CPACCC Battle & Organization Tips + Saturday Game Night

Hello ACP!

Coming up, this Sunday we’re going up against the Light Troops, who dropped two places down on the top 10. They tied with the Global Defenders, who didn’t even make it on this week’s top 10. The Light Troops claimed to have lost due to a lack of notice, which could very well be true. We’ve had some history and rivalry with the Light Troops and theres no questioning that they will find this an opportunity to beat us and prove to the army community they’re #1. With this incentive the Light Troops might do better than we expect them to, so it might be helpful to have a bit of a refresher and go over the rules for the tournament.

1.) Battle and Organization Tips

I’ve  notice over the past few events thaat our we’re still having trouble avoiding clumping. This is something we really will never totally be able to avoid, but if you realize you’re one of the penguins clumping just move to an empty place in the line, start a new branch off the formation, or if theres a gap move over and fill it. Try to keep away from side conversations on chat, stay focused on the battle (where you should be focused anyways ) and try to stay away from distractions like PCs and this is important, don’t PC the owners! The owners are the ones usually leading and you trying to talk to any owner just distracts them from leading, so unless it’s dire try to hold your questions or comments until after the battle!

We also still need reminders to wake up and pay attention to orders. Sometimes a whole part of a formation just goes idle and we can’t have that, it’ll make our tactics less effective and this might not be such a big deal during training sessions, but at tournaments, practice battles, and especially wars we need to be at the top of our game. As well as following the orders, when there is a break in the orders or when we’re in the pre-battle it’s a good idea to recruit, and if there isn’t any orders being given during the battle you should also throw snowballs frequently throughout the entire battle.

Sometimes soldiers think it would be helpful to try and pitch in with the leading or think they’re helping by moving soldiers to another room early, but it’s not. If you’re not supposed to be leading don’t, if you do you could get banned for up to 24 hours on ACP chat, and wouldn’t be able to participate in the battle. We also want to keep chat under control, so while we wait for an answer from the judges try to stay calm, and after the results are announced no matter the winner just hold your head up high and thank the Light Troops for a good battle because we don’t want to be known as the sore losers or sore winners and rub the win in LT’s face.

For a reminder I’ll just go over the CPAC-CC rules so we don’t do anything against them…

  • No recruiting on any XAT chat. (Unless you are a main owner on that chat)
  • No bribery of other troops into your army to win a battle
  • No Bots
  • Drilling isn’t aloud due to mass of “noob” intake. Individual drilling (One soldier – Five soldiers) is accepted.
  • Any swearing after a result from a leader rank could result in DQ.
  • Use common sense, if you don’t think we will allow it don’t do it.
  • Judges will be any member (current or former) of the CPAC.

2.) ACP Game Night

Have you ever seen so many green penguins?

I thought since we’ve had all these battles lately everyone might be getting a little bored and want a fun fighting-free event where we can just relax on Club Penguin, we’ll do whatever you guys decide and play games for hours if you choose so. The game night will start at 4:30 Eastern but we can go as long as you want. I’d also like to apologize for the late UK times, but I wanted to fit it in on a weekend night and it had to be after the Tundra Training. So lets get onto the times…

ACP Game Night

Where? Mammoth!

When? Saturday March 23rd

Why? To relax and have some fun!

Times:

5:00 PM Eastern

4:00 PM Central

3:00 PM Mountain

2:00 PM Pacific

9:00 PM United Kingdom

I wanted to make the event on Saturday because everyone has to get up for school the next day after Sunday night so it won’t be as exciting and we couldn’t party as long, but I couldn’t make it any earlier because the training session could last up to an hour, and if I was to put it before we would have a limit on how long we could play games. Also make sure you check out Flipper’s post on the CPACCC Quarter Finals so you can find out if you can attend or not.
