***I’d also like to point out that I will be floating around as like a temp leader advisor to Slider, and we will help him in his first week and help cover for him while he is on holiday in his second week. When he returns from holiday, Ken and I will officially leave as a like leader character and let Slider do his thing. So basically:
- Week one: I will help Slider out and give him advice or w/e.
- Week two: I help lead ACP (probably with Icey) and keep them afloat while Slider is on holiday
- Week three and onwards: Slider is sole leader and I finally leave to retirement island
Effectively I am like a ghost leader for the next 2 weeks, so if you ever wanted to do me or Flen proud, now is the time to do it to show you can cope with change.***
Hey ACP,
I am Flipper7706, and this is my official retirement from the Army of Club Penguin.
I was planning on making a massive 10,000 word+ post for my Retirement, but really, I don’t think that’s needed. All I want to say is a few words to some people and of course to you guys, and then I will leave you in peace. Some people have called the leadership of “Flen” too long, and they are probably true. I’d also like to set a few things straight during this post. So, click read more, enjoy, and get ready to say your farewells!

1. Why are you retiring?
There are various reasons for retiring, but I’ll list the most important ones below.
- ACP leader is becoming a job, not a fun little activity I do after school. Some days I purposely don’t login to ACP chat or make a post because I just couldn’t be bothered to do the work it would create.
- It seems like many people don’t want me (us) here because we’ve been leader too long, and I can sympathise with that. The only reason we didn’t retire earlier was because we enjoyed it, but now that’s not the case. It’s time for Slider to take the leadership of ACP, and although a lot of you have doubts about him I can tell you in the past few weeks he’s even won over me, probably one of his biggest haters; so please give him a chance.
- My social life to be honest is pretty nil at the moment, and at the age I’m at I’ve got to start doing things for myself and not for others, like you guys. So this is basically just me being free from the challenge of being ACP leader.
I hope you understand why I’m retiring, but if you have any more questions about it ask me on chat.
2. What are you going to do now?
A few things, and I’ll tell you what I’m going to do xat and CP Armies wise.
- I will not be leaving XAT for the time being, and will not be giving most of my powers away. I will probably keep most of them and give away the useless ones, as I have one last goal to do in XAT before leaving.
- Just to get this straight – I’m retiring. I’m not resigning/stepping down to a lower rank, (unless you guys want me to, check further down) I’m leaving the entire ranks system of ACP and for the foreseeable future, never coming back unless I’m really needed. Of course I’ll take up a rank of advisor or whatever, although that means nothing, and I will still chill on ACP chat a lot.
- I will not be rejoining another army, because frankly the stress of joining armies when retired is just not worth it. I’m also retiring because of not having a social life, so rejoining another army won’t work.
Again, any other questions feel free to ask me on chat.
3. A few words
This is just a few words to people who have really helped me.
- Wiggle Nn (Paddy) – We aren’t exactly the best of friends to date, but if it wasn’t for you finding me on Nacho chat by mistake, I would never of got to where I have been in ACP. I guess I owe you my whole CP Army life. Thanks.
- Saiyaman Xc – I used to be really jealous of you in UGA when you merged with us to get leader, ironic isn’t it that we merged to get leader in another army. The GW/GT days were great with you, and I’m really sad you don’t come on anymore.
- Iasgae56 – You’ve been like a dad to me the whole time. In times of crisis/need you would be there to give me advice and help me through. Especially with ACP things like Shab incident, and I probably couldn’t of made it through those without you.
- Kenneth1000 – When we were first made leaders we weren’t really friends. I never saw you on chat, and becoming leaders gave us a forged friendship and since you’ve probably been my best friend in ACP when I was leader, even when we had those big fights. I hope we can stay in touch.
- Ollie/Icey Cold27 – You guys I’m thanking for basically the same reason, if you hadn’t of retired/chosen me for the role you left I wouldn’t be where I am today, retiring as a leader of ACP. It’s been great, and thanks a lot you guys.

I will probably be releasing my unfinished 10k word post without over 300 thanks, but for now it’s just these people I want to talk to.
4. Requests
A few requests that I’d like to ask of you guys.
- I’d like to stay owner on ACP chat (I know thats kind of guaranteed already) and stay Editor on ACP site. If you ever need me to renew CSS or Domain, I’ll probably do it if you ask me. And if you always need another Main, I’m here!
- I know it’s wrong to ask for this kind of thing, but I’d really like to achieve a Medal of Honour for my long stay at ACP and so I don’t feel that I wasted my time here. Yup, a virtual medal can make being leader of ACP all worthwhile!
- If you don’t like Slider (and who could?!?) don’t hate on him please, and give him a chance of ACP leader. A lot of people doubted ACP when Ken and I were given leadership, and hey look, we’re still alive!
- I’d also like to ask Slider to give me the one week option to return as 2ic/3ic or something like that if I want to. I know that’s a lot to ask Slider, but I may want to return if the soldiers want me.
If there is a 75%+ vote for me to step down, I will probably return as 2ic/3ic. I may add more to this section as things come to mind.
5. Goodbye!
I guess it’s time for me to leave now. I’ve said my words and now I’ve just got a message to you guys – Being where you are today, whether its a low or high rank, just enjoy your time at ACP. If you don’t start to enjoy it, retire. Otherwise you will start to become a misery guts just like I was towards the end of my leadership, and you don’t want to be remembered for being lazy at the end. I tried my best for the whole year and months I was leader, and I think I was successful until the end of my ACP career.
To confirm, Slider568 will take over from Ken and I as leader.
Kenneth will most likely be retiring today too, following his post yesterday, and we leave you in the perfect way possible. The eve of war, a new ACP to be thrown straight into a tough test. But guys, we are ACP – Of course it’s possible to win another war, even with a new leader. If you don’t like Slider, do it for Ken and I as we have full trust into him. I guess that’s all I have to say. I came back for 1 final war, even if it was short, and now it’s time for me to go.
It’s the ending of an era with Flen, a beginning of a new one with Slider.

Nice confidence booster there. Think about it for a second – a leader with no confidence is all you need for any army to fall. We should all be giving Slider our support and encouragement, not publicly stating that nobody likes him.

You had a good long run Flipper, nothing left on the table. I find it admirable that you managed to keep the thank-you’s to a minimum, many people (including myself) have gone on a long run of thank-you’s to countless people.
If you want some advice, retire. Don’t step down to become a lower owner rank. For one thing, retirement can prove to be a lot more fun. For another thing, putting yourself at a lower owner rank denies others the chance to move up in ranks and denies the army a chance to progress. With every change of leadership there must be change in the owner ranks, and just switching yours and Slider’s positions really isn’t a progressive change at all.

I think that you should step down instead of retire. I only asked if i could join the ACP a few days ago,but from that time and what i’ve read you and kenneth seam like good leaders and good people,and that’s why i think you should stay. It would be an honor serving you.

So the day is finally upon us. We’ve our disagreements over the years, especially recently. But in the end, I do truly believe I was able to learn from you, and I do have a level of respect for you as well. Goodbye, Flipper, good luck in life, and I wish you all the best.
Oh, and, incidentally, I believe you ought to retire. One of the freatest virtues a leader can have is knowing when to leave. And, if youvstay as a 2ic, the new leader will likely feel obligated to listen to you, and that can just create more Shab-esque problems.

So many retirements(crying). Flipper, I cherish all of our PC conversations and I pray for you and your family’s long happiness. I’m so honored to have served under your leadership and celebrate the good times with you and help you out in the tough times. I wish you’d stay, but I understand your reasons for leaving.
