A Diary of an ACP Soldier

In the last chapter, Foldez and his platoon of ACP troops successfully secured the bridge and are now preparing to blow it up.

“Okay guys, move away from the blast zone and take some cover” I said . Levandoski then handed Bingoradar the detonator to the bomb. All of a sudden a convoy of LT troops in unarmoured trucks drove straight for the bridge. They have not seen an ACP troops and were not suspecting a thing. Rawkinman under the orders of myself, told his squad to open fire right as the entire LT convoy was on the bridge. They were going to reach the bridge in 10 seconds! As they reached it, Rawkiman, and his squad opened fire with their machine guns which caused many casualties within the LT ranks. It also caused great confusion and LT troops were running everywhere trying to get out of their trucks. While Rawkinman and his squad mowed them down literally with hails of lead.

I then ordered Bingoradar to press the detonator. A huge fireball came up and all the LT troops have fallen into the river. The bridge was now a twisted pile of metal. I picked up my pistol and quietly marched his platoon away. In the distance, Mr Waffle can see masses of LT troops running to investigate the explosion. “I guess we better get out of here faster than I thought” he told me. They all hid deep in the forest. They all now need to evade the LT troops that were now hunting them down. They need to reach the extraction zone quickly and get out of enemy lines.

“Shh” said Duck Soldier. As 12dash61 accidentally stepped on a twig. The terrain in these lands were harsh. The forest was composed of old ad ancient trees. Lots of plantlife lived in his forest. IT was very green in general. The air was nice and breezy as well. The moonlight shone as the platoon marched in a scouting sort of formation. They knew they were being hunted and they were very determined to live. The LT were a bunch of war crime committing troops. They signed but disregarded the Mammoth Convention, which was about the laws of war and treatment of prisoners.   Sometimes they would actually take no prisoners. This made my platoon and I to either get out quickly or fight to the death for the ACP Empire.

The platoon took a rest near a small cave surrounded by lots of vegetation and trees. They checked and reloaded their rifles, pistols, machine guns and other weapons. The medics tended to the wounded while others just relaxed. They knew that they can’t stay there for long and they left little evidence of them ever being there so that LT forces cannot track them as well. They left as quickly as they came. Soon a dud artillery shell flew and left a crater beside Dunny Decker and 2 others. That left them shocked and frozen. “Well I see the LT are now randomly shelling the forest,” Fiona said. The sound of artillery fire in the nightly distance terrified most of the troops. They all moved even deeper into the forest. I checked my map and calculated the distance between our position and the extraction zone. “Will we ever get out of here sir? asked one of the younger troops. I said “most certainly” although in my mind I wasn’t completely too sure.
