Solraida: Seriously, Arguments on chat are becoming more frequent and vulgar. Arguments are what trigger the deterioration in armies especially ACP. Long ago army members didn’t have much arguing because they focused on an un official policy known to me as the “FUN NOT ——– POLICY”. Some of you argue constantly which weakens the trust between soldiers. If you are to function as one army you need to remember to stop being corrupt as a leader(this is a hint to one particular leader) and stop being stubborn and childish. The constant bickering leaves you vulnerable to invasions because you are unable to participate in a conversation without childish humor and or flamming. Of course, some of you know better than that, and for this I’m proud. For those who you call “noobs” they are probably more well behaved and more eager to do something for this army while some of you sit on your @$$!$ and argue on chat all day. Armies are also falling because they have gone up your own behinds with government. This generation has lost its way.
Note: Congress is the Vla Squad since aber disbanned congress. We may be re-instituting Congress with Aber’s approval.

Aber, thanks for the email. To summarize, Thomas made an inappropriate joke about Aber, so Fort membered him. Shab remodded him, and Fort membered him again. This happened a few times and resulted in Fort saying that Shab “destroys ACP” and Shab telling Fort to leave. As a result of this incedent, Thomas was almost forced to retire by his parents. So I’ll start with what I can do about this. Shab and Fort will both be modded for at least a week (any longer, the other leaders will need to propose it). Hopefully this will cool everyone off.
Next, Aber told me in the email that many of ACP’s leaders were “sick of Shab”. This is the first I’ve heard of this from any of the leaders, so I didn’t know how strongly you felt about it. The only people who ever really confronted me directly about him were Head and Meggis (who is gone). I’m not sure how far you want to take this, but so you don’t get mad at me for doing nothing, here’s the deal. I can’t fire Shab. The way our government was established by Oagal made it so that it would serve as a Democratic Republic. Were I to fire Shab, I would be making ACP a Dictatorship. That would basically be the same as me saying “Yes Shab has power, but I’m going to ignore that, because my power is greater than his”, or “your power doesn’t matter, only I have power”. The way Oagal set up the government, it acts very similarly to the U.S. government. Below is a copy of part of the ACP Nation page, which outlines the different positions in the DRACP.
3. Government:
The ACP has a Democratic Republic. That means we are a mix between a Democracy (We elect our leaders) and a Republic (The people have a say, and we have votes for big decisions). Here are the ranks in the Government:
- President: This person can be impeached (fired from his/her position) if there is a unanimous decision by the Senate (Congress).
- Vice President [Co-Leader(s)]: This person must be elected, but has no limit for the time he/she can serve. The only way to get a new one is if the President fires him/her, or if he/she is impeached, with a unanomous decision by the Senate (Congress).
- Senator/Consulate: These people must be elected. They can only serve for four months before becoming ordinary citizens or being elected again.
- Citizen (Soldier): Anyone who isn’t elected is a citizen.
If you want to go so far as impeachment, here is how that works. I cannot fire Shab, nor can I call for an impeachment, because it is a government affair that is handled by the DRACP President. The reason Shab is tried as a President is because when Oagal and the other leaders at the time met to decide how to organize the government, it was determined that the President (Jedi) was to have the same amount of power as the Co-Leader (Shab). This means that the following needs to happen for Shab to be impeached:
- Aber needs to determine that there is a good reason for Shab to be impeached
- She must introduce this reason in Congress
- Congress must vote unanimously in favor of Shab being impeached
- If Shab refuses to resign, I would then have the power (granted by Congress’s vote) to fire him
Easier said than done, obviously. Oagal purposely (I assume) made it so that Congress can’t influence too much in this decision. If one strong-minded person got enough support from the others, they could easily achieve a 2/3 majority, the percentage required for impeachment in the U.S. Instead, it must be unanimous, meaning everyone must vote in favor of impeachment.
Another difficult step is finding a reason that is good enough to warrant impeachment. As a U.S. example, President Richard Nixon was impeached because members of his cabinet broke into the opposing party’s Head Quarters and stole information. That would be like Shab being caught hacking the Nachos site and stealing their info. At this point, I don’t really see anything that Shab has done with that sort of severity, which means it will be very difficult to impeach him.
That being said, hopefully everyone understands this now. I spoke with Head and a few army leaders about this a few weeks ago, but it seems to me no one other than me has ever looked at the ACP Nation page to understand what was going on there (mostly directed at Fort for saying I wasn’t doing anything). Fort may not have necessarily needed to know though, since TomY handled the government for most of Fort’s time.
Rather than wasting time on an impeachment that is far from likely, I would like to meet with the other leaders to determine if there is anything else that needs to be done about Shab other than being a mod for a week(+). Hopefully we can do that some time this weekend.

My vote would be to not impeach. Shab does a good job. Tempers flared, they will flare again one day. Next time it may be another head on the block. We do not want to set precedent over a stupid / very wrong joke. I can see why Aber was upset and justly why Fort stepped up for her, just as Shab stepped up for his friend Thomas. We would all do the same for a friend. Every one of us. Let time heal the open wounds and lets get back to being the best army on CP, and not some internally bickering TV station. Who’s with me?
