Pulling Away from the Rest?

If you have noticed the “bigger armies” that usually take the second and third spot, Nachos and IW, have fallen out of the top five. The only army that is even close to us is the Ninjas of CP, the army who drew with us in the Practise Battle 2 weekends ago. So how do we keep away from over-confidence and how do we pull futher away from the armies like Ninjas, Light Troops and UMA?

yes that cartoon is pointless and rubbish 🙂

Before I start, I will just get a screen shot of the top ten to show we are 12% away from second and a huge 21% away from third:

So first of all I will start with how we can avoid over-confidence. I heard a few soldiers saying about the tournament ‘Let someone else win it for a change’. This is one case of over-confidence but it is also unjustified over-confidence. May I remind you we lost the last CPAC tournament (The Christmas Chaos) and we never won the Legends Cup. Just because we are obviously the best army at the moment by a mile, it doesn’t mean we can be over-confident. Now how do we avoid it? Here are some tips:

  • Before saying something will be easy, look back in our history and find a moment were it didn’t turn out the way we planned, it almost always works. It shows anything is possibly no matter what you think about it. Never rule out the “impossible”. It’s two letters too long.
  • After a defeat or draw you should learn and improve. You should always be aware that we can lose or draw on a bad day and you should turn up to every event instead of just saying “Oh, one troop doesn’t make a difference”. If all of the troops said that we wouldn’t be here, would we?
  • Finally, look at another army. You always see cases of the underdog winning in a huge battle. A recent one would be when the rising DW (who were low top ten at the time) easily beat the DCP (who were near the top five at the time). It can easily happen to us if we are too over-confident.

So now, lets go and look how we can pull even further away from the armies like the Ninjas and Light Troops. This is important for a safe block at the top. If we have a drop or if they have a large rise we will be too far away. Here are some tips:

  • Recruit and Train during the week to increase size and improve tactics for the events during the weekend. This will increase recruits joining the army and the performance during events.
  • Take part and win CPAC tournaments to increase popularity and to get even more recruits into the army and to show we are the best army and possibly improve our percentage in the top ten.
  • Increase the amount of time on CP to improve CP status and to make ACP the major powerhouse on CP and to make sure all of CP knows about our army. This will increase popularity and recruits.

So comment if you will use these steps and help the army pull away from the rest and keep over-confidence to a minimal. Bye!
