Owners need to Improve
Due to family events I was away from ACP for 3 days early last week. When I came back the first thing I noticed was that no one had posted. I understand that there were no battle posts, being that no battles had happened during that time, but I still expected someone to keep the site active even with an unrelated post. I mean the first post in 3 days to be posted was by a retired leader, matre10.
This is ridiculous, I’m not the only leader here. On the ranks page it shows that there is another Leader (1ic), two 2ics, and two (active) 3ics. Yet if someone were to look at the site during those 3 days they would have thought that there was only a single leader. Come on guys, it shouldn’t be hard for everyone to post twice. The posts also can’t be mega small, I mean some of the recent posts we had were insulting our honour, barely even 50 words description, there should be AT LEAST 150 words, and even then there should be WAY more.
No, I am not perfect, but I am one of the few who is actually doing anything, Head Generals and Commander Generals you are under performing and slacking. A post a week isn’t enough, especially if it’s just a weekly series of posts, you need something better. I want to see improvement over the coming months, and having at least 2 posts a day. If there is already 3 posts, I advise you not to post again until the next day, and don’t forget to add a ‘Check out this’ if you are posting above an important post.
Yes, this is a warning as we are becoming inactive on site, and especially the 2ic’s should be doing way more because you are not even posting once, and the Commander Generals are. Just because you are now a 2ic, doesn’t mean your position is assured and that you can be lazy, it means the complete opposite. You are a very high rank in one of the biggest army arounds and you should work to keep that rank. I am not blaming this on the soldiers because they try their best and comment on the posts and attend the events.
- On a side note, well done to Rocky2070, Maxy777 and Yellowie 25 who have been commenting the most recently.
Hurricanex1 sums it up perfectly in a comment on Shaboomboom’s latest post on CPAC ‘Do we need 3ic’s’. With a few alterations by me made in bold, here it is:
I have noticed once many people get to the 3ic/2ic rank in an army. They intend to get very lazy and stop being as active as they usually would. Don’t get me wrong, of course there’s still some people who work harder but more than 50% of 3ics/2ics get lazy once they get to owner rank/are promoted.
This is exactly what is happening right now, and I want to see improvement, our site stats are falling, and we need to get back up there. We are the Army of Club Penguin, and we can’t slack, we have to work for the soldiers, without them it would be nothing. You are an owner rank because you have proved that you can compete under high circumstances, and we don’t want to take that away from you, but we can and we will. The leaders are partially to blame to and I am directing this at all owner ranks, not just the 2ic/3ic’s.
To help out, Kenneth and I have decided something very important. Due to the absence of Bunkerbumble, ACP Division General Ekpenguin9 will be made temporary 3ic to replace her. He is Euro, the same as she is, and we think he will be the perfect temporary replacement until Bunkerbumble either A. Retires or B. Comes back. If she hasn’t come back by 1st January 2012, like she said she would, she will be officially demoted and an official replacement will be made.

However, it isn’t up to us, we’d also like to see what your opinion is on the situation with the owners of ACP that’s including the leaders too, as we do not know everything and can’t be everywhere at every time, so, do put your suggestions on how to improve and what you like at the moment:

I think that Icey and yourself, Flipper, are the best and most active ranks. Ken and Slider are also kinda active, but the 3ics need to be more active.

My opinion: I think generally they are quite good, I’m not asking for EXTREMELY long posts I just wanna see a post every day or two. Activity is terrible Flipper, yourself and Kenneth and Icey are the only leaders that are active, I go on chat every week day to see around 1 mod. Not cool (D)

What do you think of the owner ranks: Overall, the owner ranks are doing okay but some of them are trying their hardest. Flipper, Ken and Mch are the most active out of the whole bunch. They make posts, are on chat often and actually apologize if they don’t come to events. I would say Slider and Stew are doing alright but they need to be a little more active in their duties. I haven’t seen much work from Klug though but I guess he is still adjusting to his 3ic spot. All of the owners need to make more posts. I expect to read at least 2 posts per day.

What do you think of the owner ranks:
Mchappy – Ok, but doesn’t post much and hasn’t gone on the chat recently.
Slider – He goes on the chat, but doesn’t really make enough post’s.
Stew – He only posts his interview posts once a week and I hardly ever see him on the chat.
Klug – He also doesn’t really post much but he is on the chat a lot.
Bunker – Sorry Bunker, but I really don’t think you should stay in the ACP. This “break” or “hospital thing” has gone too far.
Flipper – He is the most active owner, posts and goes on the chat. Good on you flipper
Kenneth – He posts enough and I guess he goes on the chat every day.
Ekpenguin – No offence to Ek, but I thought myself or Tempahh has more experience than Ek (Especially at posting). However, I hope you do well Ek.
There’s always room to improve. 😀

Opinion: I think that some of the owner ranks have been allowed to become too comfortable in their positions. Some are working very hard, but the former are just lounging around on chat when they could be getting people on CP for unscheduled events.

What do you think of the owner ranks: I agree with you: They need to post more. Also, The owners NEED active checks! I was gone for like a year (I said I retired, no one took me off ranks and I returned) and I was still on the ranks. Also, I barely see any owners on CP. They need to stop slacking and actually go on CP AND Chat for once!

everything is fine some people like me have to study for final exams for school our numbers fall before winter and summer break mostly due to final tests and home work at school then we pick back up its just something we have to make due till the exams and finals are over.

I’ve explained a number of times as to why I have little to no time to make posts during four to five days out of the week. That could change soon, as I am looking to get a laptop computer for Christmas, but I can’t spend as much time writing posts as I would like. I’m going to work on that in the future, as it is definitely an area of leading that I’d like to work on.

What do you think of the owner ranks: I am somewhat pleased with the owner ranks, but yes. They need great improvement. I have noticed Stew, Mch, and especially bunker haven’t been on at all recently. I think they should make at least 1 post per week, even if its a poll or tactics or random stuff. Stew has been posting, but he hasn’t been on the chat much. By the way, WOOT WOOT Ek :D.

I’m sorry for not commenting recently and being inactive,I’ve been poorly for 2 days. Anyway,I think some of the owners are doing well,some are doing bad.Take klug.He is doing great,but all he ever posts about is general meetings like stew with FAT.Mchappy posts well though.While bunker was here,she didn’t post much.Shab’s right:do we need 3ic’s?They say 3ics watch over division activity but isn’t that the job of the division general?Anyway,today I am triple patrolling to make up and will be back on track asap.As I said, I have been ill over the last 2 days 🙂

What do you think of the owner ranks: I think it is a shame that owners aren’t being as active as they should be.This is the Army Of CP last time I checked and I do beleive it is the hardest army to become leader in ever.And if owners aren’t doing there job or the mods aren’t either i think actions have to be made.There is way to many people worthy of getting mod/owner who aren’t.At least that’s the way I feel. I have been in ACP for almost 2 years and I am only Brig. General.Yes I hate complaining about ranks but I think the owners are the only ones to blame because they should here out every troops thoughts.Without owners knowing your Rank / Problem , are you just going to sit there for years like I am doing or pc them.I pced most owners and they gave me an awful response and told me to stop asking for ranks.I wasn’t asking for a better rank I simply thought i could recommend it. But that wasn’t my point my point was that owners should take this more seriously and if they can’t then Flipper , or Ken should take action! ACP has a reputation to live up to and we aren’t there. Owners need to start acting mature and become more active. Also , like I said there is many members who are worthy from what I have seen to become maybe not mod but around highest member , but that will never happen without active owners.

What do you think of the owner ranks: I believe that the owners are a little bit too abusive, in two ways. First, they kick for selfish reasons, just because they are bored. Only some though. Also, they cuss at troops sometimes as well. This is not based on biasness, it is based on my personal experience with some of the owners. Otherwise, the owners are doing great if you take out the abuse.

What do you think of the owner ranks: first off I want to say sorry for not being on for a long time it was just heard for me to attend battles then after a while I lost motive but anyway I think owner ranks are a great thing as it gives soldiers underneath those ranks to strive for something and the great taste of success but they can get LAZY after they get it but overall I think their great
