Hai Der ACP!
After losing the Semi Finals of the Champions Cup to SWAT everyones not their usually proud selves all of a sudden. We can’t let something so simple as a tournament let us down and make us give in. We’ve never let one small loss decide who we are, heck we went face to face with the Night Warriors in 2010 who gave us a run for our money, even took all our servers but we took them all back and crushed the NW down to what they are today. Near the beginning of ACP’s creation when Oagal (the god of cloverism) lead ACP we had come to our first real war with the infamous Romans, now the odds were against us but we didn’t let that stop us and fought the Romans up to their breaking point in which they died off for good.
What I’m trying to get to is that this isn’t even a war, but it mind as well be because everyone is disappointing in this loss. The downside to ACP is that we really don’t take losses well, as we rarely ever do lose, but we’ll get over it. We can’t let a tiny bump in the road get us down, just think back to all the close calls we’ve had, sure it looked bleak but we pulled through and stood on top. SWAT barely beat us, in a battle thats sure to be remembered weather we like the memory or not, but both of us fought well. We did amazingly and we preformed top notch, but there were a few flaws that we just couldn’t stop. We made it to the semi finals, now thats something we should be proud of. I’m honored to be in an army this great, and proud of each of you for giving these battles your all. This wasn’t the first loss and it defiantly won’t be our last. We both did so awesomely that I wouldn’t be surprised if SWAT and ACP are tied in the next CPAC top 10.
Now with that said, getting over something like this tactically isn’t as easy as getting our moral back, although that will help. After battles I like to ask myself, what could we have improve on or what could I have done better or different? Sometimes I’ll go deep and lose myself and I have to run to wordpress and make a new post, well thats one of these times. Theres some major issues I spotted in our battle and it wasn’t much from the leadership, it was the cooperation from soldiers. Maybe it was a bad day or maybe we’re getting a little rusty and need to look at how we can improve, well below we’ll look at the problems individually and in more depth.
1.) Formation Problems
First this I’d like to talk about is the formation problems I noticed at the Champions Cup battle. We had a lot of clumping which made us look smaller and at times we had big huge gaps or people standing out in the middle of the room doing nothing, and we can’t have that! If you’re clumping move to a gap, if theres no room move and make a new branch off the formation. You’ll need to pay attention and just keep awake and be ready to move whenever the problem arises. It doesn’t hurt to give your fellow soldiers a reminder on chat to tell them they need to move and remember, always stay in the formations until we do a charge, which in that case the owners leading will point out that we’re charging (“LOOK OUT, THEY’RE CHARGING” :LOL)
2.) Listening
Listening is a very important thing to make sure you do during any events, this means following orders and following them out on Club Penguin and making sure you pay attention to everything the leaders say. We’ve been having trouble getting everyone to listen. Our tactics have gaps in them when not everyone listens, being idle also hurts our performance. To listen is to follow orders, everyone needs to stay awake during events. If you can help it don’t go idle, if you know you’re going to be gone for the battle it might be better to log off and sign out of chat so we have everyone online listening. You also shouldn’t try to lead, unless you’re supposed to be leading (ex: Owner tells mod or member to take over) then just either repeat the orders being said or stay silent. If you’re listening to orders you probably shouldn’t be in any side conversations, we have most of the week to talk, keep quite for an hour or so.
3.) Being tactically accurate
This means doing the correct tactic orders, some penguins do something completely different, if ordered to type in “Why so small?” and instead typing in “Why u so small?” is something that fits into the category. Doing the correct emote or charge is something incredibly important, this could mean the difference of a loss or win so make sure you don’t make the mistake of doing something like E+T instead of E+L. Something so minor can be so important, funny huh?
I hope this post gave you back some moral and/or helped you realize what you need to improve on. No army is perfect and we’re defiantly one of those examples. So lets get up, dust off and continue the rise on glory, glory to the green!

Nicely stated Slider, such class and truth. ACP is still at the top! Sure we might have not beaten SWAT, but out of all armies we were in the finals and that’s not something to take lightly. I do agree that some things could have been better and it’s important we acknowledge them and work on them to improve. As good as ACP is, there is always room for improvement and revisions. If you ask me, ACP IS #1 of all armies because of the tournament AND our great attitude and for what we stand for and believe in. Can’t get any better than that! …Don’t let it go to our heads though….we are great people!

When we lost, there was mass spam and rage and denial. We can’t let this happen. People who did that embarrassed ACP’s maturity and made us look like bad losers. Like what Flip said we can’t ruin our image or we’d become the army to hate on.

If you’re gonna face SWAT, face UMA and LT as well. LT is constantly being inappropriate on their website, their leader rages at everything, and they don’t like clovers. 😀 UMA has always been a kind of inappropriate army, sometimes more so, sometimes less that way, and they were once our rivals, in case you recall.
We shouldn’t go to war based on old hatreds or because we lost once in a friendly tournament against them, an ally. We should focus on honing our maturity and image as an army so more people will like us and join us. This would help us with practices and training. If we really want to face SWAT, why not a PB?
Also, we should all set ourselves goals for ACP. Not easy ones, but ones that will take effort and time but will be rewarding. For example, I’ve set myself a goal to change my activity levels back to the levels in February and also become a lot more talkative in chat and become integrated into the community

Well I see where this war is coming from, we haven’t had a very peaceful history with SWAT either.
True, but people need to think more seriously about the situation:
1. SWAT are our allies and many of our troops, including Funks, our 3ic, are in SWAT and they’ll be forced to choose loyalties and make hard decisions. The past is the past.
2. Declaring war on allies just because we lost a tournament to them is not a good idea whatsoever.
They gave us a run for our money, it’s only natural we want to duke it out with them.
We should think about it though. If people think we won then don’t blame SWAT, blame CPAC. Also, what publicity would we get? A big addition to our already-degrading publicity because of a hate war? And again, we are allies. We’d look like jerks if we betrayed them.
Exactly. However, I also agree with Slider. But, war isn’t the only way of duking it out with them. We could instead have a practice battle or two, or maybe we could set up a practice war. What do I mean by practice war? I mean that we could have practice ‘invasions’ and keep track of what servers we’ve ‘lost’. Both sides would technically keep the servers they lose, but in terms of the practice war, we would duke it out to the very end and see if we can ‘destroy’ SWAT. That way we wouldn’t really be declaring war on anyone, and it would be a great chance for both armies to practice.
That seems like an excellent idea, but it would be a bit hard to arrange this practice war and such, and it would lead to disputes and propaganda. However, other than that I have no objections to a practice war. Good idea 🙂
Propaganda? What exactly do you mean by that?
Take LT, they used propaganda against us and made pictures of us doing bad things etc to make their soldiers think ACP is bad. We used a bit against them too..
I don’t think there be any incentive to make propaganda. It would be a friendly war with both sides keeping respect for one another. Just a thought. Also, it wouldn’t be that hard to organize. Each side would just keep track of the servers they’ve ‘lost’ or ‘gained’ and give an update on the situation at the end of every battle or ‘invasion’. It’s not like SWAT has any reason to say ACP is evil, and we have hardly any reason to call SWAT evil.
