I have just discovered something amazing, something no one has ever heard about before. I found out…where club penguin armies were before club penguin came along. Before club penguin they played a game called…..
CLUB PONG!!!
Each soldier was equal to 1 quarter and the leaders of each army played the other leaders. A win meant a free round and each time a leader lost they gave up one of their soldiers to the winning army.
Now…Pong used to be the high tech game at this time. People actually formed armies by going to their local park and bringing a big battery. Once the internet was formed however they people got sucked into their computers where they played pong online. Pong online was not very entertaining so they disbanded.
A little after Club Penguin was created one of the people left over from Club Pong, Oagalthorp, decided to recreate pong armies except this time he used Club Penguin. However he found out that no one at the park wanted to form an army with him so he shuffled home and created a thread on the miniclip forums which was the creation of the Army of Club Penguin.
