Hey ACP!
Well, I decided to take a break from all these “Improvement” posts that everyone’s doing nowadays. I’ve decided to make a relatively laid back post for you to enjoy. This post is dedicated to Stew20.
What better way to have a more amusing post than with a knock off version of the popular amongst penguin newspaper, the “Club Penguin Times”. So, here we have some stupid, fun, boring topics for you to “adore”.
Champion’s Cup: Battles
*-Indicates most points in groups. (9)
Well, Club Penguin Army Central’s(CPAC) Champion’s Cup is drawing to a close as 9 of the 16 who began are moving into the Quarter Finals. Out of the four groups the top winners were the Dark Warriors, the Army of CP*, the Ninjas* and the Ice Warriors. With a second place qualifier going through from each round we end up with 9 armies remaining as both SWAT and the Metal Warriors are drawn on points. The upcoming battles stand as:
Dark Warriors vs Underground Mafia Army
Nachos vs Ninjas
Army of CP vs Light Troops
Metal Warriors vs Ice Warriors vs SWAT
Who will qualify for the Semi Finals? Who will win the Champion’s Cup 2012? Will Flip ever stop annoying Funks? All shall be revealed very soon. For a more in-depth look at the tournament read Flip’s very short post here.
Cloverism: Takes Over
The House of Clovers depicted in PaintIt has been years since this religion has been brought back into the light. Cloverism, originally created back in 2006 has recently become a main topic on the Army of Club Penguin chat room. The group, created by Oagalthorp has since grown to outstanding numbers. Hundreds of Oagal’s followers now trek once a year to the House of Clovers found in the outskirts of the server, Breeze. They gather amongst each other and worship the heavenly figure as groups. Current religious leaders of Cloverism, Kenneth and Flipper are often found in stately mansions found near the sacred server of Breeze. We encourage all members of the penguin community to convert as Oagal may unleash his unsuspecting wrath.
In Focus: Timezone
Recently, the Army of Club Penguin and many others are starting to depend more on time-zone battles. You can’t prevent where recruits are being brought in from and often you end up with a mixed army. Whether from Australia to the United States of America they are all a value to the army. Some armies are more populated with one region of the world than an other and that means holding events at different times than say the normal 3EST(example). When this army happens to find itself in a war there can be advantages alongside the disadvantages. This army could easily invade at a time difficult for the opposition to attend in strong, threatening numbers. An argument against that could easily be that the army could lose whilst invaded at times inconvenient for them. That’s why the ACP is such a strong army. They have a wide range of soldiers from across the globe who are loyal and ready for action. Some armies claim it is unfair to invade them at times that they have less soldiers on. The answer to this is easy. Recruit. The ACP has a strong European force unlike any other army. They can achieve sizes up to 30 and more with them. What are your views on time-zone battles? Leave a comment if you wish. 😀
Ask: The Duke(and Flip)
Today, I caught up with the Duke of Breeze and leader of the Army of Club Penguin himself, Kenneth1000. He was also with his colleague, Flipper7706 whom I was able to talk too as well. I got Ken and Flip a cappuccino with a ginger nut and we got to work.
You’ve both been ACP leaders for sometime now. What’s been your most epic/memorable/proud moment with the army so far?
Ken: -He was being annoying so no answer-
Flip: Getting interviewed right now. I’d like to thank my mom and dad as if not I’d just be a normal penguin right now. Now, I’m an ACP Penguin. Is this going in the newspaper? I want a copy for Momma Flip. She’ll bake me some cookies when I get home from my 12 hour (9am-9pm) shift.
When your leaving the ACP staff base on a Friday night is Ken/Flip quite the mischievous and trouble making fellow?
Ken: Yes, he toilet papered Oagal’s house and fired pistols at nearby trees.
Flip: God, you wouldn’t believe the stories. Once I was walking back to momma’s igloo and Ken threw some clovers at me. I was like thanks. They were poisoned with Nachos and It was a near death experience. Never trusted him since.
Are you confident that the army can win the Champion’s Cup?
Ken: I should be even if we aren’t, which we are. [?]
Flip: Hang on, preparing a long speech about how we can do good or bad….Mmk, here it is. Yes!
What’s your favourite event as an army eg. War, Practice Battles?
Ken: War. I like planning and waging it.
Flip: Probably war, because although there may be downsides, it gets us big and excited.
What’s your favourite tactic on Club Penguin?
Ken: “The X”
Flip: “Waterfall”(a fancy bomb)
So, I give you the Army of Club Penguin Supreme Commanders. From the above answers we can see that they are experienced and the were picked for their positions due to outstanding intelligence.
The End
So, I expected two days ago to have been writing something a little more sane but this is what I’ll go with. I apologise for this inconvenience and I hope you can return to your busy work schedule.
-Ek ACP Commander General
