also somewhat unsatisfied with myself. I’m this old  and barely made it close to what I had originally dreamed for back in 2009 (those were my CPMV days), so chances are, I won’t be getting anywhere better if I stay. I’d like to move on and focus on other things, but first of all I’d like to share my experience with everyone.

2006- April is the month I joined. I remember very clearly creating my penguin; the first name I tried was Penny, and without questioning it the name wouldn’t work. Lord knows how I ended up with the name I did: Prankster Me. The only reason I joined was because a kid down the street and my brother were both on it, and being 8-9 means copying whatever big brother does. The following years, 07′-09′ are a blur, and I can’t exactly remember how I ended up meeting a good old friend of mine, Kat.

2010- This was the beginning of everything I did. I was making CPMVs, speed drawings and joining armies. Below is a video I made.

Now, we can all agree that it’s terrible. Back in these days I went by Drew Mist, which is what I went by all throughout my first time in Romans until their fall and my joining of DCP. Before DCP, however, I created an army called “Dark Aero” that was an attempt to save Romans. This failed and I deleted the site.

Yes, odd enough I was in DCP at one time, serving under Wwe and Alf. This was in the time that DCP and NW were in a very tough war. Soon after I received the rank of low mod I quit DCP to join NW for no other reason but to join the winning side.

2011- I joined NW on January 15. This is the time when my early leadership training from Romans came handy. Ranks were strict and it was very hard to come by a promotion. I made a ton of friends during this time, ones I haven’t stopped talking to since. People like Etac14 (who actually wasn’t in NW, she was a reporter who came by. Used to think she was a guy.) and Kyle(enter numbers here).

Near the end of my time in NW I had created an army that I’m still pretty proud of- Team Blue (It’s undecided whether it was a recreation or not). I purposely interrupted one of ACP’s world wars to gain more attention for TB. Ironically they fell down the crapper a few days later, so I closed up shop and moved on back to NW. I’m not sure if I ever actually achieved the rank of low mod, but I am sure that I was handpicked before creating TB.

I quit NW for LT knowing that I wouldn’t be able to get much further; this was around when the war between ACP and NW ended. I joined under the leadership of what was supposed to be Ioio’s cousin. Somehow I felt more powerful in LT, so this power led me to join another armies: Sun Troops (or something like that). However something was raising during this time and having to decide on which army I was highest ranked, I left ST for LT.  Since I joined LT for mod, gaining ownership was no big deal at all. Quickly becoming 2ic, I worked my hardest in LT. One day in my time of LT, I was given leader.  Due to the fact that I couldn’t stand some of the people in LT, I quit the same day. I am not recognized as an LT leader, but I was one.

After Lt came the best army: ACP. I joined in mid 2011. Pictures down below show my earliest time.

I worked my hardest from then until the end of the year, which is when I turned lazy and unreliable.

2012- Not one of my prime years, but also a year that was setting up for one of my most successful years. Somehow through the on-off activeness I managed to get 2nd highest mod.

2013- This was my year, but unfortunately crumbled because of certain elements I was not able to use. Sadly I was not born with the capability to lead people on a virtual game designed for kids in grade school.

This post was saved as a draft for a very long time and I don’t think that I could finish my history since I no longer have the same thoughts flowing through my head when I was writing it before, so now I’ll move onto more practical retirement post things.

Let’s start with the people who I married/bff’d:

Flipmoo- The guy I’m secretly loving. I don’t even know where to start with you, we’ll be bffs for A LONG time because you’re so mega rad. Timezones ain’t got shit on us.

Etac14- You were in ACP once, right? I think so; we’ve been amazing friends for nearly 3 years now and I don’t know what I’d be without you.

Boomer 20- Oh jeez, you’re like the last slice of pizza- everyone wants you ( 😉 ). In all honesty you’re a really rad guy who I’m really glad that I got to get to know.

Shaboomboom- People will never understand our love. Your stories will always hold a place in my heart, even though I never got to be in one (I’m not sure if I’d even like to be).

Everyone else:

Mchappy- MY DEAR AND LOVING TWINZIE, I haven’t seen you in a long time, but that doesn’t mean I can’t put you up here. 😀 You’re super cool and really awesome, please come back on!

Tori- The only other female owner, besides Slime. Together we are the mighty Femmisisters!

Other honorable mentions:

Bluesockwa1, Fort, Cait, Funks, Slider, Stew, Fox, Freddy, Hock, and King Mondo. (and Victor)

Now that I that I’m retiring, I can’t use this song when  I coup someone. 🙁

As my last words to ACP:

There was a time when I realized that I need to finally grow up and face the real world. Even though I still found armies entertaining to some extent, there was no way that it would ever help me in the long run. People may say that you develop leadership skills and such, but I really don’t believe it at all. Look around and all you see are kids who like to one-up each other and try to be the most important person around. There is no real goal for armies and I believe the only reason that the people who are 14+ and still here are because they’re not willing to give up something they put so much time into. It’s understandable, but it’s also kind of ridiculous. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: responsibility demands sacrifice. Take on the responsibility and take care of your real life, armies may fall, but that’s okay. The memories you have with the people you met will never really fade if it means anything to you.

Life will move on, and it will be okay.

  4. I don’t have any farewells to say because I know we’ll still be in touch, but I’ll miss seeing you as an owner on the ACP chat. You were a good 3rd in Command, helping troops and such. You’re graphics are pretty awesome too, lol.
And haha, that’s true. Screw time zones!

    Bye Mon!

  8. I’m sure I’ll see you around in CPAC and while I’m hounding you for graphics, but it’s sad to see you go here as you have always been one of ACP’s most sensible owners.

I’m sure I’ll see you around, but have a great life.

  9. Thanks for giving me a mention. It was quite sudden and unexpected that you’d retire but for some people I suppose 3ic is the deadline. You ACP joined somewhere between my term as 3ic and my term as 2ic and it was great to see how the modest member in ACP turned out. You’re probably the last of the generation I led too. Well good luck in life Mon and I wish you the best of luck.

  10. Goodbye mon 🙂 good luck in your life
