Army of Club Penguin

Hello ACP,

It has come to my attention, we are not performing the best we could or meeting most of our high standards. Therefore drastic actions must be taken. Time to get serious. These are some of my ideas I have discuss with Flipper and he shall also be writing his own bit. There are several issues and concerns we would like to address. This post is pretty much only concerning the leaders and not really so much the soldiers of the ACP because they are not really the issue we have.

1. Hits And Posts

I am not sure about the other armies and how they are doing, but CP armies in general have been in a slump compared to the previous years. Like all armies the ACP has suffered its own share. We have not been getting the highest amount of hits we could have lately. To combat this problem, some measures will have to be taken. For now everything here is a suggestion and it will undergo discussion before it is approved.

In order to get higher hits, one way we can do this is by posting interesting posts. All leaders must post at least two or three times a week. They cannot be exclusively posts that entertain the troops. Like for example my Fails of the Week or Debate of the Week. It is nice to have one or two of those during the week for everyone to enjoy to read and etc. but you need to be posting about events or things to help sharpen the abilities of a soldier for example, some of the posts Slider and Ek has made were about Tactics or Slider’s posts about recruiting and its importance.  Both of them have been doing a fair amount of posting for a 2ic/3ic.

Although our size in the latest CPAC tournament was not a factor to our downfall, we actually did very good size wise and pretty decent tactics wise but it is simply unacceptable for us to be posting things like the reminder for the Semi-Finals so late. It was all our faults not just one person. The leaders must remember to keep an eye out for events. Whether you are a Slider, Mchappy, or Klug etc. keep an eye out so we can get those posted as early as possible. If the leaders Ken and Flip, don’t immediately catch it, it should be up to you of telling us or posting it yourself. It could also count towards your weekly amount of posts you make. But once again it cannot be only event posts you make.

Try to make the titles of your posts interesting to attract views and put pictures to amuse or make the post more alive for the troops to read. To re-illiterate we should be having 2-3 posts a day  and the site should always be busy some how. Make interesting posts so that everyone including the leaders will be excited to see what is going around here everyday when they come back from school etc. That is a good way to increase its. You guys should also promote the ACP outside of the army as well maybe. All the leaders can brush up on this.

2. Activity & Join Page

Okay so my next point. Not many of us have been as active as we can be including myself. Activity is based on posting and attendance to events, but you should always come on at least 2 hours a day to interact with the soldiers amongst other things. Once again this is something all the leaders can improve on.  I’m sure we all have our valid reasons but it simply will not do. If you miss one day of being on chat you can make up for it by being on it more the next few days or something. Now, the Join Page, I don’t know how big this issue is but it doesn’t hurt to say it again that YOU MUST DO THE JOIN PAGE! I have seen great improvement from people like Slider in doing the Join Page. If you forget to do it, one day simply do it the next.

3. The Mods And Owners

The mods have been okay recently. Not much bad things have been going on. But there has been a relevance in scamming.  *WINK* WINK* But if the situation with mods deteriorates we will have Un-Mod week every other month run by Ken and Flip with Shab’s advice. Remember, the Hand Picked Mods were chosen for a reason. I was probably one of the first hand picked mods in the history of ACP. It is an honour not a right. With the position of mod comes your duty to enforce the rules. If you constantly abuse your privilege, you will lose your white pawn on the spot. 😀 The owners on chat have been okay as well I guess. They have been keeping the mods in check so it seems. But remember not to abuse the mods but punish them when it is accordingly. It would also help if you come on more sin it would mean the rules are being enforced to a higher degree and it also makes our chat sizes bigger.

4. Unscheduled/Scheduled Event Leading For 2ic and 3ics

Well the leaders Flip and Ken already do enough leading together at battles. But on the advice of Boomer, the 2ics and 3ics can sharpen up their skills in leading. As said by Boomer, this should motivate and make the 2ics and 3ics more active in their job. You guys should be proud you are owners of the most powerful army on Club Penguin. But at the same time you need to be doing your hardest to maintain our reputation by doing all of the things i said above about posting and activity. Once a week you 2ics and 3ics should go and lead an event and you guys can do it together can take turns just like how the leaders lead in the battles. As proof of your leading post the results on the site after like how the leaders usually do. Before you post you should try to get a minimum of around 15 troops online. You can quite possibly even post an event that is scheduled but talk to the leaders first to make sure we have nothing planned on that day but leading an unscheduled event is the most easy way.

5. Overall Picture And Incompetence

The ACP throughout this leadership has been plagued by incompetence most notably in the rank of 3ic. I am not saying all our 3ics are bad or anything, but we have had a lot of 3ics who needed some well uhh… straightening up and reminders on some issues such as the Join Page etc. Incompetence will not be tolerated in any rank or capacity. If any of the leaders from Supreme Commander to 3ic are being incompetent, tell them and call it out in PC. To be an effective fighting force, we must have discipline, and a group of highly trained officers and leaders. If you are lacking or not doing anything that is above this is a perfect guideline for a demotion. An example of a pretty okay 2ic would be as of now Slider. He gets on enough, goes to many events, and posts frequently but could post a little more just like the other leaders.

6. The Leadership Changes

This post is already over 1000 words. Now finally this is the most eventful although tense part. With great consideration and discussion, Flipper and I, have decided to relieve and dismiss Stew20 of his post and rank of Commander General of the Army of Club Penguin. With the reasons being that, Flipper and I have found and have been notified that he has been lacking in the proper posting skills and standards for the ACP. Most certainly we do enjoy Stew’s posts about Famous ACP Troops but they are simply not up to our requirements and standards for posting. His activity and presence on chat is just absolutely too little for the requirements of this rank. Once again we are sorry for doing this but it must be done. This is effectively immediately. The new 3ic is still being discussed as of now but will be announced soon. This has been approved by,

Stew: Well, Thank you ACP for all the wondeful times. I have no idea if I’ll come back or not. The only reason I was still in ACP was because of my important 3ic duty. I thank all my role models, my great friends, and everything. I knew I’d rertire soon, but I never knew when. I suppose this is a good time for goodbye. Maybe I wont be demoted down as far as I thought. Who knows. If I get demoted to general, I’ll gladly stay, but I know I wont. So, I thank all the wonderful times ACP has given me, and all the life lessons. (Ive learned not to get a leader mad :P). Hey, some good things come to an end. (It stinks it was 5 days away from my Birthday too D:) . Anyways, thank you ACP, and ALWAYS stay strong.

Stew2: Also, I beleieve I understand Flipper and Ken. They are trying to tell me my posts are “fluff pieces”. Have you ever read the newspaper and seen a common theme? Thats what Im sure they (and I) both see in my posts. I can (if the leaders let me) fix all of this. If I can get a second chance (or at least a week or 2 last chance) I will always try my best to give the entire ACP the best efforts I can. I have a couple of new ideas that I may be able to post about, If I am given the chance to do so.

(Hopefully) I’ll have some new and improved posts, and I’ll try my best to turn things around. Its hard to focus on having a good life, being active in probably the best thing that has ever happend to me, and focusing on school.
