Happy (Canadian) Thanksgiving And Columbus Day // Reminders!

Hai ACP,

If you don’t know today is Thanksgiving in Canada and Columbus Day in the US. In case you don’t know why we celebrate them, the Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving for the same reason the Americans do 😀 Columbus Day is a federal holiday in the United States because it is to celebrate the discovery of America by Christopher Columbus in 1492!

A lot of you are wondering why Canada and America celebrate Thanksgiving on two different days. Well that is because Thanksgiving day celebrates the giving of thanks by the pilgrims for their good harvest. Since Canada is north of the United States, Canada’s fall harvest is earlier then the American one so it makes sense for it to be celebrated on time. So that is why they are celebrated on two different days.

Oh remember to also vote in the poll below to decide which army you would like to have a Practice battle with. It ends on Wednesday! The choices are LT, IW, Nachos and DW! Vote and comment quickly!

Rocky: I am thankful for the epic Leaders, fantastic Head Generals, cool Commander Generals, great Division Generals (so many generals :? ) our hilarious mods and of course, our active and loyal members of the Army of Club Penguin. I am glad that we are one big happy family, that we can depend on one another and make each other proud. I am also thankful that almost all of the soldiers in ACP are healthy and are able to communicate with one another, unlike some children of the world who experience poverty, war, diseases, hunger and lack of education. I hope that ACP will continue to be the #1 army of Club Penguin and will always be alive.

    Amen! Oh, and happy Columbus Day (Jamaica was ‘found’ by Columbus in 1494) and Happy Thanksgiving, American and Canadian.”
