Hey ACP,
After looking around CPAC and with Funks talking to me, we have been invited to take part in the Champions Cup, CPAC’s spring tournament. The format for this tournament is a bit different from the others, and i was making this post as we have not completely accepted to join it yet. We are set to do recruiting/training for the next few months, and a tournament might not help us as we try to get better sizes.
Pro’s and Con’s of entering the Champions Cup
- Pro – Tournaments are essentially made to be fun! We could battle different armies in the fight to be crowned the best army of the tournament, and it could be better fun instead of training and recruiting on our own.
- Con – Tournaments usually end up in disputes, and make us lose size. We could just take a step back and train and recruit, getting ready to attack when everyone else had forgotten about us..
- Pro – Publicity. Being in the tournament and possibly winning it could get more recruits from other armies who want to join the best army around, causing our size to increase. Also, at finals our size usually gets bigger anyway, as it’s an important event.
- Con – A kind of negative of the previous point, if we lose in the tournament others may join the winners, like they ay do for us if we win, so we may get smaller and other armies may get bigger.
You may be wondering why I’m writing all these reasons, well that’s because it’s not up to us. You were the people who decided you wanted to recruit and train, so it’s your choice to change your original choice and train through a tournament instead. It could be better to train against other armies, or maybe we deserve a bit of peace and quiet after many rough months. You don’t have to make your decision just yet though, here is a bit more information about it.
As I said, it is a bit of a different style tournament. Instead of a basic knockout tournament, this one is going to be staged in GROUPS. There will be 4 groups of 4 teams, which have supposedly been randomly drawn. After that, there will be 4 QUARTER-FINALS where 1st of a group plays 2nd of a different group. After that, there are SEMI-FINALS until finally there is a FINAL with only 2 armies involved. Below are the groups:

- SWAT
- Team Gold
GROUP B
- Army of Club Penguin
- Golden Troops
- Pirates
- Metal Warriors
GROUP C
- Ninjas
- Underground Mafias Army
- Doritos
- Water Vikings
GROUP D
- Light Troops
- Ice Warriors
- Shadow Troops
- Global Defenders
As you can see, the hardest group to probably qualify in will be GROUP A. Personally, I think ACP have been given the easiest group in GROUP B, but remember, we can never take anything for granted. GROUP C, to me, will be an interesting group. Ninjas are on a rise, and there may well be a tough scrap for 2nd place. GROUP D is also a hard place to qualify, with IW and LT with similar sizes, and ST and GD not far behind.
So it’s up to you, you’ve seen the pro’s and con’s (comment if you found any more) and seen our group which could be considered as “Easy”, would you rather take part instead of train and recruit? To find out, there’s another little form for you guys to complete. 😛 Remember, this is your own opinion and it shouldn’t be influenced by others!

If it didn’t seem clear my vote was for tournament. Also, we can recruit and train whenever we want, in the old days when you were on chat you were on CP recruiting, training or fighting rogues. Even before that there was no chat and everything was done on CP. Use the weekdays to your advantage and train then.

I really have found the last few events that we’ve done solely as an army really fun. We should practice some new tactics and be ready to go to war once the tourney is over. Also, it’ll be interesting to see who wins without the ACP there.

Why? It would be excellent training for us, and if we work really hard, we can win it and get those additional recruits. It’s a gamble, but I think it’s worth it. Besides, we’re still the number 1 army, and at the very least we’ll make it to the semi-finals.

I think we should have the tournament because they always bring excitement to us fighting a different army each round. And either way we will still get publicity because our name is the ARMY of Cp which always attracts new recruits which can help us with our sizes. 😀

Why? We just got out of a war the dragged on for about two months, our tactics haven’t been as great as when we jumped into war and I think we need to have a bit more practice and take it easy for March, as it’s the best month for us to recruit.
