Owners, Mods and Autobans

ban

First of all, for those who believe that once an owner bans someone, a mod cannot unban them, the above graphic proves it is false and it happened to me, an owner, repeatedly.

We had an incident the other night in our chat that needs to be addressed.  I know we have “relaxed rules,” but there are 3 specific words that ACP does not allow in any form 24/7 and resulting in a 1 hour autoban minimum depending on usage.  These words, I’m sure you can figure out are f-word, n-word, and c-word that is slang for female privates.  (wary)  These 3 words are autoban 1 hour at all times in any for or context.

A couple of nights ago, I had to sadly ban someone who knows our rules an hour for using the f -word.  A mod, who I shall not name to spare humiliation, immediately unbanned this person.  They proceeded to argue with me that it was relaxed hours.  I explained to them f-word is 24/7 and 1 hour autoban.  I apologized to the previously banned person and banned them again.  Then another mod, again I will not name, unbanned this person.  UGH.  I reiterated that regardless of “relaxed hours,” these 3 words are not allowed at any time.   Again, I apologized and banned the person again.

When an owner bans someone, mods are NOT to unban them.  If you have a problem with this, I suggest you talk to Funks about it.  We are here to oversee the chat and when we make judgment calls and take necessary action, mods are not to undo these actions.   Thank you.

For those mods and members who are unaware, let me restate the rule.  Yes, we have “relaxed hours” but the three words, f-word, n-word, and c-word are autobans, minumum 1 hour at all times, 24/7 in any context or form of the words.  This rule has been in existence for as long as I’ve been in ACP and longer.

Special thanks to Obama81000 and Samra for volunteering to participate in the graphic for this post.  Samra did not do anything wrong, she agreed to be banned for the graphic.  Thanks you two!

  1. Good heavens, that the pic wasn’t real.

  2. This is just my two cents but the f word should’t be banned in relaxed times when words like the s word and (2) b words aren’t… the f word is like the most commonly used one so it’s asking for people to ban.

  3. Interestin’.
