RPF Battle *DON’T FORGET*

Update: Fort was the only one who didn’t apologize, which is kinda sad considering even Shab did xD.  He can continue the argument by himself if he wants, but the rest of us are moving on…

Don’t forget about the Battle with RPF.  Here is the info:

RPF has set up a battle where we will invade Tuxedo (for fun), and they will defend.

When: Saturday, April 18, 2009

Where: Tuxedo Beach Dock, but we will be moving to the Snow Forts eventually

Times:

4 pm PST

5 pm MST

6 pm CST

7 pm EST

12 am U.K. (sorry U.K.)

Make sure to show up about half an hour early so we can do some recruiting. 

Here are some things we need to focus on for this battle:

1. Spreading out

You should never be standing on top of someone else.  If you are, move to the closest open space (see below).  Even if you aren’t overlapping, trying to spread out so you take up the most space possible.

This is a group of 23 soldiers, but it doesn’t seem as impressive because there are a lot of people bunched in the bottom left corner.  As a good rule, if you are recruiting, you should never be overlapping another soldier.  In a battle with another large army (RPF, Nachos), you will probably only get half the room, so take up as much space as possible in that area by standing should-to-should (but not on top of each other).

Bad example:

We (well some of us…) are all crammed in the corner, making us look tiny.  We have nearly 25 soldiers in the room, more than 10 of which are crammed in that corner, and the rest are in the center.  If we regrouped and spread out, we would have matched the Nachos, who actually have almost the same number of troops.  If you compare the space we are taking up, however, the Nachos look about 4 times larger.  In a battle, you need recruits, and you need to look like the bigger army whether you are or not.

Good example:

Everyone (for the most part) is very spread out, and we are taking up an entire room without overlapping people.

2. Stay quiet for commands

If you are talking a lot, your word bubbles will cover over important orders from me or another leader.  Make sure you stay quiet so you can see what I’m saying.

Bad Example:

I was trying to give out the battle plans beforehand, but everyone talked over me.

If I needed to give a command, everyone is quiet and paying attention.

3. Don’t crowd around me

This goes along with the spreading out and staying quiet ones.  Don’t pile on top of me, people need to be able to see where I am.  The biggest help you can do in a battle is just to spread out.  If I move in a room, it’s because I’m being crowded out and need to get somewhere where people can see my commands, so please don’t follow me.

Bad Example:

As you can see, the battle is already going on.  Instead, there is a crowd of people around me in the bottom left corner, which is preventing me from telling each team who their leader is (I wasn’t even in this battle, so there shouldn’t be anyone over there).  It is also taking people away from the battle.  This means no asking to be my buddy during a battle either.  You need to focus on the battle, not just me.

Good Example:

No one is near me, and everyone can clearly see what I am saying.

So make sure to:

  1. Spread Out/Regroup After Charges
  2. Stay Quiet for Commands
  3. Don’t Crowd Around those Giving Commands

    WAIT A MINUTE OK I THINK IM 100% SURE I CAN MAKE IT because there is a big chance my family wont be eating together because my mom and 1 of my sisters r out of town visiting the college my sister will go to next year. so its just me, my other sister, and my dad. so its likely we wont eat together at the table. but like i said if we do i will eat my food really fast and then come on my comp! 😀
