I know that some people won’t like the title of this post, and some will, but please, let me explain.
Shaboomboom first couped Dr Nono Jr. soon after he gained leadership. The legitimacy of this couping was hotly debated, but it was to be soon enough settled as long as Shab carried out his leadership responsibilities effectively and skillfully. Unfortunately, this has not been the case. I am not criticizing Shab’s Leadership skill, I am critical of his activeness, and the fact that I am not yet fully aware of his battlefield leadership capabilities.. mainly because you have to see it to make a judgement.
Both internally within ACP, and externally, there has been much unrest about Shab. Internally, I regularly receive 5 to 10 PC’s every day asking me to fire/coup Shab, and defending Shab has become a full time occupation for me, and I would rather lead this army than have to defend my senior leader. Externally, some of his ideas brought ACP into a political death match, something we want to avoid at all costs, and what we would have gained was minute in comparison of what we had to loose.
This is in not an attempt for me to take power, nor is it an attempt to discredit Shab, he is a good friend, and I don’t want it to end over this. I just want what is best for the army. If you were more active, I am sure you would be an exceptional leader, but the fact of the matter is, you are not. You have a job, it is hard enough to balance leading ACP and school, no matter a job. This is just not the right time for you to be leading Shab.
But I am not free of fault myself, nor do I claim to be. I have my flaws, but everyone does, and the amount of unrest this has caused ACP soldiers is on a large scale. I made a chat vote in which I posed the question “Say I if you think Shab is doing a good job as leader, say Q if you don’t” in total 23 people voted, 5 people voted I, the other 18 people said Q. Whilst this is hardly full proof, it shows great discontent with Shab, and such an overwhelming lack of support in a leader is something I will not stand for.
I want to see the soldiers happy, not power. It is my belief that an army cannot function correctly without happy soldiers. I am though, someone who accepts their downfalls, and to become a narcissist is something I fear. I know there are those out there who would find it inappropriate and disgraceful of me to declare myself leader over my superior officer, and that is not what I am going to do. I am aware that I am probably exceeding the limits of my powers with this compromise, but I feel that it is something that has to be done, and is the fairest way to do it. It is these beliefs, in addition to what I have said previously which leads me to do what I am going to do.
To Shab personally: Please don’t hate me for doing this. I see people on chat complaining too much, its not so much a criticismof your leadership, it’s as I said before, I believe we cannot function without happy soldiers. By this I do not mean giving them power, the dictatorship idea wasn’t the wrong one, I mean if they are completely out of touch and out of sync with their leader, we will not be as capable as we can be on the battlefield as a unit.
This format could be used to set a precendent for selecting aleader in the future, but whether this is implented or not is up to the incumbent leader.
This will show who the people want as leader, and if that person turns out to be Shab, so be it, but something needed to be done about this, and I didn’t want this to look like I am abusing my power completely and unjustly taking this army over, that is the reason, in addition to the fact Shab should have a fair shot at this that leads me to call an election:
There will be an election for Leader of ACP between Shaboomboom and Iasgae56. Both Shab and I have been authored on the ACP site, and Dry has been admined to look after the site with Boomer and Oagal.
